-Grimora: Honestly a sweetheart. Very kind, never aggressive, would rather Inscryption and its cycle just cease so the fighting ceases. Very prone to spoiling the smallest success with praise. Uses many puzzles in her stories, more than actual encounters. -Leshy: Eccentric storyteller that sets up scenes with great presentation. Quite scary at first but charismatic enough to have a small following. Dark fantasy settings only, but mastering one has ensured the atmosphere is always perfect. -P03: Egotistical but smart and ambitious, always desires more than what he has. Definitely plays D&D and definitely min-maxes. Long-term adventures over presentation, dabbles in a whole lot of everything so tends to be a bit unoriginal at times. -Magnificus: Enigmatic genius with a screw loose. Knows too much and regularly has an existential crisis. Despite this, is much more kindly than P03 although lacks the same ambition to fight the destiny he sees. Often features complex mechanics and hidden passages.

Considering the work that went into making those sections, I'd guess they were intended to be fleshed out, but perhaps a deadline hit, or it seemed like it'd be too bloated. Anyway, there's a mod for Grimora. I think someone was working on a Magnificus one as well. And, we already got Leshy and P03.
@@Mythraen I had to google this before I ended up replaying Act 2... I was honestly expecting a whole "cabin setting" like Leshy Act 1 with ALL the other scrybes. Just so happened I picked Botopia naturally. I played the game thinking I could actually choose the 3 others.
I like how when Grimora explains how bones work she seems to already know that you understand how Bones work. And thus she like all the others remember what happened.

All his boasting feels like putting on airs, he seems beyond glad to see you succeed as long as you have made him part of whatever grand tale your ascend involved. Grimora may match him there? But it's hard to tell with her, she does seem more personally offended by you trying to replace her still, but then just shifts to bemoaning the cycle continuing. Leshy's attitude being that of humbleness actually explains why he captured the other scrybes as he did as well, an ill guided attempt at humbling all of them.

She was probably hoping she could take the seat this time around _(and maybe permanently delete Inscryption finally, if she felt so inclined)
At first deep inside I hoped I would be able to play with every single boss in his own real game... Well in the end it did happen, but I actually hoped for more time on each scribe... Provided you exit out of the game before that, you will have the chance to pick another. If not...well...the good news is it just takes you right to Act 3 and you dont have to fight Po3

I think it's something to do with our PCs. If it is only modestly equipped for gaming, Inscryption will play out slower, which makes timed events cut off prematurely. I missed a lot of dialogues from the glitchy fight with Magnificus because of that, it turns out. I didn't know he acknowledged your bonding with Slime Mage until someone else pointed it out to me.
Additionally, the Kaycee ghoul in Grimora’s place was looking to bring the data up through the well. I think Magnificus was the only one not looking for it.
@@MrBulbo-oz1es Slime Mage is the one that's supposed to look for it for Magnificus. Magnificus says "Why must my pathetic slime mage always fail?" (21:24 in the video)
I kinda don’t get why all of the other scrybes think P03 is the worst of them. Sure, his mission is to upload the game to the internet, therefore exposing the OLD DATA to anyone who can find it, he’s indifferent to even his worker bots, he’s cynical and outright an arse sometimes, he doesn’t have much of a vision for atmosphere or story, and he’s egotistical, but… Meanwhile, Magnificus is over here basically putting his junior mages through torture (Lonely Mage wants nothing to do with him because of it, Pike Mage is constantly in pain, and Goobert IS MADE OF HIS OWN LIQUEFIED ORGANS), is too prideful/stubborn and focused on getting you to not delete him that he doesn’t even get to shake your hand, is also extremely egotistical (I literally beat his Act 2 fight by using Mox cards because he was like “oh this is good!” and didn’t change the sigils; most likely, he believes his cards are superior to the others’), genuinely doesn’t care about the efforts his mages put in (“Why must my pathetic Slime Mage always fail?”; bleaching Goobert from the painting), and he generally just seems pretentious. Why should he get to pretend that putting his students through torment JUST to be made part of his deck is any good for them/that it means he cares about them? Sorry, that’s just the part that gets me the most. P03 might be a somewhat cold and heartless machine, but he at least is pretty decent. He hates everyone else, doesn’t understand playing for the fun of it (but he at least BEGINS to when he mentions “almost” having fun with you), and doesn’t care much about his worker bots (though he doesn’t mind when the Dredger refuses to put himself on the line, EVEN WHEN he doesn’t know that the Dredger brought up the OLD DATA for him, so there’s some level of decency there), but he certainly isn’t as bad as Magnificus. Even if his ego might be insufferable to the other scrybes, at least he says what he’s thinking out loud, unlike keeping it subtle, like Magnificus. (Ex: Magnificus doesn’t bleach Mox cards; P03 directly states his hatred for the other scrybes and actively competes with them.) Also, another thing: Leshy doesn’t even want to look at Goobert, partly because he probably finds him annoying/disgusting, but also probably because it’s a prime example of Magnificus torturing his mages as a “final exam”. Leshy himself would NEVER do that to his own subordinates. The Angler clearly likes him as Fishbot enjoys seeing The Photographer boss, the Prospector is chill, and the Trapper/Trader are fine with him, too. So to see one of his fellow scrybes doing that to their own must be pretty horrifying, especially when Magnificus tries to pass it off as a *good thing*.
