    Have a 2004 Dodge Stratus SXT with 162,500 miles with original water pump and timing chain. I've only used full synthetic oil and check my radiator reservoir ever few days, engine still running.

    Excellent way of explaining 60 degrees pass TDC. Is that the updated oil pump with a hole for main chain increased lubrication??

    How did you put the sprocket on? Did you have to take the crank shaft bolt out? If so how did you do it ? I’m doing the same thing and this timing stuff has me nervous!

    Currently doing a head job on a 2005 2.7l out of a 300. The cams need replacing which I found, but unable to locate the caps. Have you had any luck finding such parts?

    There are 2 water freeze plugs on back of the heads and 2 on back of block for water.

    Very informative thinking about doing likewise. I have a leak I think in a freeze plug is leaking between the transmission and engine on the bottom. Everything else is bone dry. Will you show the back of the motor? It is a $ 20.00 kit or less for whole motor and would suggest strongly suggest replace everything back there even any transmission seal. Running preety good til this leak. Replaced timing chains and water pump all of that is bone dry on my 2.7L. Looking forward to your next video.

    Can you change the oil pump with out taking the motor out??

    • @zeppone4045
      @zeppone4045  Год назад

      YES, BUT YOU NEED TO TAKE CRANKSHAFT GEAR OFF. YOUR NOT WORKING WITH MUCH ROOM WITH RADIATOR IN CAR

    How did you put that timing chain sprocket thing back on after you put the oil pump how do you install that

      I installed that using a large socket that uses a 3/4 drive. I had to buy a longer crankshaft damper bolt to press sprocket back on. Once on a little bit, i used the original crank bot to press it on the rest of the way. You need to use a caliper to measure the distance of the sprocket face to front of crank. Its very specific measurement. You will see measurement in service manual…..

    Great video mate. Do you know what is the correct oil pump pressure of the Dodge Journey 2.7?

    Did the original oil pump have an arrow timing mark on the top as well?
