Well I must say I was very skeptical but because a guest was vegan I thought I would give it a chance. OMG ! It is as good if not better than any gravy I have made before. I highly recommend this recipe and you are going to be amazed at how good it is!
Even though I consider myself a pretty good cook I just can’t get gravy right. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I think maybe I’m just not patient enough waiting for the cooking process. You make it look so easy with your clear instructions and beautify done filming and editing. You’ve inspired me to give cooking gravy another try. I make cooking videos too. I just love that I can learn from talented creators like you. I hope we can learn together as we grow our channels!
I just made my first gravy and is absolutely delicious; your recipe is easy to follow and I liked your presentation. I used vegetable broth instead of water, added 1 TBSP of plant based butter (next time grass fed), 1 TBSP of soy sauce (didn't have tamari), 2 small white potatoes and 1 small red; after simmered 10 minutes, I let it cool to room temp and poured in the blender. I smothered the gravy on my chicken, biscuit and veggies; it was delicious and will definitely make it again. Thank you for the recipe!
I'm writing from Vancouver area Canada. Wow this is good tip haw to make gluten free gravy I really appreciate thank you for your hard work awesome 💐💐😊😉👍👍💞🌞🌞
Thanks...I thought I could make it today but I don't have the potatoe.. but I love it. Well in Theory so far. But I think it will be my go too. Sharing with my mom now.
This was very good gravy. I just thought I would say a few things to help someone out. First, it did not work in a food processor. Now,I know she said high speed blender, but I thought a food processor should work just as well. It doesn’t. It came out the texture of applesauce. I will make it again with my high speed blender but my daughter didn’t have one. We did not have enough pots to do potatoes and gravy. So my daughter came up with the idea of biscuit and gravy. So we used impossible meat sausage and frozen biscuits . It was good with the biscuit but the sausage was too salty and slightly over powering. This is good gravy. You want to enjoy the flavor of the gravy so I would not recommend doing this. . The recipe made exactly two cups for us.
I really like your recipe although I'm not a vegan a vegetarian or gluten-free. I totally get why people would want to be vegetarians and vegans but I don't get the gluten free. Being a vegetarian or a vegan I think is a healthy, conscious choice. Going with the gluten-free current trend is nothing other than being trendy. Human beings survived and evolved over 75,000 years plus on a gluten-rich diet. Less than 00001% of people are actually allergic to gluten. And those people should be on a gluten-free diet. I'm going to make your gravy and serve it with a side of vegetarian potatoes and my handmade elk sausage from Elk that I harvest and processed myself. Good day to you and thank you for a good recipe.
I don’t know where you got that statistic, but its estimated at least 1% of the population (3 million people) have celiac disease (some don’t even get diagnosed because they dont have obvious symptoms. just bloating that they think is normal.) and those people require gluten free options. It’s not a trend.. it’s people making foods more accessible for those suffering from the condition.
@@DetoxinistaRecipes Because of my Hashimotos and according to Dr Micheal Greger at Nutrition Facts I shouldn't eat any cruciferous vegetables like parsnip and cauliflower.
Those mushrooms would cost $25.00 in Toledo, Ohio, so this is off the list. And, why so much tamari and soy sauce in vegan sauces and gravies, it tastes awful.

Thank you for the recipe!
Stick to plant based my friend, you dont want to be responsible for the rapping and murdering of poor cow and calves.
Regular soy sauce has gluten FYI.
Thank you so much for sharing, this is simple easy and looks good and delicious. I can’t wait to try on my meatless meatloaf.🙏👍
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for sharing this. I can't wait to try it as I have a serious problem when I eat dairy.
That looks great, thank you! ❤️
Thanks!
I can confirm this recipe is fantastic. It does need thinning sometimes because the texture can be too potato-ish.
Absolutely incredible! Wow tastes exactly like gravy.
Can't wait to try this, thanks 😁👍
Hope you love it!

I react to wheat so gluten free recipes work because often most of them omit wheat. Also, it’s not a trend, what a dumb remark.
I can't eat potatoes, do you think sweet potatoes would work?
I don't think the flavor would be the same with the added sweetness. Maybe try parsnip or cauliflower?

Wow! No artificial ingredients
Vegan version of gravy
What if I DON'T have a blender?

That’s the beauty of making your own - one can alter the recipe any way you like to suit your taste. 😉
Now instead of potatoes USE CALIFLOWER
Nothing wrong with a potato.
Why?
Won’t be thick
Delicious
