- This is the first episode of a series of videos that will be edited and released in relation to Lyndon's Dakar 2018. A couple of episodes explaining the preparation before leaving the UK and the remainder will be filmed in South America and released daily. Let us know what you think or if theres anything specific you would like to see in the comments. Thanks for watching.
Four years later and this is still interesting to watch Lyndon. Watched Dakar for years on Eurosport and this years coverage was the best ever. Stay safe.
Unbelievable skills in the workshop. To be that competent at taking your bike apart and rebuilding must give you a sense of confidence that the rest of us can only dream of. So impressive to watch. I was in awe!
These videos are inspiration and informative. I have been aware of Dakar for decades, but this detailed view of what it takes to get there and get through it is brilliant. Can't say enough of how impressive Lyndon is as a person and an engineer. How he takes a bike completely apart and rebuilds it, is bananas to me. I do however, think calling this bike Rex is a bit of a stretch. Besides the frame of old Rex, I think only the frame and rims are original. WOW!!!
Good luck and best wishes, Lyndon! You are the complete package - rider, mechanic, navigator, cameraman, narrator, .... Have been watching all the R2P episodes and extra segments like Dakar. Simply amazing talent, dedication and humility. Tailwinds!
What an impressive human being. Lyndon, you are an inspiration. Good luck.
Lyndon great Work. We’ll be following you from COLOMBIA, South America. Best Of luck.
There will be a lot of us with this Dakar-sickness following you, living this dream through the malle-moto odyssey... Thank you and good luck, Lyndon!
Brilliant Lyndon.

Loving it. Lyndon is one of the most enjoyable and fascinating parts of following the Dakar. Long may he continue as a Dakar media star
Good luck, Lyndon. Thank you for doing it. It means a lot. Wish you and Rex come to finish safe and sound with the medal.
You really motivates many off-road riders, including us here in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, Wish to have more info technically and physical preparation of the bike. This will help us to join the local rallye here..Thanks Lyndon for the new angle of showing life in Dakkar.. Take care and wishing you more riding and podium in your races..Good luck.
Good luck Lyndon. Looking forward to following you in this years Dakar. Brilliant job with the documentary so far.
Lyndon you're incredible, enjoy everything you've produced, and inspired by your riding style.
I've known who Lyndon was for a long time, but I haven't watched his R2P series on RUclips- looking forward to spending many hours in front of the computer this upcoming norwegian winter. Can't wait for next riding season!

Fantastic Lyndon that you’ll do the Dakar again and that you’re giving us an inside view what it’s like to do the Dakar. Never seen that before, so looking forward to it. Good luck!!!
All the best Lyndon and Rex at the Dakar!!! Looking forward to your videos. You are a motivation!
Riding the event, filming it, AND editing a clip together every day is a monster task ahead. My hat is off to you. I've tried doing just that on a normal ride and it more often than not didn't happen at the end of the day.
Really looking forward to the coverage. Never been wholly impressed with what Dakar coverage we get in the states and I think this could be the answer!
Great start guys, I will be following every episode! Good luck Lyndon and team, top step of the podium this year!

Thanks for showing all prep work. Your right, you give us a new picture of Dakar. Why dig you put the rear axle nut on the wrong side? some installation trick or just mistake? som secs later it was switched to the correct side 😊

What a beautiful bike. Wish I had two arms.
God luck Lindon m8 hope you have a good one I'm so gutted I'm not there but funds not in place for Dakar this year I'm doing Baja this year 500 and the 1000 maybe see you there again anyway take care m8 top step this year fingers crossed just keep the rubber on the ground and run your race
I have a a genuine question. You’ve basically built a new bike. Would it of been easier just to buy a new ktm 450? I know u said that ktm didn’t release a new one this year but it seems like you could still find a new 2017 one. This was very interesting to watch!
This is so addictive. Reply all the way!!
Would pay more than too much for that steel Motorex box, hahaha. So sweet. Harder to get Motorex gear in US.
Awesome dude🤘😎🤘but I like my KTM with some ORANGE!
big flex with the all carbon drain pan
Gold luck, enjoy the Dakar !
Good luck Lyndon!!!
Great Work Lyndon!
Could you share the brand and model of the Front fork covers? Looks great! Congratulations for your second dakar!
LOVE the Intro MUSIC ....
Literally cannot wait to see this amazing insight unfold.
As far as the man flu is concerned, gargle some neat TCP and fill up of Vitamin C and you'll be just fine.
Good luck from🇿🇦🏁🏁🏁
baby come back song is from
+Lyndon Poskitt Racing, How come you guys are using Michelin Tires in this Series ? (actually you didn't say which ones they were )
After the glowing appraisal I have seen you give on your other videos for the Golden Tyre 723's , you commented on their superiority for on and especially off road grip, and also mentioned their long lasting tire tread life when compared to other tires which you have used (which I am sure are many) .
.., so this time around - I am confused why this time you are using Michelins .., is the reason perhaps because the Michelins are more off road race oriented than the 723's , or perhaps because of sponsorship commitments this time ?
Beautiful, the only info missing is just how much $ goes into maintaining, repairing and modding the ktm, if honest we must be talkin' about 6 figures at least ... so how about you share the grand total Lyndon ? Otherwise, wish you health and good luck !
