My brother-in-law has this and uses it as the centerpiece in him and my sisters house every Christmas. He even has one of those cool lighting kits and it just brings the entire piece together to a level I never knew I needed in LEGO's until I saw it in person XD.

It's also very clever that you get 24 bags of lego to hype yourself up each day 'til Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, culminating in the yearly re-watch on the evening of Dec 24th
The first two movies were my fav Christmas movies growing up I saw this set and fell in love but there is no way I'll be able to afford it it's so expensive omg. It looks like such a fun build, the details are so cool, and I love the way its a closed building with hinged walls instead of an open back
Yes!! We need more big lego residential houses! We only have 3 official ones so far! (Home alone house, the old big Creator house, and the Simpsons house)
Really cool set. The attention to detail is excellent. The sled not going through the door is actually awesome. That scene always bugs me a little because the staircase does not lineup with the front door. Not sure if the designers did this intentionally, but i am going to believe they did... just because haha
I think that would be a great idea to have more house sets like this to create and grow your own neighborhood or town. The look of this can go great with other modular buildings from the 18+/ideas sets and it also has its own look to be separated from the modular sets as well. Always look forward to new things, happy building!
Yes more modular sets would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!! And this set looks WONDERFUL!! This is a day on buy for my wife and I for sure! Great video as always!
That house is so cute! And you could add extra lego floor pieces to the dining room so the chairs stay up. The bed with the four posts was the most adorable piece of furniture, imo. I like the added tree house too.
That’s really cool! My only wish: that they had found a way to make the train go around an oval pattern (maybe attach it to a chain below the floor?), so that we could get 1x4 tiles printed the same way. That would unlock more possibilities for those tracks.

When i first saw the thumbnail for the video i was thinking it was going to be the open back style building also. Then i thought, well itd probably be simple enough to close it in yourself. But to see Lego did it for you from the start is really awesome. I love the modular buildings they put out and this is basically just a larger size version of that. I could see me putting this into a large Lego city and having this be like the "mayors mansion" or something up on a big hill overlooking the city. Put in some lighting features for the windows at night to match the rest of the city and itd look pretty sweet.
3:13 the alarmclock should read 1200 (not 0021), as that's the time the clock resets to after the electricity went out. Also a funny little easteregg: a stolen faucet in the trunk of the car for the wet bandits
The second I clicked on this video, I immediately stated that this set had better have tons of playability given the nature of the films and I must say, I was NOT disappointed! There were easily at LEAST 3x the details I expected out of this set, and once again LEGO have absolutely knocked it out of the park!!

Man I loved watching the first 2 Home Alones! I'm happy they made a Lego set based on the original movie. Also I'm not over 30 even, I'm 16, and I adored the Movie! And still do today.
Let's just not talk about anything past Home Alone 2...
You’re 16? Man I feel bad for the world you’re living in today.
@@gone.golfing 17 now, but yeah the world's gone to shit.
@@GhostlyPhantome Don’t go to college. It’s a waste of time and money. That’s the best advice I can give.
@@gone.golfing didn't plan on it lol. If anything I'll get a part time and try out other things that wouldn't need a secondary education like college or university.
@@GhostlyPhantome I would do my life all over again after I graduated high school oh so long ago. I just pray for you and the younger generations to follow that you guys will be able to make a living without having to be a doctor or a lawyer.
I just got this from the lego store today. This is my first lego set since I was a kid and I'm now 34. Just finished 6 bags. Can't wait to continue tomorrow
This might be my first attempt at a build. Would be cool to bust out during the holidays for decoration. The details are impeccable
Super bummed that Lego labels the outside of their shipping boxes! I knew right away what my husband got me for Christmas when it showed up. 😭 Side note: that isn’t a cat door, it’s a dog door. 🐶
Yes please LEGO! More modular style houses!
$249 USD :)
Awesome LEGO deal
@@TiagoCatarino YES!
I heard that they used 24 bags so that you could build it like an Advent. Calendar, one bag a day…..but who could do that?!?! Lol
Someone who doesn’t like legos
Great review. As the second movie is so frequently referenced are we going to get a Plaza Hotel set soon with a Donald Trump minifigure?
Probably not given how he was digitally erased from the second film.
Whoops! Yes I know realize the mistake, it didn't make any sense :P
The second I clicked on this video, I immediately stated that this set had better have tons of playability given the nature of the films and I must say, I was NOT disappointed! There were easily at LEAST 3x the details I expected out of this set, and once again LEGO have absolutely knocked it out of the park!!
I don't care how much this costs. Home Alone was my childhood Christmas movie, and still is. This set is as good as mine already.
It is really cool that they added the car and even the tree house. even if you are not fan of the movie, it can be appreciated as a nice christmas house too.
OMG! that is one detailed model! Finally LEGO gets into detailing! I love it! something to save for! Thank You Tiago!
Home alone 1+2 are Such classics' Family Chrismas Movies'/Films' i'm so glad this set was released!
Congrats!! I've been waching a few of your youtube videos in a row and i must confess that i enjoyed doind it. For the kind of information given in particular: accurate, pros and cons, ... It is noticeable that you are a lego master! (Advice: slow down a litle bit your speak)
YES! LEGO Please make houses! And i think best it would be if u would fully customize indoor of the houses, then also some bridges and street building around, and LEGO, making these sets would give to maaany many people a big ability to build fully customized city.
I can't believe Lego didn't chop it up. So happy with this set now knowing it's a complete building. Thanks for an awesome review.
With the table chairs, i simply connect them to the table because like you, they always fall when moved or a little nudge to the house knocks them over.
I would be very interested in more houses. Buildings are my favorite builds.
Watching Home alone and home alone2 is like a tradition for my family we watch both movies every Christmas
Right next to Simpsons house would be perfect
yessss im so excited. Ive been trying to buy it on the site sold out and randomly came across one today at the mall. I snagged it right away. Gonna build with the hubby and watch the movie :)
awesome! This might be the best house Lego has made till date.
Yeah, now that you say it like that, I might agree with you!
I still think the simpsons house is the best this is a close second
@@voreenjoyer309 the lego simpsons house isn't fully accurate. It doesn't have all the rooms and there's not even that one section ontop of the garage. It could have been better.
"If you're over 30 you've probably seen the Home Alone movies during the Christmas seasons at least 38 times"
Man, I'm 19 and I've seen the Home Alone movies during the Christmas seasons at least 38 times
That’s a good replica of the Home Alone house & how it can function like some of the clips on the actual movie. I use to watch the movie constantly, as a kid.
1:08 a gold Sink 😂
They are the wet bandits love this joke in the set
OMG LEGO YES PLEASE!!! I want to build a whole subdivision! Please design some custom houses. Each one with a couple family members. That would be great with all the city Lego sets I have.
I think they should make a side set to this, like the church or store, and include more McCallister family members
Probably can't do the church, since Lego doesn't allow religious themes in their sets
@@TheSleepyWarlord true 🤦♂️ L Lego
This set is amazing, its like the real house with everything it need and also so beautiful and cute i love it from the moment i see it i really want to get it.
A set I never expected to see but there it is! So awesome and so many neat details for those who love the film.
Right?
With 24 Steps it is the ultimate lego calender. Build and enjoy it for the holiday and then back in the box. Add a Santa with sleigh and then Kevin can either save Santa from the bandits or accidenntaly wreck Christmas for the family when Santa ends up in all the traps:)
This is amazing! I love your videos so much!!
I like this new simple black background box really just let's the set pop and show all it has. Nice review too. Maybe I can get a few of these big sets to display in our new home soon
I enjoy the review approach you use compared to most other channels. Highlight whats cool and cover everything fairly quick.
This is honestly a really good set it’s kinda of cool to see a regular house and then just home alone in Lego at all.
Great Video! My favorite part is definitely the train set (4:10) ! and it MOVES!! 🚂🚋🚋🚋
The details were outstanding omg....
This set looks great, but I think the facade could use more holiday lights from the first floor up. They could be added, of course...
Yeah I think you're right
I’m going to buy this as a Christmas decoration piece for the house. The Easter Eggs they’re included are excellent.
ah yes i do love the LEGO Omelone set
Love this set and the nods to the movies it contains! Such a cool little set. I’d love Lego to make more sets like this to make a neighbourhood.
What a gorgeous set! The little gear knobs are such a nice surprise!
