    No subscribers? Well, let me be the first! I am a neophyte in the cooking realm, no kidding. A few years ago, a recipe called for 4 cloves of garlic, so I bought (not knowing) 4 heads of garlic, needless to say the recipe was a little heavy on the garlic flavor 😝 And really whack was when my brother used tuna instead of ground beef (because that's what he had.) Unfortunately we cook alike and substitute things that look like the other, but more frequently we use "this instead of that because we don't have that." He is no longer with us, so in his memory I want to try to make a couple of decent meals that I can always fall back on in case of company for 8-10. My Mom (bless her heart) doesn't make many meals outside of her comfort zone but she has perfected those she knows and darn they taste fabulous, her go-to meal is a dry Enchilada not the messy 'Mole' sauce version.
