I loved this video. I am amazed at how well researched you did with this. My first real job at Egghead stores, I worked there for 5 years, lots of funny stories and memories there.
This brings back a lot of memories. As a software developer, I can remember when the Microsoft Chicago beta program came out, and the industry was running toward OS/2 because that's what was at Egghead. I warned my employer that windows was going to win the battle, and we shouldn't integrate with OS/2, but should run toward Windows. Ironically our forward-thinking CEO fired me, insisting that OS/2 was the future. Nobody noticed their OS/2 product line, and the company died. I ended up writing Windows apps for several years until Linux came along, and I jumped feet-first into linux and have been a linux developer ever since. It is a strange feeling to remember the Egghead world, and how many changes have taken place since then. As fast as software changes, I wonder what's next? I predict the current so-called "AI" will turn out to be today's "pet rock" fad, and something really spectacular will come along and steal it's thunder.
