Nice video, not a lot of people tune this car, which is a shame. I have the same car, well until June when my lease is up. You should take the car to the drag strip if you want to see how much faster it is. I took mine bone stock and it does a 14.5@ 97mph. If you can get in the 13s with your tune, intake and exhaust that would be great. I doubt it since you are complaining about wheelspin. But watch your mph if you go to the track, it will tell you how much power you have. My guess is that you are definitely in the 101-103mph range.
Wow I gave up looking for an update a long time ago .... And they turned it into an RX-8 ...can't run in the cold! Well that settles it for me with mine it will stay stock. Do not buy this car and spend money on HP and torque, just fill with 93 or 94. Best bang for buck you can get. When my '18 was new they didn't specify a torque increase only a HP increase with 93 octane, but on the Mazda 3 with the turbo Mazda said torque increased. Now they've updated the specs a bit on the 6 as well. Bought mine new in May '19 and have run 94 basically the whole time with no issues and runs like new. Responsiveness is noticable it just kind of wants to go more than when running on regular or premium. 93 or higher as per Mazda.
Crazy how you got it tuned. I been waiting for a tune and no one has came up with a reliable one 🤷🏻♂️. Drtune specializes in Mazda but they can’t figure out the 2.5 turbo computer
Hey @itscu I'm a Mazda6 owner as yourself, living in the Bergen County area currently. Was wondering what's your thoughts on the intake and would you recommend it.
@@itscu Do you feel it's made your car perform worse than before in certain aspects or you would say the only difference is the sound of the turbo fluttering? I don't plan on modding my car much. Maybe a downpipe later on if I'm ever convinced. Thanks!
@@Rayms_Jr I know when i first put it on, it felt like my car was a little slower but i could be wrong. It definitely didnt make it significantly faster.
@@Rayms_Jr I put in my injen CAI and I love it ! I had a muffler delete before adding the intake so my car had a low throaty sound before the intake. And the CAI definitely has gave me more torque . Would recommend .
I traded my 2020 Mazda 6 Grand Touring (Turbo) for a 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo 2.5 HB. The 3 Turbo is far more enjoyable to drive than the 6 thanks primarily to all wheel drive and also the higher level of refinement all the way around. Plus, with the lighter weight it is faster. As you noted, wheelspin with the 6 Turbo is just uncontrollable and ruins any full throttle starts from a dead stop.
@@itscu Well, they knew it was getting long in the tooth and it appears that 2021 is it's last year...at least in it's current form. Seriously, when you drive the 3 you instantly realize just how dated the 6 is now. There have been rumors of a new rear wheel drive platform for a new 6 and the CX-5, however, with the continuing decrease in sedan sales I suspect the 6 may be gone for good.
@@rdhqcpro9751 yeah i heard, also heard of a new 6 cylinder engine. Although that sounds unlikely because hybridization and ev becoming the new wave. Maybe they are giving it one last go with a killer sport sedan. Ill take a look at the new mazda 3 next time im at the dealership.
Will agree that the Mazda 3 SHOULD be quicker because of the smaller size, but the "refinement" phrase may only apply to AWD. I'm older so the Mazda6 Signature (2021) is very refined and since I never punch it off of the line, this car is very quick, super sharp to look (TONS of compliments - black car) and with a JB4 tuner in the 25mph - 100mph range is a total sleeper against many rides out there (think 2.OT Accord etc.).
In speed yes, but what if you dont like the accords . I do like them. Im just saying , I got the car with no intention to make it faster. I kinda just got the urge too. Wish i didnt tho lol .

Update for all of you. JB4 motorsport does have a software to tune your mazda 6. I haven't gotten it yet but soon to come.
Did you get the JB4 tuner yet? Curious about the results for the Mazda6.
@Ahmed Archambault I sure did!! It does wonders 🙌🏾🙌🏾 I tuned mine to make 27-30 psi of boost.
@@jevaughnbrodie would love a video about it if you ever get a chance! Mazda6 community are curious about tuning their 2.5 turbos

Yeah , its very tricky. At the current time, probably not worth the money.
I agree and most people say the same thing. Orange Virus tried but also ran into too many issues that they stopped trying
@@ernestoduran5610 yeah i was planning on getting a tune from them. I definitely see why they stopped. I wish I knew what I was getting into.
You should check out what burger motorsports is doing with this engine and they are providing great results with constant updates.

I dont know why there is a slight delay in the audio, but i didn't feel like trying to figure it out lol.
