In this tutorial, I will show you how to reset the Maintenace Light Reminder on a Toyota Rav4. The Maintenance Light reminder is used to indicate when your Toyota Rav4 needs an oil change or other maintenance service. Resetting the maintenance light will also reset the oil life back to 100%. Always check that all of your required maintenance is complete on your Toyota Rav4 before resetting the Maintenance reminder. This video was filmed on the new 2019 Toyota Rav4 LE AWD with a 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. The process will be very similar or the same in future years of the Rav4. 2020, 2021 2022 etc...

I'm a 72 year old woman, not mechanical in the least. Always depended on hubby for car things. Due to illness, he can no longer help with these sort of things. Well! Thank you for the video. I have a 21 rav4 xle push-start and this worked great. As a side note, this can be done when the vehicle is actually turned on and running as well, not just accessory mode

Thanks for the explanation. The Toyota manual says nothing about putting it in the accessory mode by pressing the start button Twix and holding the vehicle sitting down for a few seconds. Your video made it very clear and easy. THANKS!!!!!

I just did a maintenance reset on a 2021 RAV4 XLE HYBRID. Excellent i couldn't find it in the manual.There is more info here in a few minutes than some videos that ramble on for thirty minutes and say very little.I also subscribed
So I had an oil change and cabin filter done at Jiffy Lube yesterday for $183 Due to holidays they were really backed up yesterday and it took me about an hour.…and they didn’t reset the maintenance reminder. I called them up and they said search in RUclips….well thank goodness for this video. Easy peasy and saved me a trip back in to JL.

Great information. Worked well on my 2020. Easy to understand. Your instructions are very clear. Do you have a video on turning off the annoying seat belt chime? There are others available but very confusing from one video to another. Your explanation is clear and camera work following your instructions make following your instructions simple.

This was perfect! I to have a 2019 RAV4, well my wife does lol. The dealer did the 20,000 mile maintenance, and forgot to hit the reset. This is not uncommon as I have a Lexus ES 350 and it seems almost every time the dealer forgets to reset that darn thing. Thank you very much. Have a great Fourth of July.

It worked thank you! I have a 2021 Rav4 Hybrid for the record. Also, I was able to reset the maintenance reminder with the vehicle on, I did not need to have it in accessory mode.

Probably a dumb question, but it resets it to what? For example, my Rav4 is due for its first 5000 mile oil change. After I get the oil changed and reset that, will it then remind me at 10000 miles?
5000 tire rotation only 10000 oil change

My comment is that my car did not go into the accessory mode when I press the start button two times. However, when I actually started the car up with my foot on the break, I was able to get to all of my arrows and modes, and reset my maintenance schedule. So it worked but not quite the way you said.

Do you know how long until the light will come on again? I just got a 2022 rav4 and was looking at maintenance schedule and it says get maintenance at 5,000 miles or 6 months. Will it automatically come on at 5000 miles or 6 months?
