Peru, South America and a lot of rain! Tony and I find an alternative route to Machu Picchu which would involve dumping the bikes and hiking through the bush for a couple of days in the rain to reach another one of the 7 wonders of the world. The hiking was all good training for Dakar. Afterwards, we get back on the bikes and head for the border of Bolivia.
