EVOLUTION OF DEATHCORE? - Mental Cruelty
Просмотров 715Год назад
Have Mental Cruelty help shape and evolve Deathcore into something new with their latest single "Symphony of a Dying Star"? Or are they leaving that scene behind and trying a completely different style of metal? Link to original track - ruclips.net/video/rpxyHRIk5vM/видео.html

Why are SABATON so big?
Просмотров 141 тыс.Год назад
In this video I discuss how Sabaton's unique twist on Power Metal has helped them become the biggest band of the entire genre, by far! Why are they so popular? And what is it that draws so many unsuspecting people to their music?
What happened to NECROPHAGIST?
Просмотров 51 тыс.Год назад
Arguably the most influential Technical Death Metal band of all time, but Necrophagist haven't released any material since 2004. What actually happened? And is there a 3rd album coming?
IS POWER METAL BIGGER THAN EVER RIGHT NOW?
Просмотров 35 тыс.2 года назад
Is Power Metal in the middle of a resurgence right now? With bands such as Sabaton and Powerwolf enjoying huge success across the globe as well as a whole scene of Fantasy Power Metal growing in popularity, you could say the genre has never been bigger! “Correction:” 09:23 Kai Hansen's Son.
STEELHEART SHOULD HAVE BEEN BIGGER?
Просмотров 26 тыс.2 года назад
Why aren’t Steelheart one of the biggest bands from the 1980s Metal scene? Featuring - probably - the most talented vocalist from the Hair & Glam Metal era; Miljanko Matijevic. Steelheart never did quite manage to “make it”; following an ill-fated and unfortunate career. Watch the video to find out the full story of an underrated and unfortunate Heavy Metal band… All the videos, songs, images, ...
THE BIGGEST JOKE IN METAL? WINTERSUN

In this video I talk about - quite possibly - the biggest joke in Metal. Are Wintersun for real? Or are they just one big scam which is hell bent on ripping off the fanbase by any means necessary? Is Jari Maenpaa a musical genius or just a grifter? Watch the video to learn the story... All the videos, songs, images, and graphics used in the video belong to their respective owners and I or this ...

I love Sobaton a lot. They are the only rock band i listen too. i like that it’s less gravely and that there is a story behind all the songs. I’m a German-American living in the south and i only really listen to older country music and Sobaton. (Modern country is awful) Never liked pop, jazz, rock, or anything else until i started listening to sobaton. really great stuff! highly recommend! the patriotic and prideful feeling i get listening to songs like wolfpack, ghost of the trenches, midway, and shiroyama is incredible.

6:41 it's more like a history documentary that does a good job of keeping you immersed, they are the polar opposite of mindless action and senseless plot, the difference is the stuff they sing of ACTUALLY HAPPENED. If people have a issue with what they sing about then grab a time machine and go take it up with the people who made the event happen. People whining about what the stuff is like going after your history teacher for telling you about the events.

There's no such thing as pop fuckn metal I don't no why these assclowns coined that phrase they do not mix, it's stra8 up rock n roll, hard rock, heavy metal, classic rock, and even glam rock is a stoopid phrase, there not logical phrases there stoopid fuckn catch phrases used 2 sell stories in the magazines. never judge a book by its cover. The idea that Sabaton are Nazi sympathizers is so absolutely mental, when half their songs are about heroizing the Allies and villifying the Axis in WW2. It's like calling Primo Levi a Nazi sympathizer for writing about concentration camps.

I think the real strength of power metal is it's self-effacing sense of humor, in contrast to the absolutely poisonous levels of self-seriousness and Rockism that plague metal, punk, indie, and other rock and roll derived genres.

2:20 I actually disagree, sabaton varies their sound alot. They love mix in the occasional ballad, or other songs that don't quite fit their usual genre. They do definitely have a sound, and that sound's at the core of the majority of their songs, but it's not that big of a majority, they love to jump outside their core.

Thanks for the story . We all age you will one day . He has the warmest voice ever with so much passion. Why not adapt to a softer range soft rock . I am ready to listen to that many others too I am sure . He writes marvels , he has so much to give , he never gave up in spite of serious near death mishaps. He got back on his feet everytime , he sings with such intensity . His songs are not just ballads. It is something else very elaborate. This is a man who never gave up . Have you seen many like that . Check him out you will be surprised . I discovered him lately. He is a giant.

If I may take issue with your brief discussion of USPM, saying that it is just thrash with more melody doesn't do justice to the movement, since bands ranged from prog metal to doom; some had glam elements while others were closer to speed and thrash. I get defending power metal, but to dismiss an important (and still influential) stream of it seems to undercut your argument.

I would say that Sabaton is more heavy metal than power metal. IMO power metal includes more fantasy elements, like Gloryhammer or Wind Rose, as opposed to historical events. Powerwolf is closer to power metal than regular heavy, but fantasy metal should be its own genre

Yes Milijenko had a voice that rivaled or surpassed greats like Halford , Tate and Bach even many of the Big bands of the day that were awesome and popular didn't have a vocalist like Milijenko . The Band was awesome as well known for chest ratting drums and crazy guitar solos and the visuals to go along with it . The drummer who has since sadly passed on had the craziest drum kits and could make them sing as good as any of the best well known drummers like Neal pert . I have so much respect for Milijenko and still marvel at his performances, even today he can still belt out those notes with maybe just the very top clipped a .little and the ability to carry that note for insane lengths of time he no longer has but hey for a 60 year old man he has pretty much no rival except Halford from the hey day of Metal !

My favorite moment from any Sabaton concert is in the video of the Red Baron song in Berlin, and it starts out with Joakim playing Swedish pagans on the organ used for the song, and then he asked the crowd if they wanted to hear the song, and he said along the lines of "Well that's too fucking bad, because it is time for the Red Baron!" Never been to one of their concerts but now I want to now that I know of the interactions he makes with the crowd

Milijenko Matijevic is in my top 5 singers of all time. I think the moment that ruined Steelheart’s career was the incident during Halloween in 1992. It didn’t help that the album was a complete flop compared to the debut. But his voice is legendary, and he’s super underrated.
