It amazes me you can locate these classics. Back here on the west coast, classics are no where to be found. And if they are prices are through the roof.
Those car being out of the weather. Made them pretty easy starts. The extras. We’re good I’m going to watch you for awhile and see if I enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing! 💯👊👍
I once owned a 59 white star chief & a new gold 78 trans am with a big spread eagle on the hood. Thanks for being a fellow admirer of vintage Pontiacs & for bringing these comatose cars back to life. It’s obvious you’re an excellent mechanic. Do you plan to advertise your cars at a website? If you’ll give me the web address I’ll pass it along to my friends. -All the Best from Stephen in Texas
I watch other car channels (spend too much time), but luv me a Pontiac. First car: '65 GTO convertible, 389, 4-speed, baby blue interior and exterior. Had it for two years and engine blew. Had to sell it. Third car: '73 Grand Am, Yellow Bird. Had for 20 years before it hopelessly rusted out. Fourth car: '76 Trans Am. Piece of junk. Everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - went bad on that thing before it came close to 50k miles. Dream car: '64 GTO convertible, 389, 4-speed, all stock. Dwell setting: There used to be a special tool with an Allen head, flexible shaft (part or full) and screwdriver style handle that is really handy and makes it so much easier. And reduces the chance of "coil shock." As for Atlas, I think that was a house brand for Standard Oil maintenance parts their gas stations installed back in that era. Before it was renamed Exxon in 1973 and the service stations that did repair work were replaced by mini-marts.
@@ChiefClassics I really do like the you are a standalone Pontiac channel very good memories of 60s Pontiacs so if you do Chrysler Oldsmobile etcetera in the future I would like a separate channel obviously I would subscribe
I have a 66 grand prix and im trying to find the fuel filter. I checked from front to back but cant locate it. Any advice would be very much appreciated
I think your channel would do better by eliminating cussing including G darn. Vice grip garage keeps it family friendly. Some parents immediately ban their kids from watching if they hear swearing. Up to you.

You have great taste Stephen! I also have a gold 78 Trans Am in the fleet. I'll eventually have a website, but don't yet. Those 59s are beautiful! The one I revived on one of my videos is definitely a favorite.
Thanks for Saving the Old Girl, she deserves another brake. 66 Pontiac is my favorite, love the Dash layout.
I do too! Pontiac knew what they were doing with interior!
Great job saving the Grand Prix. She's running sweet.
She's a runner! It's a fun car

Ive watched this video 3 times. Thoroughly entertaining Jeff.
Hey man Mortske brought me here. I’m a Pontiac man and absolutely love your videos. Cant wait to see more in the future.
Thank ya much! I have a lot more to upload
I love the blue 1965 next to it.
I had a 66 Pontiac Grand Prix. Back in 1982.KG from Prescott AZ.
Miss my ole GP.
Best car I ever owned.
I shouldn't have stopped bidding on that car.
It turned out better than I expected! We ended up buying 7 cars from that estate. I'll have videos up on most of them
love the vid. really easy to watch, and really good commentary. thank you for sharing!
Thank you, that means a lot!
Atlas products were from Standard Oil
I appreciate it! I haven't seen many of them
My 64 and 66 Bonneville's with 389 carter 4bbl always started right up even in coldest weather.
So long as they're getting fuel, they seem to fire up well!
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. Am 71 and have not seen to many of those vehicles around ! Am playing catch up on your videos ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍

I appreciate it! He's a great guy. I have a lot more videos to upload!
Really great explanation of dwell and carb adjustment. Would love to see you do a blurb on timing as well as carb rebuilding. Great videos!!

Take a box wrench and tap that starter casing. After thirty some years of sitting some things need a gentle tap or two. Just a suggestion. Good luck.
I hear the train I grew up with the same thing so cool

Great video. !
I appreciate it!
@@ChiefClassics That's my favorite year GP
Is there a clutch bell crank bracket still on the frame? A manual shift GP would be pretty interesting
Nope it was all cut off sadly. The 67 GP in my profile picture is a manual 428HO. It gets down!
I discovered thru multiple Pontiacs. The carbs were a hassle. Cold or hot weather same issue. Difficult start.
Greetings from Omaha. Where are you at?
Where ats in Nebraska are you located?
East of Fremont
Is that a Turbo400? Switch pitch?
I have a 66 grand prix and im trying to find the fuel filter. I checked from front to back but cant locate it. Any advice would be very much appreciated
How much for the 66 G P it looks good next to my 66 GTO
If you come across any 64's Bonneville, Catalina, grand prix, star chief let me know .
I have two 64 Catalina 2 door hardtops in inventory. I'll have a video up on one of them soon
It’s only running on seven cause your wire is still hanging over the rad hose.

G'day mate joined you after watching the mortske video thought would come check it out ...sweet as so far ...all the best mate 👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank you much! Old Mortske and Chin saved my ass that day!
My first car was a 1965 gran prix
Those have the best looking dashboards I've ever seen. Love those cars!
@@ChiefClassics Yes, love that walnut veneer. On a Pontiac!
