I always dreamt of doing that as a kid, I used to see the Ellen show let people do it. I would've gone right for the ICONS sets and taken them all of the shelves haha. Duplicates? No problem haha
@@ΩΜΣΔ Before, after, and during almost all major American and international holidays. Black Friday (the Friday after Thanksgiving [4th Thursday of November]; in-store deals for most- if not all- retailers), Cyber Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving; huge deals on most online retailers), and Christmas/New Year’s Eve time period usually have the biggest deals of the year here, unless I’m missing or forgetting something. During the upcoming summer season, the most common sales periods in the States are Father’s Day and Independence Day on 7/4. Of course there are random sales for various other things here and there throughout the year, but these are some of the days every year where companies most likely have sales here.
A very important part of traveling to New York is flying to Newark and wondering why they sound similar. I had the same issue growing up and Newark is my closest international airport.
When Lego had their flagship store (i was a regular) across for the Rockefeller roller skating rink, I saw so many tourists loading up on lego. Overheard many say that the regular retail prices in the states were way better than where they were from.
0:38, that is a fascinating list of priorities. Definitely not what I would have picked as a local 😅. If I ever go to Portugal, what are the top things YOU recommend?
Man, that 60 second Lego Store sweep would be just about any Lego fan's dream. I would immediately focus on getting the modulars and the Rivendell Set and luckily they are all right in the same place. XD
Walmart always has a clearance aisle. That's where I usually find Lego deals. Also, some Walmarts have more Lego clearance than others. We have 3 Walmarts in our area and there is one that will sometimes have large sets marked down 50 percent. The one closest to me had almost everything in the whole Lego aisle on clearance once. I missed the best stuff but I still grabbed a couple things. So it's really hit or miss.
Honestly, Legoland California is so much bigger than Legoland New York. It has two hotels, an aquarium, two waterparks, and a truly enormous park! I'd recommend visiting the West Coast next time you travel to America.
What a trip , how lovely that you got invited over to America , so cool and I’m so very jealous , not of the trip of course but the fact that you got to experience those M & M’s 😂. Very well edited vlog, your videos are such a joy to watch.
I'm American going in my dream trip to Paris after 6 years of saving and over a year of planning. I'm going to the Lego store there! When it's a sight you want to see, it's important! And I just found out about Lego passports yesterday, so I'm excited to get that stamped too!
Great vid! I can completely follow your steps as a fellow european who went to NYC for the first time! So many similarities... Keep on making great videos man!
As an American, i really enjoyed this video, awesome job! You should do more videos in this vlog style That guy with the 60 second run is so lucky The fifth avenue store is awesome!
As a Polish guy living in the US now... yeah, the Walmarts are the most underwhelming thing and even annoying too :) Targets are decent though. The LEGO discount stuff - those are fairy tales!
I am extremely late to this video and this won’t get noticed, but this is the funniest video Tiago has ever made that I’ve seen. Watching your reaction to losing was hilarious, albeit sad. And your sheer disappointment in Walmart made me laugh out loud.
Aw Tiago! You should of seen the one Concorde they have on New York harbour! Especially since a Lego set based on that plane is rumoured to be out this September. Glad you had a good trip nonetheless
Try freezing the peanut butter M&Ms. Also I'm not sure if you've had them, but they make a dark chocolate peanut M&M. The package is half yellow half purple. Truly sublime.
Very cool experience! I'm glad you had a great time and got to try some new things. If you liked America, you'll love Canada haha! Hope you make it back soon for a LEGO Convention!
In addition to yard sale, next time you visit, buy some Lego off craigslist in NYC ^_^. It can be fun and you might meet some random Lego enthusiasts.
This is such a good video! Really funny. Good job Tiago! Im going to america too and ive made a list of things to do too! what a coincidence. Am also gonna try feastables, funny how we made similar lists.
I didn’t even realize there was a third Legoland in the US. I thought it was just California and Florida. Just like you have both Disney and Universal in those states as well. Middle of nowhere in New York state makes no sense to me!
I did not know that the Peanut Butter M&Ms were only in America but they are amazing. And they taste good cold too. Also some Walmart and Targets have clearance aisles and that’s where some Lego deals are. At Target, I got the Lego Art Project for $70.
I live in Oregon and it's "funny" how the Wal-mart LEGO aisle looks EXACTLY the same in both places. Also. underwhelming. I was hoping to see the LEGO behind glass. They are here.
IME, other than particular holiday sale periods , Lego discounts in the US are unpredictable and mostly online, not in stores. And much less common and less significant than the discounts I routinely hear about from European retailers. So I’m not surprised you didn’t find much.
Wow that sounded very cool and I am also extremely jealous of that guy who got the LEGO store run, I would have gotten every ucs set, every modular, just everything I could see 😂
The largest Walmart in the US is right near the Legoland park, just a few minutes away in Albany NY. If that’s not the place you went I recommend it lol
I am so jealous of the guy who got the 60 second run through the lego store.
RIGHT?!
Why didn’t he take the castle just next to Rivendell!
I’d give myself a heart attack frantically running around
I always dreamt of doing that as a kid, I used to see the Ellen show let people do it.
I would've gone right for the ICONS sets and taken them all of the shelves haha. Duplicates? No problem haha
I didn't I was already in America.
I love how Tiago came to the States during one of our long periods where nothing is 20% off anywhere..
Gotta plan better I guess
by curiosity what periods would be the ones with 20% off?

As a non-North American I can confirm this is this true American LEGO experience
Non-north american ? You cant say anything 😂
Yea, he didn’t even go to McDonald’s
As an American this is pretty much every key event in our day

A Tiago vlog yesss! It was so fun getting to hang out 🥳 come back to America again soon!! You still need to try Chik-Fil-A
Ahah for sure!! Let’s meet again sometime!

Eat a francesinha
Go to Porto
Go to Guimarães
Go to a traditional restaraunt
I'm loving how your channel is evolving.
Hope the RUclips algorithm does too! 🫠
That looked like a really fun trip!
It was!! I'm so grateful!
Man, that 60 second Lego Store sweep would be just about any Lego fan's dream. I would immediately focus on getting the modulars and the Rivendell Set and luckily they are all right in the same place. XD
For me: Rivendell, The Knights' Castle, the Grand Piano, Disney Castle, a bunch of Harry Potter sets, several Classic and Creator sets.
😂Love the hotel review. 💖This is hilarious. Hope you had a great time.
I had the best of times! :)
This just proves we need more Tiago vlogs 🔥
I'd love to see more vlogs on your channel!!
This video is all over the place, and I love it. More Tiago travels videos, please 😂
Wait... you're trying to tell me that the Statue of Liberty has a face, it's not just a sand green plate? Never.

I saw in Walmart Lego Classic 10696 $50... As usual it is 27$...

I'd recommend visiting the Legoland in Florida next time you travel to America. So sunny than NY...
It’s also much more expensive to travel to from Europe 🇪🇺
@@kiranaifu Maybe, but it's worth it.
I’ve never seen someone so exited to be at Walmart.

I have really good vivid memories involving travelators as a kid so you're certainly not the only one who loves them:D
Honestly, seeing such a relatively calm guy, loosing it in Lego Land is the funniest thing I have seen in a long while
Egy magyar. :D
I hope you do more videos like these. They're really funny 🤣
Did you flash your LEGO passport at the immigration officer and say you are a LEGO brand ambassador? I think this works.
Almost wanted to :P
Tiago vlogging? I’m here for it
Love this video and channel. Hoping you do more tutorials though, they are so relaxing and your creativity with lego is jsut amazing.
Congrats on the trip! Great video!
I feel like today was a crossover episode of my favorite lego RUclipsrs! Tiago, duckbricks, Emma, etc. What a treat for us fans
3:54 Out of all those creators I only recognize Ryan and Haley Trahan😶
Love your channel Tiago!
5:04 No way! Ryan went to the Lego 2k Drive Community Day Creator Edition Event!!
Awesome video btw :)
Looks like a great trip! You definitely need to come back and go to Chick-fil-a. Maybe come for a LEGO convention in the future?
That 'Flash' moment was accurately described.
Right?! If you walk fast enough you even feel the wind blowing past your face, it's amazing!
As a Polish guy living in the US now... yeah, the Walmarts are the most underwhelming thing and even annoying too :) Targets are decent though. The LEGO discount stuff - those are fairy tales!
If you return to america you should really go to brickworld chicago or brickfair virginia or some exhibition like that.
Plan on doing that! Maybe next year!
Ohhh a mention of my job! CHICK FIL A!!!
Gotta go back to try it out!
@@TiagoCatarino you definitely have to
I love how Tiago’s channel isn’t all about lego reviews as like the latest videos aren’t even lego videos!
There's always SOME LEGO in them :P But thanks!

Yes, got to try the Chick-fil-A.
Really great video! Gonna rewatch it for fun! And to scream at the guy to take the castle just next to Rivendell!
Underwhelming Walmarts, the _true_ American Dream 😂
The b3 you are the best!! I’m really excited for your Disney 100 build!!
Its literally perfect
Enjoyed the video. Funny. Well edited. Just plain fun. Looks like you had a good time in America. Saw the Emmasaurus blog too. Fun times.

Awesome video Tiago - from Seattle. Walmart sales are great but generally after holidays or on Black Friday.
Its so funny to see him experience simple things like going to walmart lol
Editing in this is fantastic! xD
Wow, this video was really entertaining, you should make more vlogs like this one.
If you ever come back to New York, then you MUST go to the LEGO Store Flatiron District.
It was so stupid of me to have missed it...

Wow the first European RUclipsr who didnt immediately sprint to the gun range after getting off the plane

Tiago, peanutbutter m&ms are the BEST m&ms, possibly the best candy! Glad you had a fun 1st visit to USA!
0:41 Cracks me up so much lmao
cool!
Love it how you hang out with the only other people who are into lego that i recognise. I guess it was a gaming event first?

Really good video, I’m proud of you Tiago 👍👏
Don't worry about the second Lego store, the one you visited is the better one anyway. I also visited NYC a couple of months ago.

Love the Walmart disappointment. 😂 We do have deals but it's not that easy to come by and you have to compete against resellers.
Cool video Tiago 👏
I never been to America as well
Love you tiago

When you said peanut butter M&Ms I cackled a little lol. But yeah that's basically America:)
I’m glad you want to come back 🎉
I love your video about "living your American dream" 😆🤣
Brickworld Chicago to complete your checklist?
