- Have Mental Cruelty help shape and evolve Deathcore into something new with their latest single "Symphony of a Dying Star"? Or are they leaving that scene behind and trying a completely different style of metal?

well spoken ❤🤘
Thanks man! Loved the new track, constantly on repeat.
I really like the new Mental Cruelty album. I think Lorna Shore will incorporate some elements of Sleep Token into their sound in the future.
I really enjoyed it too. I just wish there was more songs that followed the style shown in Symphony of a Dying Star though.
Miss your videos!
great video! Mental Cruelty is my most favorite band of all time. there album from 2021, A Hill To Die Upon, is a beautiful masterpiece in my opinion, and i love that they continue to evolve their sound with Symphony Of A Dying Star. so excited to see what they put out next!
Thanks a lot man! I did enjoy AHTDU, but was really excited with this new sound evolution, i hope they continue it with the upcoming single this week...
Random thought, but I always notice that people don't mention half of Lorna Shore's sound is really good technical death metal with spotlight shred solos, they aren't pure deathcore and that's one of the things that keeps them interesting. The main writer of the band has Necrophagist as his favorite band.
Deathcore is not metal.
So do you like their new track?
@@MetalHealthTV You mean "Zwielicht/Symphony of a Dying Star"?
It indeed sounds like melodic death metal with some deathcore elements thrown in. But the MDM part is okay, and the solo is really nice, so yes, it's a big improvement.
@@rembo96 Definitely a big improvement! Hope they continue with this sound.
Agreed. IMO all -core is heavy punk regardless of any elements they take from metal.
Oh you mean death metal with hardcore and metalcore elements?
