Sorry about the wonky audio once again! This was filmed before we switched everything over to a new setup.
We've already edited several episodes of season 4 of Fix or Flop! More to come! Thanks for the support.
Possibly Low Voltage DIMMs. Some boards can not run them.
Might be worth picking up a motherboard speaker, nearly every mobo have the pinouts for them and at least could point you in the direction of issues to start troubleshooting these fix or flops that wont post.
@@FRAC7UR3 Came here to say the same, probably could have saved some of the guessing just by connecting a cheap speaker from an older PC.
Apart from that it was a great and instructive video as usual.
I just want to say be careful with the Hyper 212 CPU cooler. The design is really shitty and the nuts don't always stay in place so when threading can turn and dig into the PCB. I accidentally killed an old motherboard years ago doing nothing more than replacing my thermal paste.
he mounted the cpu fan wrong so he went ahead and added a top fan to the aio water pump cooling header to give it a real tinnyness to how cheap his builds.
Happy to see we got another season. I love to watch these.
Much appreciated!
Fix or Flop for life, that's for sure.
Me too
Was waiting for the next(this) FnF episode!
@@GregSalazar yes these are the best videos to exist on youtube
The long awaited comeback of fix or flop, thanks Greg!
best series pls don't ever stop this!
Glad it was a simple fix. Surprised you didnt decide to remove the cooler and redo the thermal paste since the 1 screw was already loose.
Indeed i would have checked if there even is any.
While I do agree. Cpu temps may have been reporting cool in the BIOS. If paste was bad or none at all as suggested above, Im sure alarm bells would be ringing
@@AusDaniel still if the cooler has been loose like that and its been used the paste will be bad.
@@j.p.h.8126 Or dust may have gotten its way into the paste/cooler in the time it was inoperable.
@@j.p.h.8126you can feel it when it turns. There’s resistance with paste, without it’s just a metal on metal feeling with barely any resistance.
This is by far and away my favourite series on youtube right now, been watching old ones waiting for this!!
The CPU cooler mounting bracket on the back of the motherboard is mounted backwards. The anti shorting/protective film is facing the side panel and not the motherboard. Keep up the great work Greg!
Series is so underrated. it gave me the confidence to do my own build. Every video I learn something new and store it in the back of my mind for if my pc or a friends pc ever has problems.
Season 4, let’s goo!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Great to see a new season of fix or flop, love watching these videos keep up the great work.
Greg, your channel is honestly one of the best I’ve found in a long time.
I appreciate the methodology and troubleshooting steps you take to try and solve the issues with these computers. I’ve even learned a thing or two as I’m a hardware tech.
Thanks for all you do!
Omg. How many times I have forgotten to plug in the video cable and thought something was wrong. Love the videos. Thank you for all the great content.
Man I missed these more than you know. Needed this today as my head is in a billion different places.
Thanks Greg
I always learn something with these vids. Seriously, Thank You Greg.
My actual knee jerk reaction to seeing a new Fix or Flop video: “YES! *immediately taps video*”
Hahah that means so much! So glad you enjoy them.
Gregs's fluctuating hair is a great time capsule. :)
Bahahah yeah and it would help if it didn't grow so dang fast!
Yay another Fix or Flop! Much love from the UK.
Thanks Greg. Glad you are continuing this series.
Very nice! i like watching these sometimes when im too bored. its intresting how easy but also hard it is to repair these.
Greg gets an automatic like, every time. Seems like a hella good dude and as a fellow Floridian I gotta support
just finished s3e20, what a good timing for a new upload
Love watching these videos, I watched tons of them around a year ago and then your channel slipped my mind and after I found you again I made sure to subscribe!
Super fun to watch and helpful for whenever I run into these issues with future builds or when I’m trying to help people in my area.
I'm happy to see a new season of Fix or Flop. These are my favorite of your videos.
I've learned the hard way to not purchase RAM used. There isn't enough of a savings to make it worth my while, and I've wasted countless hours troubleshooting bad RAM that has no warranty.
Glad to see FoF back. One thought I had was since the CPU cooler was already loose, it might have been prudent to remove the cooler and check the condition of the thermal paste, if any at all.
I just finished season 3 and was wondering if there would be a season 4. I love this series so much!
Happy to see another season in progress. Got up to date a couple of weeks or so ago, glad I did. I had a problem with my new build and this series got me to a fix very quickly. Thanks Greg.
my fav season is back thanks Greg again
"I think thats our problem" Greg says 7 minutes in, on a 15 minute video. Oh boy.
No curveballs. What a surprise
I especially love the troubleshooting portion of these Fix Videos.
Its been month since your season finale and you did other type of video. I really thought you somewhat ended this series already. I'm so glad it is back. This Series is really helpful for me and other to troubleshoot our problem. Thank you Greg
I'm so happy you didn't keep the old intro. Sure it's nice for new viewers to hear the full description of what this series is, but after the 50-60th time, I could basically quote you word for word. lol
My favorite series on RUclips!! Thanks for a new season!!
Slammin` 🦈
Greg helps people out & we get entertainment & knowledge. Been out of the tech scene for about a decade just maintain my own & family jazz now. But I started when Windows 3.1 was still a thing. These videos help me feel like I'm still in the 'loop'. Cheers.
Michigan here.. another great fix or flop video.. always amazing how bad memory or non compatible memory can crash a pc in so many ways.
That was an interesting one. Thanks for the great content and yay, the beginning of a new season!
I enjoy this series simply for the knowledge it helps put out for new builders with not the latest hardware trying to find a current solution to their problems.
hell yeah season 4 lets go! GS been cranking out the content much love!
Greg, you made my day. Great work! I love this Fix or Flop videos so much. You´re just so good to explain every step you do, so that everyone can follow you along the whole troublshoot proces. Keep up the good work. Can´t await the next episode.
great to see Fix or Flop back and looking forward to the Deep Clean series returning too.
Woo! A new season of fix or flop. Always a treat when a new one is uploaded
Your recent videos have motivated me to visit my closest Micro Center(Chicago). I left paying over 1000 dollars. I did two 3 in 1 bundles and got some other stuff. I SUPER happy with the prices!! Thanks for showing me the way!
What did you get? I'm curious
These are nice to watch, nice job on the tech support on the discord. That can help a wider range of people.
Thank you for the videos. Appreciate the clear and concise information, and the Yu-Gi-Oh cards in the background (the Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon often amused me).
Happy this series is back! Thanks for all the videos.
Glad we have a new season up, love this series 👌
yay!! a new season of fix or flop i was waiting for this!
Love the series. Glad its back.
I love how under every single episode NOBODY tells anyone in the comments what the actual issue was , it makes this so much more interesting and make you watch the whole video to figure it out
Absolutely a great video! I like this series a lot. I believe you to be the most real "Tuber" on the net. Thanks for this
Yay! This is the good stuff I want most. Starting out on the right foot, too, with a fix.
Love watching you troubleshoot and diagnosis issues...fun to watch, keep it going Greg
this pc represents what most of our PCs look like. glad you could get it going again.
I can't wait for the next video they are all great so far and I have been watching for quite a while!
I really appreciate this series, it helps give me a insight into more potential problems than I'd likely think of without these. Thank you.
Oh Greg after so long! Thank you for bringing it back. I enjoy this series more than any OTT contents.
Perfect timing, binged all the other seasons. Thanks Greg for the return!
Your quickly becoming a daily must watch Greg. Between this and the Microcenter upgrades vids. It's awesome!
when you said : i bet this gonna work right away, i felt the pressure and the fear from you for a brief second and the relief that when the gpu posted gave you, you got anxious for those moment, and i would have been too even more :)
Fix or Frop is back, yay! This one had a strange ending---wasn't expecting to see defective memory
Fix or Frop sounds intimidating
@@ToxicNoxic Nah, there's just some Japanese in there....
Do you stresstest or benchmark the PC's before sending them back out? Would be interesting to see more of a 'payoff' at the end of the episodes.
Either way always love these episodes. Keep fighting the good fight!
A great way to end the day, a new Fix or Flop episode!
Loves these videos. Watched everyone. Keep them coming, so helpful!
So glad fix or flop is back Greg
Out here doing God's work! Good on ya! Excellent series.
found your channel on accident hooked finally caught up watching all vids enjoying them so much shame your not in the uk i learn small things from you great work!!!
This is the best series on youtube. Also I like wristwatch revival.
I've been waiting impatiently for season 4 and it's finally here (: thank you Greg
Nice, happy to see another season!
best series on channel, I'm watching every single episode
Been waiting for this sir Greg! Excited to watch this!
Great to see this epic series back :)
Always enjoy seeing the process. 🤘🤘
Good stuff Maynard, I have learned a lot from your videos over the years Thank You !
thanks for the new season learning a lot
Great start to the season!
The great series continues. Thanks Greg!
Absolutly love this series! Please continue it for many more seasons!! < 3
Great job, keep the good vibes and thanks 4 content Greg.
Yeeeh, Greg is BACK!!!🤗 With Fix or Flop Season 4!! 😉👌🤟👍!
I'd think that if the CPU cooler wasn't screwed in all the way and was so loose, that would have caused some real issues down the road with cooling. Thanks for making these videos for us 😋
Great tip about the graphics output, I will definitely remember that one.
I love watching this process. The memory must not be compatible for some reason, I would not think both would be bad. I built my first server and had so much more confidence in selecting components it booted right after it was completed and now I have a 120 Tb unraid server which will replace my 4-bay and 2-bay TerraMasters. Great video.
Good job fixing that lucky viewer PC! nice upgrade to the rig, dominators are always a beaut in any build ...
Was patient and Greg delivered that 🔥 again!
Hey King of Fix or Flop, great to have the series back. Always a pleasure to see PC's brought back to life rather than go to E-waste. Look forward to many more
Watched all 3 seasons 👍 keep it up
FINALLY.......This series is back
Nice job! My gut feeling was the ram as well (its happened to me before). You do great great work and a great service.
It demonstrates just how useful even having the basic debug lights are, you'd get the DRAM light on and know straight away to check the memory.
Absolute love watching these super entertaining
So educational and entertaining too thanks Greg
I love the fix or flop videos! Great content, Greg! You're doing God's work. 😀
Best YT series on the planet!!
The thumbnail had me thinking it would NOT be fixed :)
Nice diagnosis, super easy fix!
I've seen RAM cause any and every problem in a computer. Good job (as usual) Greg!
When you said it power up but no post, first thing i could think of is dead GPU i had that problem with my first pc everything turns on even Radeon gpu fan spinning but No post. Glad its only ram this time and multiple parts. Geart job once again!!
I love this series. i've learnt so much
u know its a good day when greg puts out a fix or flop :)))))
Glad to see fix or flop again
