- This video shows a cockpit view of the approach and landing of a Boeing 737-800 on runway 31 at Malta International Airport (MLA/LMML). Runway 31 has a length of 3350M and is 58 meters wide.
Wiki: Malta International Airport (Maltese: Ajruport Internazzjonali ta' Malta, IATA: MLA, ICAO: LMML) is the only airport in Malta and it serves the whole of the Maltese Islands. It is located on island of Malta, southwest of the Maltese capital Valletta in the town of Gudja, and occupies the location of the former RAF Luqa. The airport serves as the main hub for Air Malta and Medavia besides being a base for Ryanair and its subsidiary Malta Air. It is also home to the Area Control Center and hosted the annual Malta Airshow until 2017.

Flying to malta is always so cool. Fly super low over the city and even cross a vulcano. (When coming from netherlands)
Smooth as silk.

Thank you! And that’s correct indeed ;)
I want to be a pilot like you love this vid am new subscriber becare cause of corona virus
Follow your dreams! Welcome, thanks for subscribing!
in malta we literally never have grass pretty much so you're lucky seeing any grass there lol
Haha I didn’t know! Lucky me I got it on film ;)
They werent lucky to see the grass. Its just that the flight was not in summer. Malta has a lot of grass when its not summer (except in most towns and cities obviously which are densely constructed).
Awesome angle. If only you would have the sound plugged to the headsets like mightymkl it would be perfect
Maybe it will come one day.
Awesome video! How much of the engine sound can you hear through the airflow and the noice cancellation, Sir?
I am able to hear the engine sounds through the airflow and noice cancellation. I know some pilots don't and they mostly fly with noice cancellation of during take-off and landing.
AviaView awesome, thanks very much for the reply!
Bagus sekali pemandangannya japan ya saya bisa jalan jalan ke Malta
What airlines are you in?
Why’d you trim the trim wheel all the way down after landing? Is it SOP or something?
It's SOP indeed. TRIM to 4 Units Nose Up as part of the Taxi In Procedure. 5 Units Up in Cold Weather Operations ;)
When the pilot says “You want to do the clean up?”, what does that entail doing?
After we get the taxi clearance from ATC, we confirm we both understand the taxi routing and the clean up means I as First Officer can do the Taxi In Procedure. It’s a flow where we clean up flaps, trim, instruments, mode control panel, exterior lights and overhead panel in the right configuration before we arrive on the stand.
hvor er det dog kedeligt at se på
air malta or malta air ryan air?

Hello im from malta
Hello there!
فدي جميل
I know alot of pilots they say Malta has the easiest / largest runways in Europe
Yes, the main runway is pretty long!
What airline?
Ryanair
Do they ever pay to replace bits of broken plastic trim ? I wouldn't be happy driving a 2k car like that, never mind an aeroplane in peacetime !
If a broken plastic trim is non-essential and doesn’t interfere with operating the aircraft safely it will probably stay like that.
If you were driving a 2k car, then you probably would not have the funds to replace. Ahhhh, just saying.
Is it procedure for the FO to keep his hands on the yoke even if AP or Cap is flying?
When the captain is flying I'm not allowed to control or have my hands on the yoke. When I'm pilot flying with the autopilot I normally have my hands on the yoke below 10.000ft/FL100. There's a requirement/operating procedure which says "The rudder pedals shall be guarded by both pilots and the control column by the PF below FL100." The interpretation of the word guarded differs a bit from person but I like to have my hand on the control column/yoke most of the time below FL100 with the autopilot on.
Aviaview, did you ever fly an older 737 and experience the rudder phenomenon where it went the opposite way you were trying to pushing it?
I can try to tell you flew near bizerbugga
That’s true! It’s right on the approach path.
Can Iuse a 10 second clip of this video please.
For what purpose?
