Hi DK, these islands are in Thailand. This is part of Koh Tao and also shots of Koh Lanta. I'd highly recommend the east and north side of the island in Bali. The south was very very busy and a little over crowded in my opinion. 😊👌

@@bertspringdog Thank you! What parts of the east/north? Changu and Ubud? OR other parts?

Personally I thought Channgu was a little over crowded for my liking. The roads especially. But it's a huge area definitely worth a visit! Ubud, also busy.. but then it is a small town. Lots of coffee shops, markets, temples and things to do and tour shops making is super easy to explore and sign up for activities. The ubud area is absolutely stunning. But I'd suggest trying to get out of town a little way to the east of the island. I stayed in an area called Manggis. Way less people, felt more authentic and everything still easy accessable and you can get a place with a sea view for a much better rate.. if you prefer less busy areas I suggest here or Kabu. Its always good stay in a place for a few days and then move somewhere else to explore. The island is very big and at can take a few hours to get between places just because of the road systems being few, and also very busy at peak times. If you rent a bike, definitely wear a helmet.. and also, in my opinion, not the place to learn. Make sure you have your international driving permit from your country of residence as well as your regular driving licence.. they will stop and fine you if you don't obey the rules. :)

@@bertspringdog Thanks so much for your recommendations. I keep hearing the same thing over and over again so we have decided to go straight to UBUD from the airport and then up to AMED and then over to GILIT ! Do you think it's fine to get a GRAB taxi from the airport to Ubud? My only concern right now is getting from the airport to our first place as I keep hearing how bad the roads are!!

The main roads are actually in fair enough condition, it's more the side roads and in smaller villages where it's more bumby and pot holed.
Taxi wise, definitely get Grab Taxi. There is an official Grab Taxi stand outside the arrivals..go out the front and you'll see signs for it. Head right out of the door..
You'll go past a load of people offering you taxis etc . Ignore them all.. however if you encounter a guy called Geddie and he offers you the same price or cheaper as Grab taxi, he is legit. But honestly the main roads are fine... Just super busy! But yes, download Grab taxi app and use that. You'll be fine. :)
