@@Hedge_the_Hog I guess that's the "support" part of him, he's supposed to do the farming for his team, he doesn't get much out of it himself. I've personally been maining Walter for a solid while and generally im trying to play with 2-4 players. Most of the time I ended up hunting birds and getting food when my newbie teammates were starving. Felt nice helping newcomers, although I knew it was just.. kinda delaying the inevitable. Still worth it
this game is just that hard. im reluctant to join a server and would rather play solo where i can rollback for the dumbest reasons. at least i can learn to improve my noobness in a safe space lol
Walter mains are weird. I think on the bell curve, _most_ Walter mains fall on the 1st or 2nd quartile (so between 0 and 50th percentiles) of skill level at the game. Most people choose him because he's an all-around, really humorous character, but I've never seen but three people in my 1500+ hours that was actually able to circumvent the character flaws and actually challenge a lot of the raid bosses on their own in any public servers. So, I say they're kind of weird. Lots of noobish people assume that he's either OP or just a really cool character, and a lot of decent players sort of just accept that he's not easy to excel as, and just play the game with the expectation that they can't do any of the harder challenges with any ease.
My buddy who i play DST with is a Wilson main, and he’s CRACKED. I have to hold him back because i wanna get a bit more immersed in the game, but he wants to just beat it. He has beaten the game in 10 hours, which may sound like a lot, but is actually a really good run, so yeah.
Another important thing to note about us Wigfrid's, if we meet each other we WILL become unbreakable allies. Always. Multiple times I've joined a game with another Wigfrid, and in a matter of moments we'd start yelling about "SISTER ÖF BATTLE, WE MUST GÖ BATTLE THIS WÖRLD'S BEASTS!" And suddenly every boss is dead
hi! walter main here! walter was my first pick in dst, and although I changed characters a lot through my time on the game, I still looked up for walter when I was feeling bored or just wanted something new, even tho the slingshot sucks I liked that kind of playstyle. now talking in a more personal way, I kinda saw myself on him at times, like his quotes, personality and even his whole gimmick to keep the group morale up by cheering (or in this case, scaring) the others with his campfire stories. the feeling of being invincible that can be shattered with a single scratch was also a great reason, since no one is truly 'fearless', which is something I can greatly relate to. i like my scout boy and his loyal girl 👊
Also a Walter main! I guess I chosen, because I like the sound he makes when he talks, I like having a little companion with me even better when I have Chester following me too. I really take advantage of the fact that he can’t lose sanity as easily as the others answer that he can help raise everyone sanity around the fire at night.
I played Walter once and that was basically what I found to love about him. Just the character's personality and unique outlook on the nature of the game was charming and refreshing, and therefore, worth it
I can relate that the wendy's curse is real af, first time playing this 3 years ago and picked wendy, til now just playing with her waiting for the skill tree
@@Ch405sP1r4lzzzeven Maxwell's real name is William, Maxwell is just a stagename. It's probably for humor or because it's easier. It also has the effect of making it difficult to figure out who is saying what in the loading screen quotes. Some are obvious like any mentioning arson is probably Willow, but others are more ambiguous and the name of the speaker is just -W except for Maxwell of course he gets -M
Wicker main here. I'm not nostalgic. I would say Wicker is a strong late-game character. Maxwell has his moments, but I’m never in need of anything when I’m playing Wicker. It’s like having creative mode on a public server. Need rain? You have a book for that. Need food? Here, take these two books that can grow crops or this book that can summon free meat from the sky. Need resources like twigs/wood/grass/gold/fish/bone shards or some other things? There’s a book for that too. And if you know some strats, you can basically achieve a no-night game in 2-4 days by speedrunning the archives. Wicker excels at the things she does, so if you meet some required criteria, you’ve basically won. I’d describe Wicker players as either really into farms and having mastered a lot of the game, or someone who picked Wicker because she looked cool but has zero idea what her kit does or requires. There’s no in-between. I either have a perfect teammate or a guy who puts her bookshelf in the corner of the base because he doesn’t know that the bookshelf also works as an alchemy engine, so you can replace it. (Also, on that note, why do they always ask for reeds? Like, my guy, you can make a book, grab some sanity food, and go make yourself three stacks of reeds in two days. Why the hell are you asking your teammates for help?) On the note of a skill tree, I don’t really mind not having one, as Wicker has an endless amount of things to do, so there’s never a time where you’d go, "Yes, I need a skill tree to have an incentive to play Wicker again." I wouldn’t mind having a skill tree, but it’s definitely not necessary. Because I can almost imagine the amount of BS you’d get with that tree - like more uses for books, cheaper crafting, or some nonsense like more things you can grow with that crop book. She’s already strong enough, and I fear that a skill tree would completely break her already struggling balance.
Also, on the note of Wicker: Guys, there are endless amounts of farms you can do in this game. If you search enough or take the time yourself, you can farm almost any resource in the game in endless supplies-sometimes even automatically. Use your creativity, god damn it! You can make volt goat farms, Krampus farms, MacTusk farms, crops, sticks/twigs, fish, gold, all varieties of feathers, almost all bosses, wood, chess pieces (infinite nightmare fuel, hearts, dark swords, and armor), reeds, almost any type of meat, moon shards, flint, stone, and gems farms. This isn’t even all of them, just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. Experiment, build, do your research, and you’ll have a lot of fun with this character.
"Wormwood isn't as good at farming as people think" His skill tree allowing you to make lureplant farms and a long-lasting portable light source that helps teammates: Am I a joke to you? Anyway, if you can't tell, I'm a Wormwood main and you are absolutely correct about our need to feel useful, I'm not good at fighting but I will absolutely provide an army's feast with the right resources if I never have to touch a weapon ever again.
I'm a Walter main. I picked him up brand new to both ds or dst and my friend told me "He's hard, dont play him" but I did and enjoyed his downsides. I know now that he isnt really good, he's actually bad, but I still love him. My friend says his personality is carrying why he's been my main for so long.
15:09 you forgot the third type of wortox main: the furry - they just like the character aesthetic and they pretty much play like a starter wilson until they die from a nightmare creature and leave the game
I don't know why but i found this comment extremely hilarious, it's so true, wortox mains are either the most chill ppl on earth or they're a literal souless abominations (pun intended)
You forgot the stereotype of Webber mains trying to solve all problems with spiders (fuelweaver, dragonfly, etc) and then get upset when that isn't possible. No I am not talking about myself shut

As one of the 3 Walter mains, HI! We like helping out newbies and veteran players alike and exploring. We would rather pick flowers and set traps/hunt birds than fight, and making friends is our favorite things to do! (Even if those pigs and spiders friends would kill us very soon, and our glommer drives us crazy only to die in one hit during a hound rush....the beefalo are nice tho). We like telling stories and going on tangents and have a song for every occasion. We have stacks on stacks of booster shots and marble rounds and have lots and LOTS of food. Preparation is key! In real life, this translates to being anxious and overprepared, but still optimistic. Walter is challenging for many, but not us because we never had it easy to begin with. Making accommodations and plans has saved us time and time again. We are that friend who has a bag with EVERYTHING in it, from tiny scissors to cough drops to pens to uhh, why do i have a firestarter kit and an inflatable boat? It's better to be prepared, that's why! We probably also have several pets irl too, and friends from different countries. (Also I despise figs....fig flavor is fine tho) Fellow Walter mains, where you at?
Wilson main, always. Also, that reference when he's dancing to the song made up by Gordon Freeman is top notch. Makes me want to main Wilson more. "I am the very model of a modern Major-General" I can only imagine the entire game of Wilson narrating himself as he tries to survive LMAO
very fun you used the character attributes to psychoanalyze people, but i wish you took their quotes into account too. would have been great to see you psychoanalyze people by their main's quotes
@@MirthandirRose as someone whose favorites include wendy and webber... you got me. ...WX too, though with their animated short they fit extremely well too.
I like playing Walter because he offers cool gimmicks and new ways how to deal with different situations. Also he is one with nature - my favourite type of characters as well(Woodie also my number two).
I was a wickerbottom mean, then I obviously switched to Maxwell, then I learned that he’s a jerk and switched to Willow, but Wendy has a special place in my heart
for me I play wormwood because I find normal healing mechanics from food too overpowered, trivialising most of the game. being able to eat any food without losing health is also an interesting mechanic and the speed boost from wormwood's blooming is quite handy too him being allied to plants is also kinda cool but it pretty much only applies to lureplants... the new brightshades having no unique interaction with wormwood is such a missing opportunity from klei generally I play solo and rush the ruins
Wortox main here and spot on if i can say so myself. I just love to help friends learn the game and will pop up at random anytime one of them is in danger or starving with a fresh meal for them. And nothing makes me happier than being the ubber delivery guy of the server (even if i'm constantly starving myslef lol).
as a wilson main. i just love a silly little sceince man :) but yeah, i'm not a pro. i'm more of a nostaligic player, who played more ds then dst since 2014. and i love to just chill at the base, build it slowly, collect stuff, avoid fights. also still prefer to play alone then together lol
that Wigfrid description was brutal, I main her because she's a Viking and I'm an archaeology student and it just makes me so happy to play as her lmao
My reason for maining Wormwood is because my friends are a bunch of goobers who struggle to feed themselves or gather resources so I stay behind and mass-produce food, twigs, reeds, etc. so that if somebody just randomly needs something I have it at the ready and they can go back to never being near the base unless they're activly dying. I've basically turned myself into a useful houseplant.
as a WX-78 main, yea ur right but you forgot to mention the "well I can still have mad stats..." WX players. I love stacking health upgrade circuits and face tanking lmao. Also hes just a goofy lil guy, a silly lil fella. :D an edit: Also really like webber, never got too indepth with them but they seem to be the perfect RTS type character lmao
I'll always love Woodie as my main because while he does not excel incredibly high in any one category, he provides so many different options for how to approach a situation. His transformations are all very efficient at what they do, but have appropriate drawbacks as to not make traditional methods obsolete.
As a Wilson Main, you actually spoke real truth, I'm not a true pro, I'm intermediate at best and prefer to play as the basic no downsides guy Also, the alchemy tree that turns logs into twigs and spoiled meat into fresh morsels is super useful! The beard is also a plus!
I love these 😂 I’m like a mix of a Woodie, Wigfrid and Wortox and for my first main is “You like to be prepared” when I don’t even own a planer, make a grocery list and VERY often run out of things. That made me laugh so hard.
Funnily enough I main a modded character because I just really like his gameplay loop. He's basically a character that grows stronger over time, utilizing an item made from monster jerky to permanently increase his attributes. So while he starts below average, he can become pretty strong when you take the time to invest in him. His name's Zero in the workshop, and I love playing this kitty cat. Also there's a Funtime Foxy character that has, I believe, a 4x modifier to their damage because they're an animatronic, and sometimes when I'm bored I play as them to obliterate random bosses.
I think I may be an outlier for wendy mains. I love utilizing the small damage buff from abigail while fighting bosses and having to constantly keep track of her health so she doesn't die during. Also, using an ornery beefalo is very powerful for wendy, as she doesn't get that 25% damage reduction but still benefits from attacking whatever abigail is attacking. This allows for very high dps, especially with a war or nighmare saddle. Make no mistake tho, I was not much better than a noob when I started playing Wendy.
Heya, occasional walter main here! I like his increased travel storage and being able to run around and explore easily is neat, as it gets tedious not finding stuff early in worlds. Also having to not worry about sanity when teaming with more combat-focused characters is pretty neat.
as a Wendy main, from the very beginning of the game until the end, I can definitely confirm that it is truly a noob trap.. and it's like a curse once you use her as a noob you will never ever be able to get off her ever..
As a Maxwell main, I can confirm that the reason why I'd pick Maxwell and the tidbit about wishing others were a bit smarter sometimes without feeling superior are extremely accurate.
I was first drawn to Walter because he’s cute and has a dog, and his playstyle complimented the group I played with. Then I saw Jazzy’s solo boss rush using a Beefalo… my life was forever changed. It’s a hard 20 days of prep, but I cannot begin to describe just how much Walter benefits from good ammunition and an ornery Beefalo. You’ll hit like a truck and literally never run out of sanity. Strongly recommend it!
You got me with webber. Whenever i see the option of a summoner build in any game, i know what i want to be. Just let others do the work for you! plus, i found his design cooler than the rest of the cast.
I have a friend who walter mains- They play Walter, because on paper, it seems they'd be the easiest- able to fight from the sidelines. They also love dogs, and have at least 2
The other kind of Maxwell main: They’re in multiple DnD parties, and they’re always the mage. Usually wizard or sorcerer. Yes, Shadar Kai are funny little guys, how did you know?
Wickerbottom is still the speedrunner's darling, especially in Shipwrecked, for the fast tech starts. Warly mains are the homeowner's association of the server and will freak out if you mess with their kitchen and storage.
You're pretty spot on about Willow mains. When I was a kid, I would often dream about blasting people I don't like with giant lasers. I find Willow in general pretty relatable so her getting a literal Biden Blast was like a wet dream come true.
I went from Wilson, to Wickerbottom, to Wormwood, to Wortox as I learned how to play the game better. It started with "I don't understand the other characters' special traits yet, let's go with default" to "DAY 1 SHOVELS AND BACKPACKS
Walter main here! I have no idea how i am in real life. Confused would describe it i think. Woby as a mount is sometimes nice to have, but most of the time i will try and tame a beef anyway. Its nice to have a bigger inventory (most of the time someone else is using chester, or i am using both when i clean the camp - thats the main thing i do in dst, clean the camp!) No sanity-drain was the thing that made me choose walter when he was released, i am confused insane enough in real life.
I’m a W Warly knowing how to farm the best, and the best resources for cooking, example 2x big meat 1x Monster Meat 1x berry or any filler Will make Meaty stew while saving you 2x big meat
No, just no… I don’t even play characters for their playstyle, I just find Wendy relatable, and Wilson funny. Also, other people are not responsible for your fun in the game. I’m having fun as a support. I’d never “sacrifice” my fun for others. Hoarding stuff to the base, and helping out new players is my idea of fun. Let solo fighters have their fun too.
Remember - any support in the game is not actually a "Good and sacrificial lamb who loves the team", even if they act like it. They are manipulators. They are the ones with the power. A power that is not available to others... They decide who gets buffs and who doesn't. Who lives and who dies, abandoned to their fate. A support is not a kind assistant. It is a smart ruler, guiding others with his transparent hints. Do not anger the support... Otherwise, you will be left without buffs and healing.
I mostly play Woody, because i love chopping many trees, finding cool stuff, going to spawn and building mini base to help new players on server, and of course making many canes and helmets
i don't play the game very often, but whenever i do, i always play walter! he's my favourite character in lore and i think he makes the start of the game a lot easier, having an unbreakable weapon, a hat, and woby, who is both storage place and a rideable mob. i like his campfire story mechanic and that he doesn't lose sanity from most things. but, to be fair, he was my first pick and i never really wanted to try anyone else, since we always start new worlds and always in early game :D
As a Walter main you like ranged combat! Yes, you have a larger windup time. Yes, swords are better but you don't care. It's fun to grab a beefalo and stay in the backline while your other friends tank the damage. You also love that you can kill birds for infinite meat and feathers because you turn 1 morsel into 10 gold rounds.
The issue with Walter is that everybody who does videos like this treats him like every other character, when he's very much designed to be not. He doesn't excel at anything in particular, though he is slightly better at cooking and Woby is a big help with travel. He is best played as a support character that focuses on keeping his friends alive, so when it comes to being solo he does have a bit of issues surviving as he's not very good at handling multiple enemies at once, especially Hounds. He can't tank damage because he's not supposed to take any in the first place and the game punishes you for doing so, so you are highly encouraged to use the slingshot as much as possible. Main benefits I've noticed as a Walter main: Gobblers die in two hits of the Pebbles and don't run when struck, so when one shows up early they are actually quite beneficial. Walter's fearlessness makes it easier to conserve light sources; you only need to briefly light your torch about every 4 seconds at night, and can travel in darkness with no sanity loss (be careful about doing this; a single hit from Charlie will drain most of if not all of your Sanity. I tempted her a little too much once. Tenatacles cannot reach you, so be sure to gather Tentacle Spikes for your friends. I learned this early on when playing as Walter, our Oasis base was near a swamp and a Maxwell told me to go kill tentacles since I wasn't doing much (at the time, I had not yet studied and mastered farming). Walter's campfire stories encourage him to stay near the base, and can help negate passive sanity loss when working on it (Additional note, Walter can tell a story at any time when in the caves, not just at night). Walter's slingshot can stun lock a lot of things from a distance. Now i haven't yet managed to find enough Walter mains to do this, but enough of them could theoretically become a gatling gun. As a tip for playing as Walter, learn how to master farming for big crops, especially Potatoes. Being able to heal quickly is very important. Walter also has his own portable tent craft and takes less Hunger damage when sleeping, so he benefits significantly more from doing so than most characters. It also improves his traveling ability.
I'm a Wilson main and I'm proud to be a lawful noob and basic 😂. I mostly play DST to relax after work, not to master my gaming skills. Additionally I really like this character for his personality and I have a huge sentiment for him since I study bioengineery of animals, so probably gonna have pretty similar (if not the same) job. Also love his alchemy skills. Alchemy is cool ❤
As Maxwell main I would never say that that Woodie is any less in resource gathering. He got those damn stomps to hammer and destroy structures. Also as Maxwell main all of that is too true. I love when resources are gathered quickly, I rush for a speed beefalo because extra tankiness and quicker travel, I can do so many things off hand after easy gatherings because he relieves stress of needing to be prepared.
11:24 Spiders are not insects, they are arachnids. But yes jumping spiders are the most adorable 'Insect type' creature to exist. No other waved their little leg at me after I waved my hand to them to say hello!
As OTP Wigfrid I always keep the meat flowing. Having me in your game means always having meat in the fridge, I hunt and fish, and I'll make you the cheapest meatballs you can make! And literally in winter I'll only eat ice and spider meat lol and my goal in life is to make a boat and get salt just to store meat in the salt box I also smuggle eggs for gold with the pig king
Wilson main here. Two thoughts: 1. I made it to day 200+ on Wilson, I'd say that is pretty good. Beard hair without insanity = meat effigies for days. 2. "You probably enjoy simple pleasures. You don't care if things are boring as long as they are familiar to you." ...Okay, I feel called out here, because that is basically how I live my entire life. No drug use, alcohol, sex, romantic experiences, traveling, big career plans, etc. but having a nice cup of tea and spending the evening with my loved ones is a SSS+ tier use of my time. Simple, peaceful life FTW.
Wendy was my first true main with so many days, ironically I was able to learn proper kiting knowing how long battles would last knowing Abigail would get punted across the room, but its understanding why its a noob trap
Webber being the "summoner build" type of character for me is way more accurate than it had to be My favorite game types are creature collectors, tower defense (preferably with creatures as the towers!), and in games like Terraria i HATE playing any class that isn't the Summoner type. oof. Sucks to hear he's limited by the game though.. (it IS funny though how i learned about him through Cult Of The Lamb though and fell in love with his character just because he had the pettable trait and looked adorable-)
I usually play with my two friends - one a Wendy main, other a Wilson main and me a Willow main. It generally goes that Wilson main does the most work, Wendy farms monster meat and chooses the place of the camp, I cause chaos, die randomly and flirt with Abigail
hey i'm a very new player! me and my DST buddy have settled into wigfrid/warly, since we don't usually last long enough to set up a farm and feel the consequences of wigfrid's carnivorism lol. warly's cooking skills keep wigfrid's low max hunger topped off consistently, and her combat prowess lets her supply enough meat to feed herself and then some. all the spare veggies go to feeding warly. wigfrid is a very digestible character and i'm having loads of fun learning the game with her! i do hope to branch out more once we can consistently get through deerclops and winter, since we haven't even gotten close yet LMAO, some of these characters look really fun once you have a good grasp of them and the game in general!
I consider Wicker my 2nd main, my 1st being Webber. I'm atrocious at managing her sanity, but that's not the point here. One of my most memorable plays was diving into a random public server pre-rework and accidentally just acting in-character for Wicker. I was giving pointers, helping organize base plans, and crafting resources for the tier 1 science stuff that they needed. It really felt less like I was _playing_ the character and more like the spirit of Wickerbottom possessed my body for a couple hours. One of my other most memorable moments joining a random public server was picking Wicker and IMMEDIATELY getting kicked. I guess they expected me to be a tentacle griefer?
as a 3 way main between willow, wigfrid and Wickerbottom (mainly willow and wigfrid these days since wickerbottom doesnt have a skilltree still) you were dead on i love willow because the sense of supernatural abilities are something ive always dreamed of and i love wigfrid because she adds a challange in the form of learning meat based recipes and makes me feel like a tank whenever combat arises :) great video!

It's an absolute soul read it's insane
Me watching this video and remembering exactly the moment I never used another character
Wendy was my newb pick. Kept her until I accidentally died and then picked Willow. I now set everything on fire for fun.
Agreed. When im not maining wendy, I'm usually swapping to walter for a nice change of playstyle
Hi fellow Walter main!
Also a Walter main! I guess I chosen, because I like the sound he makes when he talks, I like having a little companion with me even better when I have Chester following me too. I really take advantage of the fact that he can’t lose sanity as easily as the others answer that he can help raise everyone sanity around the fire at night.
so glad to see another fellow walter mains around here! let the world see our rising, pioneers!
I played Walter once and that was basically what I found to love about him. Just the character's personality and unique outlook on the nature of the game was charming and refreshing, and therefore, worth it

Why the hell are you asking your teammates for help?)
On the note of a skill tree, I don’t really mind not having one, as Wicker has an endless amount of things to do, so there’s never a time where you’d go, "Yes, I need a skill tree to have an incentive to play Wicker again." I wouldn’t mind having a skill tree, but it’s definitely not necessary.
"Wormwood isn't as good at farming as people think"
His skill tree allowing you to make lureplant farms and a long-lasting portable light source that helps teammates: Am I a joke to you?
Anyway, if you can't tell, I'm a Wormwood main and you are absolutely correct about our need to feel useful, I'm not good at fighting but I will absolutely provide an army's feast with the right resources if I never have to touch a weapon ever again.
I'm a Walter main. I picked him up brand new to both ds or dst and my friend told me "He's hard, dont play him" but I did and enjoyed his downsides. I know now that he isnt really good, he's actually bad, but I still love him. My friend says his personality is carrying why he's been my main for so long.
Ikr! he is super amazing and the downsides just makes it more appealing

(Also I despise figs....fig flavor is fine tho)
Fellow Walter mains, where you at?

I like playing Walter because he offers cool gimmicks and new ways how to deal with different situations. Also he is one with nature - my favourite type of characters as well(Woodie also my number two).
My God... I'm a main Maxwell and I switched to Wickerbottom just 15 minutes ago... Stereotypes are earned, I guess.
I was a wickerbottom mean, then I obviously switched to Maxwell, then I learned that he’s a jerk and switched to Willow, but Wendy has a special place in my heart
You did not have to call me out like that on wormwood
for me I play wormwood because I find normal healing mechanics from food too overpowered, trivialising most of the game. being able to eat any food without losing health is also an interesting mechanic
and the speed boost from wormwood's blooming is quite handy too
him being allied to plants is also kinda cool but it pretty much only applies to lureplants... the new brightshades having no unique interaction with wormwood is such a missing opportunity from klei
generally I play solo and rush the ruins
bro just deconstructed me better then a licensed therapist
Now give me living logs 🔫😐🖐️
Wortox main here and spot on if i can say so myself. I just love to help friends learn the game and will pop up at random anytime one of them is in danger or starving with a fresh meal for them. And nothing makes me happier than being the ubber delivery guy of the server (even if i'm constantly starving myslef lol).
As a Wurt main, I agree. I often build my own empire and don’t mind waiting. Also she is adorable.
as a wilson main. i just love a silly little sceince man :) but yeah, i'm not a pro. i'm more of a nostaligic player, who played more ds then dst since 2014. and i love to just chill at the base, build it slowly, collect stuff, avoid fights. also still prefer to play alone then together lol
i'm a wilson main and everything you said is true lol, I love collecting stuff and staying safe, stocking the fridge with endless food.
that Wigfrid description was brutal, I main her because she's a Viking and I'm an archaeology student and it just makes me so happy to play as her lmao
an edit: Also really like webber, never got too indepth with them but they seem to be the perfect RTS type character lmao
okay but that woodie section read me so well LMAO ... good work
With the Wendy one holy that's hits home😂 I don't want to change wendy
I got a friend into the game recently, he hasn't watched a video in his life. First willow noob I ever met, but he really enjoys the character
letss gooo ! another awesome vid :)
I'll always love Woodie as my main because while he does not excel incredibly high in any one category, he provides so many different options for how to approach a situation. His transformations are all very efficient at what they do, but have appropriate drawbacks as to not make traditional methods obsolete.
As a Wilson Main, you actually spoke real truth, I'm not a true pro, I'm intermediate at best and prefer to play as the basic no downsides guy
Also, the alchemy tree that turns logs into twigs and spoiled meat into fresh morsels is super useful! The beard is also a plus!
I love these 😂 I’m like a mix of a Woodie, Wigfrid and Wortox and for my first main is “You like to be prepared” when I don’t even own a planer, make a grocery list and VERY often run out of things. That made me laugh so hard.
spiders are not insects theyre arachnids!!!
Wendy mains = roller mains from Splatoon. Medium skill celling and VERY easy to play
so shocked when you started talking about Wendy mains and literally was just describing my whole experience with this game
as a Wendy main, from the very beginning of the game until the end, I can definitely confirm that it is truly a noob trap.. and it's like a curse once you use her as a noob you will never ever be able to get off her ever..
As a Maxwell main, I can confirm that the reason why I'd pick Maxwell and the tidbit about wishing others were a bit smarter sometimes without feeling superior are extremely accurate.
Warly: i am. The kindest man, i am, the guy everyone wants around, i am the guy, wormwood if neaded, i am, the french.
As a Wilson main, you're right. I will never breach mediocrity.
I have a friend who walter mains-
They play Walter, because on paper, it seems they'd be the easiest- able to fight from the sidelines. They also love dogs, and have at least 2

You main Willow cuz you emphasize with her, I main Willow to be insane at all times and bernie. We are not the same. *adjusts my voices in the walls*
Wickerbottom is still the speedrunner's darling, especially in Shipwrecked, for the fast tech starts.
Warly mains are the homeowner's association of the server and will freak out if you mess with their kitchen and storage.
I'm a Walter Main because of his personality more than his playstyle. I just love the positivity and care for all creatures of nature.
I’m a W Warly knowing how to farm the best, and the best resources for cooking, example
2x big meat
1x Monster Meat
1x berry or any filler
Will make Meaty stew while saving you 2x big meat
I main wes cuz you don’t have to feed a whole bunch when sanity or hunger is low. Less is more.
Who needs fancy shmancy powers when you got *SCIENCE, and beard hair!*
You also forgot one key thing about Winona players: they hate dealing with Charlie
Winona main here... and you nailed it for me in real life, too. I will finagle anything in real life to cheese my problems. Well done.
Main benefits I've noticed as a Walter main:
Gobblers die in two hits of the Pebbles and don't run when struck, so when one shows up early they are actually quite beneficial.
I'm a Wilson main just because I think his sprite is cute, he looks like Dr. Frankenstein
I can see it! Though personally I get a bit of Herbert West from him
I'm a Wilson main and I'm proud to be a lawful noob and basic 😂.
Currently maining Walter. Ignore his slingshot, be comfortable being crazy, and enjoy a free Chester that can't be destroyed.

Wilson main here. Two thoughts:
Greetings from the Walter main. Where are my other 2 Walter main brothers and sisters?
What's the name of the mod being played at 18:10
Webber being the "summoner build" type of character for me is way more accurate than it had to be
My favorite game types are creature collectors, tower defense (preferably with creatures as the towers!), and in games like Terraria i HATE playing any class that isn't the Summoner type.
It generally goes that Wilson main does the most work, Wendy farms monster meat and chooses the place of the camp, I cause chaos, die randomly and flirt with Abigail
hey i'm a very new player! me and my DST buddy have settled into wigfrid/warly, since we don't usually last long enough to set up a farm and feel the consequences of wigfrid's carnivorism lol. warly's cooking skills keep wigfrid's low max hunger topped off consistently, and her combat prowess lets her supply enough meat to feed herself and then some. all the spare veggies go to feeding warly. wigfrid is a very digestible character and i'm having loads of fun learning the game with her! i do hope to branch out more once we can consistently get through deerclops and winter, since we haven't even gotten close yet LMAO, some of these characters look really fun once you have a good grasp of them and the game in general!
the reason i play webber is because i like having my little friends with me, especially if said friends are creatures such as spiders or bugs
