Thank you!! You are a life saver!! I’m at 21.4mpg right now in NY😢 paying about $3.90-$4 at the moment. But fortunately I live close to a BJs and paid $3.47 yesterday! Thanks again bud much appreciated
Thanks for the heads up buddy! I’m in Tampa, FL & have a 2020 XLE Premium RAV4 & I’m averaging 28-29 MPGs city/highway driving. I had a 2011 Kia Sorrento previously that got only 22 MPGs….. so this is a definite upgrade!
Thank you for the info. I have a hybrid and during warmer weather was getting 44 mpg. Since the weather has turned cold (today is Dec 17, 2022) I am now getting 40 mpg, probably because the batteries are very sensitive to temperature. I only hope the mileage goes back up when warmer weather returns. For me, the most valuable part of your presentation was the back button which allows me to access my other screens. I have not yet taken my car in for the service which the system is telling me I need.
So great I could help you out ! I didn’t have time to go back to the dealership after they forgot to turn this off after my oil change. Man wish I had a hybrid! Great gas mileage! And yes colder weather brings it down a lot
We can get around 35 mpg or better on our 2019 RAV4 FWD if we don't do too much driving around town & drive mostly on the highway. Last tankful was 37.0 when I reset during fill-up today.
@@okiefoodieking the best I have ever gotten was 40 mpg. I filled up before getting on the interstate in Va & then drove non-stop on the interstate to Greensboro, NC & filled up there. It is the stopping and starting that kills the mileage on this vehicle. I I lived in town & not in a rural area, I would probably only get in the 20's. I have considered a hybrid for when we replace, but for us I don't know that it would save enough to justify the extra cost.
Could you explain maybe why my 2020 RAV4 at 54k miles has an engine maintenance required notification (throwing the red triangle with exclamation point)? I’ve gone to two shops who scanned and no code is being thrown. We cannot get it to reset. The notification comes up after just a few seconds of clearing it with the back button. They said the error is only on that electronic interface in the center there and not on anywhere on the dash. (I hope I’m making enough sense bc I don’t speak car jargon at all). My question is how to clear the engine maintenance error?
Probably a dumb question, but did you do what I asked for you to do in the video? And also I wonder why Toyota can’t fix this for you that makes no sense.
@@okiefoodieking yessir sure did! I’m familiar with the maintenance required notification but this specifically mentions Engine maintenance. We are officially 3 diagnostic scans completed with no codes. I no idea why the alert cannot be removed from the dash and was told to drive it 40 or so miles to see if it goes off.
@okiefoodieking says reset complete and "engine maintenance required" still pops up. I did what you did with key on second position. Engine running. Even with trip a displayed. Nothing is working. I posted a comment to see if anyone else has the same issue.

Thank you! Why doesn’t it say check oil instead? How are we supposed to know maintenance required is a major problem? This is my first RAV 4 - 2022.

The Toyota manual leaves out one critical step. You have to hit the Back button first to get the screen that shows the gear and other icons.
Yes sir
@@okiefoodieking You explained that, but Toyota didn't. Great video. Fixed my problem,. Thanks.
