I play this most wonderful sonata at least 4000 times since age 8 to now 73 and never get tired of it !

Joyous performance!! Innately cheerful and uplifting, this delightful Sonata's energetic first movement contrasts with the melodious and touching Adagio. The upbeat Finale Allegro is played with precision and a quick, delicate touch! It takes a dramatic, brief detour and. . . finishes with a flourish! The dexterity, and dynamic finesse, required to bring Haydn's musical ideas to life, is immense. Riefling and Rosen demonstrate a mastery of the keyboard, and musicianship, beautiful to behold.

@@cock-asianscamservicegamin3012 it isn’t, but Robert Reifling is without a doubt, talent. And it takes an immense amount of effort to make it musical, you would know that if you’ve played it

Doesn't this insouciant allegro sound just right?! This recording is new to me, and I'm enjoying it immensely. Thanks.

"insouciant" is descriptive. Flirty, sassy, tongue-in-cheek. Playful taunt? Are we alike in our definition? Great word!

Often played . . . always liked. Of course mine sounded a bit
different from Robert Riefling's perfect rendition ;o) Thanks!
