Tampa played like poop overall is the only reason leafs made it to the 2nd round, with their lack of overall effort like every year in the playoffs. They have small flashes of greatness BUT when the going gets tough the leafs lose the will to play it seams. Year after bloody year.
Not necessarily did Tampa give away that series. They knew how to beat vasy. They got outplayed forsure, but they knew what they were doing. Not so much the case against Florida 😂

Reliable guy - good for TOR. FLOR just got really hot - working/ skating really fast. Would be nice to keep at $4.5m x4Yr.. but hard for TOR to match as have 4 guys that are extremely money oriented; Marner, Math, Tavar, NyL 50m + Reilly 8m & Murray 5m.

There no more pressure in Toronto! The Leafs are a tiny mess!! This is why they lose, they have regular season sweethearts that turn coward in the playoffs. Trade marner and nylander a good gm could right this crap organization in a year or two. The expansion teams seem to know the formula! Teams like the New York Yankees and Real Madrid seem to handle WAY more pressure then the Leafs ever get!! Stop cuddling them! Teat them like men and hold them accountable! I mean when they play so soft they dig their own graves. People will always respect guys with good work ethic but they won’t always respect skill guys NOT putting in that hard work. Hence why you’ll still see Tucker jerseys, Domi, Roberts etc. Not the most skilled but the heart of those guys is not comparable at all to current leafs. Willie walks to the front of the net into ekblad .. Gets bodied .. Takes about ten minutes to get off the ice probably looking at the ref with a pouty look on his face as he GRADUALLY makes his way off the ice . This is but one example I could go all day on this team 😅 . No push back, no bite, they don’t even compete hard for pucks let alone the physical play but it’s also tied directly to the physical play BECAUSE THEYRE AFRIAD TO GET HIT. They won’t go in corners hard of course when they see Sam Bennett running around bodying Rielly, bodying their captain & NO ONE ON TORONTO CAN DO THE SAME. Oh sorry guys like Schenn, Accairi etc the lower down the lineup guys are expected to do all that. Well thing is most the time it’s your “Top players” out there who are evidently afraid of their own shadow 😅 .. You can’t win with such a gutless brand of hockey aside from power plays GIFTED to you. Guess what? They got MANY gifted power plays & still couldn’t do fck all. Pitiful on so many levels but probably the most pitiful is the fact after all this THE MEDIA STILL DANCES AROUND trading these over paid prima donnas that’s how delusional this fan base is.
