- After riding from the Arctic Ocean all the way through the Americas, we have arrived in Asuncion, Paraguay for the Start of the Dakar Rally 2017. We take a short look back over the journey before going to pick up the race bike and get stuck into the preparations for the big event, saying goodbye to Basil Bike for a few weeks and embarking on the next big challenge.

39 years of riding Japanese bikes, you motivated me to buy a KTM 690 Enduro R. I know it is not the same bike as Bassil but it gives me a thrill of a live time every time i ride it and it is Daily. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us, i am following it like crazy.
Having watched every episode since R2P began, I can honestly say that each one improves on the previous one. From the editing to the personal content, I don't think anything else compares out there in the ADV segment. @@irishrover63 Hello, IR. Actually, since I support two families and a start-up business, I have precious little time to do any adventure riding beyond single day rides. I hope to rectify that situation in 2019 as there is much to explore in the western USA. For now, I am a vicarious explorer.

i kinda disagree, since watching the "live Edit" of 2018 dakar race earlier these episodes are a bit comical.leaves me craving for the footage that was not posted to the chanel there has to be more film than what we have seen.
id rather watch that than this dated story
@@altfseven Perhaps you aren't aware of the time delay between the actual riding and the posting of each episode? This began as a small production and remains as such, due to various constraints including their budget. The Dakar Rally is a concentrated effort compared to the R2P production. I know they accept contributions to assist them in their efforts to compile an entertaining package. See what you can do to help.

i wonder, different rocker arms? wasn't it just doing the pinch mod so the rollers don't rattle loose? or using a too large clearance to gain whatever?
