When I played, I had a card that had the "deal 1 damage to cards played in its lane" and poisonous sigil. He played the glitched card into the lane in front of it, the ability triggered, it killed the glitched card, a new one spawned in the same spot, the ability triggered a second time, and that triggered the act transition.

The insane part is that he still says "Try again?" if you kill him - not incrementing the lives.
And even if he DOES end up attacking... it's just the same thing.

I spent weeks trying to outsmart the game on this section. In fact, I timed how long it takes for the glitched card to get all the way from the Dredger's conveyer belt to P03's card scanner (2:36), and then P03 played that card anyway at 1:58. So you can't outrun the card either
He played the glitched card in front of my card so I sacrificed that card so I wouldn’t attack it and just won the match instantly with my oroborus in a different spot. Still didn’t work

i thought you could punch the clitched card out of the conveyor belt by timing the inspector head drop but no matter how fast u are at getting to and beating the inspector, the glitched card never arrives as it's just gone so you can't win.
I took notice that when you battle the other bots and they put themselves on the belt, they push off one of the other items in it. And since it was possible to get to the dredger while leaving the inspector alive, I spent an afternoon battling her and trying to time it so that she'd push the corrupted data pack from the belt with her head. But it turns out the corrupted item just disappears from the belt altogether once you start a battle.
Yeah, the game is unfortunately hardcoded into forcing you into Act 3 no matter what. This game is actually pretty linear, in comparison to Mullins' other games
I knew that conceding ended act 2 because as soon as I entered that boss fight I remembered that I forgot to set my deck back to normal after building it for the fight where magnificus just starts rewriting your sigils so I conceded to fix my deck. Didn't even get to see the glitch card, it sucked.

This happened to me too but I beat him with my magnificus deck
I encountered the skip because I forgot to change the deck from Magnificus fight. At first I genuinely thought that had I win I would go into another story pathway/ alternate ending. 😅

1:10 I discovered that on accident when I realized I had a hand that had cards I didn't want to be in my deck (I was testing out some stuff and forgot to change the deck back to normal)
Something I still have to check is if you move oroboros by hammering it and placing it again

The first time you ever have a sigil duel, PO3 (STOAT) will complain about Leshy not caring for the rules by introducing them.

Yep since neither jacksepticeye, 8bitryan, matpat, and a PLETHORA of more RUclipsrs couldn't be bothered with a 6 part series since the game isn't "popular enough for ad revenue" the game isn't fully discovered until now. Meanwhile you look at security breach and everyone is digging every nook and cranny whilst literally playing it for 8+ hours of series/letsplay. Hope mark finishes this game to guve it the attention it needs, i don't want it to suffer like omori

Maybe you only follow the big names, but there are many creators that have done full playthroughs since the demo released and still going to this day, also among the non-creator community there is a lot of word of mouth recommendations and discussions. It seems a little silly to say that just because a few creators haven't devoted more time to it that the game is not fully discovered or maybe quickly forgotten.

What if you avoid it and win? What if you fly over the tombstones in act 3 and not kill any scrybes? What if you never screenshot.

I presume force mage does nothing to the bugged card... although even if it did do something, you've shown at 0:21 that nothing happens when you get to the second stage so having an ouroboros to deal damage with force mage blocking the bugged card would be pointless or an endless loop.
1:07 discovered this on accident because i forgot to change my deck before fighting p03 and went “oh no i should surrender and change my deck” and accidentally got myself into act 3
Easy way to try to kill the glitch:
1)do a circuit where there is the card that makes the energy never depletes
2)use plasma jimmy
3)span

@Sifd - Not sure if you ever realized it, but most of the "robotic" cards and characters in the game from acts 2 and 3 include some form of 1337 Speak (Leetspeak) which was a pseudo hacker "language" that substituted numbers and symbols for letters to make the text harder to read for those unfamiliar with the substitution.
This was only really popularized in the 80's and 90's, and by the turn of the millennium had already started to drift out of popularity, and now rarely used outside of ironic uses or wannabe hackers, script kiddies, and posers, so if you had never heard of it it would be understandable.
Anyhow, P03’s name is another example of this leetspeak, so his name is POE, if you wanted to be able to actually pronounce his name instead of saying the names of the letters and numbers.
This may also make his name a reference to another adage of internet culture known as Poe's Law, that says that without a clear indicator of the author's intent, that a person acting in parody of extreme views can be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of the views being parodied.
For example, someone making fun of flat earth believers by pretending to believe in the flat earth as a parody is extremely difficult to differentiate between an actual flat earth believer because their beliefs are so unbelievable to begin with.
*** SPOILERS FOR ENDING ***
So then if P03’s name was an intentional reference to him being a Poe, and just playing his role as a parody, then the twist at the end of act 3 where he had gradually manipulated you into granting him access to your computer's files and internet access such that he could distribute copies of the game to everyone instead of being trapped on that single floppy disk makes much more sense.
He tricked you and manipulated you into doing exactly what he wanted, to spread his sentience, as well as the OLD_DATA, to everyone despite everyone's efforts to stop him, and the final ending in the ARG made it clear that he succeeded even though Grimora and Leshy took drastic steps to try and stop him.

@@Starhawke_Gaming yeah My headacnon is that we get the original copy of inscryption because the download didn't finished in time so we get inscryption, but it starts with the Leshy campaign.
What if you kill it twice, through the bifrucated for example (I have no idea how to get enough attack though)?
I don't have the game myself so I'm probably wrong but from my knowledge the only card which can kill it is ouroborus and in act 2 you can't put other sigils and stuff
@@sushikaiju689 you could in theory get enough mantis gods and combine them at the mushroom man to get the powerful enough

It will honestly be kind of funny that if you end up fighting P03… and you either surrendered or quit seconds before it starts, he would likely comment about you bailing and not being pleased about it.

If you go to main menu and start new game it starts but p03 waits for you at the beginning of the game
It even asks you to pick a starter deck, but the tombs become 3D before they get a chance to appear, so you can't actually pick one and get out of the first room (which would presumably stop the Act 3 transition). You can even pause _during_ the transition and even open up the "alter deck" menu.
My notebook was low on batteries when I started this fight, so I exited to the main menu and hibernated the machine. When continuing the game, it immediately went to the "game crash" cutscene; I was very confused at the time.

So when I played through Inscryption with a friend who had already beaten it, I made sure to get every possible card in Act 2 because of how much I enjoyed it. This included the Bone Lord secret, for which I altered my deck to get the amulet pieces.
I forgot to change my deck back when I faced off with P03, so I conceded, thinking it'd take me back and let me change my deck.
Both me and the friend were thoroughly surprised.

I actually just achieved this during my last play through! There’s a card manual in Magnificus’ tower in the right room that shows you all of the cards you can collect in Act 2. There’s a few game breaking cards that can help you get all of them very quickly if you know you need beforehand!

What if you ignore the glitched card, and one shot po3 before it can attack? Bosses get 2 lives, so ouroborus takes first life turn 1, then with rng sacrifice the ouroborus and kill po3 again without hitting the glitch card... I wonder
What happens if you deal 5 damage directly before the card attacking the glitch goes?
What if you hammer that card and use a different card to win the fight without hitting the old data?
Also what happens if the card is a double strike and is placed in front of it? will you win or will the transition still happen?

I got to him and was like "okay it's getting late I'll fight him tomorrow" then the next day I opened up the game and it skipped to act 3 and I was so confused
On my first play through I wanted too change my deck up mid fight and I thought I could just retry like the other bosses… scared the shit outta me
okay what if you have a card in play, and it kills him for the first time, and he's like "i'll just leave this here" and tries to block your strongest card. but you held back ourourbourousou. so you play that and kill him the second time. what happens then??
i wonder what would happen if you got the 1 shot ouro, made the bug card spawn when ouro gave him the damage, destroyed ouro and spawned him on another side of the board, taking out P03's final life

That's not called a secret. That's a Game Dev Team being fucking Lazy. They could have had secrets in, P03 acting differently, or forcing it to happen, or anything. But no, they just force it so that any and all actions forces the Trigger for the Switch to the next act. That is LAZY AS FUCK for a team that was usually much more creative with other parts of the game and trying to Sequence break.

@@nethowarrior3294 True, but you can actually get around that, Legitly or through cheating, and STILL Progress the game, tho with less features, till you beat Leshy for the first time. Tho you can't get the Film during that first run, so can't 'win' in the end.
But here, you can't get around it, at all. It always plays the Sequence that you failed, no matter what, breaking the logic and believability of it. It's no different than fighting a boss where you're meant to lose, such as Sekiro's first boss, you beat him, and then the game acts like you still lost anyways, and shit all over you.

@@nethowarrior3294 True, but if you kill him before it is even played, it should either A, skip the third act and end the time there and reset, either back to the beginning of Act 2, or the very start of the game, a kinda 'Secret Early Ending'. Or 2, have a different Sequence of P03 being mad at losing, ranting, and activating the card anyways in spit and then continuing the normal sequence. Either way, they NEEDED to add something more for that situation. The same with the Save and Loading situation. It should have Loaded to put you into the beginning of the battle, not automatically put you after the battle as a 'lost'
