I'm currently working my notice out of a maintenance tech position at a psychiatric hospital. Drowning in work orders between myself and boss. Can't hire anyone, and the ones that are hired can't do what is on their resume. I would love to have a co worker as skilled and with such a positive outlook on things, it would make coming to work so much more bearable. Keep the videos coming skid, they are great to watch.

Does your company let you replace the coils? Does first company do any warranty on the coils ?
I replace the coils and there's no warranty anymore since they're over 5 years old.
@Lex Vance you can ohm out the common and power when you had the thermostat wires disconnected to test the coil on the contactor. Save you a trip outside.

Hey I need some help. I have Copeland two stage compressors on my Geothermal unit. Unit was installed 10 years ago. Recently my unit had a short. I found out that my second stage solenoid is grounded. Here is a part number of my compressor ZPS51K4E-PFV 230V. So now it's only works in the first stage. Please tell me for how long it can last. Can it last 1 more year or 10 more years? Thank you so much!

No. The company I work with is just like "meh" just deal with it. 😆 Job security.
How often are you on call at your work? And do you find yourself having to run very many calls after hours/weekends?
One week every 7 weeks. We average 10 plus hours every on call.
Better document all those evap replacements so those super techs that hate their family can feel good. I know I'm not getting off late just to save some refrigerant when countries are burning a million tires at a time. That's why I hated the HVAC trade most companies don't care about their techs family life.

Most coils have a 5 year warranty. 🔜Take the model number to the supply house and check. Get those POS Warranty out!
