- Sometimes major set-backs happen when you least expect them, when they do, the important thing is to stay positive, get ON IT straight away and make a plan to get it sorted and fill in any spare time you have with other challenges and adventures. This time, I chose to join the KTM Adventure Rally in Swaziland while waiting for parts to rebuild Basil....again! Fun times were had despite the disaster of the previous days.

What a bummer with Basil's gearbox failure! However, thanks for including it in the video and showing us that even the experts run into serious setbacks such as this. Thanks for keeping it real, Lyndon and God bless!

Looked like a lot of fun.....Apart from the busted gearbox. Great Dyno results - gotta be proud of that! I was surprised to see a dual purpose rear tyre spinning on that rock, thought everyone would have aggressive tread (knobbies) on an event like that.
Glad you had fun at the KTM do....what a bummer about Basil. Hopefully it's a straightforward rebuild. Cheers, Steve

That’s what I was thinking... he just rebuilt it, ran the dyno, then went for a “picnic” with friends...how did the oil get that black?? Lyndon?🙃

Lyndon Poskitt I’ve never seen one for sale, or in person here! I’ve debated doing a 690E replica myself, or might cave for the new 790 adventure.... 460lbs is a bit hefty though. First world problems. . .
