One of the best channels to watch. Super efficient clever guys. 👷♂️👍
Just sitting at my desk, wishing I was your helper on the sheathing!
Sidewalk demo , set up curbs , pour concrete 🤙🏽
On Barn conversion in Bedford Uk framed with 12 inch JJI’s, love your work my dude
Loving that Chistmas intro, Matt! 👍
I'm a handyman and really enjoys your videos !! Keep up the good work !
Nice build great work
Is that a Dr Pepper in your pants or are you happy to see me.... LOL Nice Job
Pick up as well lots of pick up as it's a big building.. fire extinguisher openings.. posts.. correcting the framers mistakes ..lots of units but staying busy love ur channel
Extremly love your videos plus for framing I prefer a waffle head over smooth
no more drinks in the pocket, lesson learned.
Make sure you show how you layout the trusses incorporating the lookouts if applicable...great work so far, love your work ethic.
I JUST got trusses dropped! Definitely showing it all, this roof is crazy.
Someone might mistake this place for a post frame lol can’t wait to see footage of the roof going up on this. Awesome work brotha
Do you guys use mainly Syp?
The trusses got dropped off today! Photos will be up on my Patreon at www.patreon.com/mattbangswood
They're HUGE... 32' span, 2/12 bottom chord scissor trusses, 4-ply girders, tons of fill trusses.. This roof will be one of the more complex we do.
Keep these videos coming!!!! So great!!!
Enjoying the channel. Cut hub not worth it to many zeros. Made something similar 1/2 the cost and all the fun!!!
Sweet channel. Keep up the great work
Thanks for watching! 😊
The RUclips channel RR Buildings uses chains to brace tall walls.
In last video you said it was 90 drive to and from the winery, do you put travel for all of you in your pricing of jobs? Great series as always. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great work. What is your guess on the number of nails you guys put into that white sheeting? I have no carpenter experience, but I truly enjoy watching how guys do it. I don't miss an episode. Please keep me watching.
18,960 nails in total? That calc’s out about right.
120 per sheet on 6/12
Grinch vibes in the intro. Haha love it. 👍
Righttt?! I love it! Fiverr doesn't disappoint.
Hi Matt. Hope you had a lot of Turkey!! Now, back to work. Oh what fun!! Enjoy the day. Ray L
Kobeeee 🤘🏼
How's that cordless Skilsaw working out/holding up?
Framing/finishing a basement today.
How do you like the cordless skil saw? Is the battery too big?
Another bang up job Matt,Great work! Question, what's your take on letting rain fall on framed walls, decking, etc? Do u cover or no big deal. U ever worry about termites flying around and getting into your new dougfir? In OC, late summer they come in swarms
We stored all of our sheathing away inside while the rain was here! Everything else is fine outside for a bit, although I like to see it dried in as quick as possible!
The universe thought you were a little too proud of yourself for that Kobe shot, so it decided to take you down a notch with that Dr Pepper 😂😂
Now call it doctor pekar
Bro I love your videos . I'll be entering for 12 days of Christmas also keep up the hella good work brother
Love the video what gun do you use just wondering?
NR83A2 for rough framing, NR83A5 for shear and roof nailing.
Do you have any preference about the brand and model number of a new framing air gun? I've been looking at Metabo but I'm not married to it. My last gun lasted me since 1990. I dropped it again onto concrete from 16 feet. Now it doesn't work too good. Thanks for your time, I really like the videos.
One brace up and one top to top so scissors can be used
if youre framing a house and you are first putting up the sill plate. do you pull that sill plate the width of the sheathing back on the foundation or do you hold it flush with the foundation to make the sheathing is sticking off the foundation the width of the ? does that make a building thats lets say 20 ft by 20 ft become (assuming the sheathing is 1/2 inch) become 20 ft and 1 inch by 20 ft by 1 inch? love the vids
Depends on the builder. Some want sheathing flush with concrete..
In that case, the concrete crew should account for it.. Making a 20’ slab, 20’1” overall.
We JUST started a build where they didn’t take it into consideration, so they’re losing 1” all around. Not that big of a deal though.
Hahaha that was to funny. Dr. Pecker........
When you add the sheathing, do you always line the seams up like in the Day 10 video or do you sometimes stagger them? I'm guessing this is expensive stuff and want to cut down as much waste as possible, just curious. Love your videos, bang on!
We don’t stagger, but check call out on plans. It’s different everywhere.
Swimming pools
Does it matter which way you run sheathing? Im watching for entertainment and just wondered if you run it horizontal would it matter? Cheers
👍👍👍!
Yah, sure it was a Dr. Pepper LOL
I swear, it was! 😆
Whatever happened to the new laborer you guys were going to hire? And to quinten being trained ass a carpenter ? Good vids man im also a farmer but all commercial buildings
Q decided it wasn’t for him, so he’s sticking to laborer position. This build was enough to make it or break it for some people..
New laborer quit on day 2, wasn’t for him either.
@@MattBangsWood good laborers are soooo hard to come by man !!! keep up the great work guys !!! looking forward to new merchandise
MattBangsWood what happened to mota?
Is the PLS green laser the best/brightest U can buy ? So u can use outdoors
god chanel god videos exelentt jjjob..,,...,gretings from argentina..,,,.,.,
What's the span for for trusses
32'! They got dropped off today, super excited!
What’s the weight of each truss?
I’ve heard of “pick up framing”
Don’t know exactly what it is?
Hay Matt it’s mad max I am doing a food 🥘 cubed for charity and if I get time some kids toys 🧸 and I am finishing a picnic 🧺 table for sum and cap kids for ther coffee ☕️ shop good job 👏 wot you are doing sweet 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎😎😎👌👌👌👌👌👌🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
So awesome! Giving back is such a good thing, I wish more people were like you! :)
Who is Panella?
Just a last name.
Any reason why you don’t stagger the shear panels?
On this build, all sheets break on 3x8. If we were to stagger, we’d have every other stud as a 3x8.
Also call out on plans.
@@MattBangsWood Thanks. I knew you had a reason.
1:30 was that you or quinten, i can’t tell with that voice crack. Lol jk
😂😂😂
Way to ruin a perfect Dr Pepper
Framer *
Demonetization sucks 😮☹️
just the fact they take it down though. you can't even work while listening to the radio if you film it and let people watch it, lol. wtf
