After playing over 60 hours of the latest Souls-like masterpiece, 'Lies of P,' I can say it's probably one of the best Souls-likes ever made.

My GAME OF THE YEAR! I didn't like the demo. But I picked it up and so glad I did. Unreal job by a new-ish company.. just a great fun exciting game. The more u play it the better it becomes in my opinion.
The demo felt a bit rough and too hard but after the rework into the final game the beginning was amazing.
In m opinion it’s the best souls like by far. Once Lords of the Fallen came out I was worried about Lies of P loosing that title instantly but after playing it for a while I still think Lies of P is way better. Just the love put into the world alone itself is already superior. The gameplay is outstanding in comparison to the other non-FromSoft souls likes (with some weaknesses of course but still the best one we’ve got so far). But for me the biggest selling point is said world. The story, the premise, the characters, the mystery and the overall attention to detail. Even during the originals I’ve rarely been that interesting in the games story as in Lies of P. It’s ironic that I always said to myself that I’d hate to see a souls where you fight against robots due to their lack of emotions and story. Then this game came out and I enjoyed the robot bosses the most when it comes to design and theme. Of course during the endgame we find out that the puppets are actually powered by human souls or something like that but it’s still something we don’t know while fighting them most of the time. I love what this new studio did and I hope the DLC is going to be as good as the rest.
I was super excited for Lord of the Fallen but it just feels unpolished, while Lies of P was rock solid from start to finish.
@@SpiceLordofCinder yea same for me. The one big thing that made me try out Lords of the Fallen was the promise of triple A quality but in the end that’s probably the weakest aspect about that game. Besides the technical stuff it’s pretty fun tho. Visually it’s amazing in some areas.
@@mt2r-music Yeah, it's by no means a bad game, but in my opinion, Lies of P is better. I find it a lot more balanced because you tend to get ganked a lot in LOTF, especially in Umbral.
This title is a big slap in the face of the so called giants tripleAAA games. For me it was an awesome experience. Unbelievable good
Yeah it really is. It's pretty crazy that these days it's surprising when a Triple-A game releases in a finished, non-buggy state.
I have to admit, my only issue with the Black Rabbit Brotherhood fights was Eldest having an Overhead Chop that's got delay, massive reach (especially in the lunge), and is a quick attack animation making it super easy to catch the player. Being a potential Fury Attack was just his icing on that cake.
That said, I love how the Black Rabbit Brotherhood fights both are clearly coded to be fair to the player as a gank fight. They will take turns being the primary attacker, and even Eldest will tone it down when a bro is around to help him. You will definitely see this difference when you switch between having a specter fight with you and when you don't.
I'd also like to throw out Code Vein as a great Souls-like game that's not a FromSoftware game. Anime aesthetics aside, it does plenty quite well and has its own cool aspects to differentiate itself, such as making Armor its own weapon.

If you want a story that will rip your heart out and spit in you, get the game and read/ explore everything
I think the first Black Rabbit Brotherhood fight is excellent, most people fight them the wrong way (hitting the Eldest and ignore the little brothers), so it's very misunderstood.
Personally, my issue is the same one I have with the God Skin Duo, where the big guy is the fastest enemy in the battle, which makes him hard to deal with when paired with the other brothers. Although everyone is going to have a different experience.

The best battle theme music For me is fighting Champion Victor
As a lifelong Xbox user and souls Virgin who married a PlayStation bro, I can confidently say that Bloodborne is worth buying the PlayStation for. I have never pre-ordered a game in my life and I would preorder, buy the PS6 and take a week off work if they announced Bloodborne 2 for PS6.

That's what I like about these games, every seems to have a wildly different experience with the bosses.
Nioh 2 definitely beats out Lies of P. But it's definitely up there

Easily my top souls game including games lkke Elden ring, bloodborne and sekiro and that is because this game mixed all the best feature of the aformentioned games
