Stan Never built the Chicago Blackhawks. ( Seabrook, Keith, Hjarmalsson, Bolland, Bickell, Brouwer, Crawford, Kane, Toews, Byfuglien, etc. All Tallon had some aspect of drafting. Sharp, Versteeg, Ladd, Niemi, Sopel, Madden, and Kopecey, were all acquired by Tallon.) If you remember Rocky hired John McDonough as President. McDonough only wanted "yes" people. However, Dale Tallon was the GM and Rick Dudley was on the staff. In the 1st week, McDonough without contacting Dale Tallon, hired Scotty Bowman, in the 2nd week without contacting Tallon, he promoted Stan to Assistant GM. The following day Rick Dudley walked into the office and told Tallon he was immediately resigning. In the summer of 2009 9( After Tallon pushed for the Hawks to sign Hossa) McDonough dismissed Dale. Stan was an integral part of covering up the Kyle Beach. Stan did not care about Kyle he cared about his job and winning the cup. Stan was given a Red and Black Lambergiunni. He Scratched it with bad contracts, dented it with bad trades, and he ruined the engine and the tires with horrible drafting. GOOD LUCK.

Don’t forget that bowman got hanzus, Vermette and also Richard’s. Even he drafted Andrew Shaw. I still don’t understand why Edmonton hired him but he made good moves when they were contenders. When the hawks were not contenders he either had to move players because of the cap situation or made very poor contacts like the Seabrook extension.

There should have been 1 extra year in juniors and 1 year AHL. Jokahari. 1 year in Finland to NHL. Should have been 1 full year in Finland 1 year in AHL, Then 1 year up and down. You might want to add that there was an external impetus Bowman brought to Chicago, it was a cutting edge System that was still in its youth only being used to date by the L.A Kings. Bowman "found it" and the Hawks used it and they had help from the Systems creator....those were lightening strikes in LA and Chicago, either Team could have been a Dynasty had they been even one iota HONEST. Both Teams had people taking things for free and for granted, they became a substrate due to their methods.

Do Panarin-type trades and Jones-type signings scream success? 3 cups is no joke, but he was gifted the majority of players from Dale Tallon. They speak about how they’ve been friends for forever. This hire has everything to do with that.
It’s late July so it’s likely Draisaitl’s contract has been, or is close to, finalized by Jeff. He’ll resign in the coming weeks so Bowman can look like a hero and “win over the fans.” After a phenomenal year and first half of summer, this decision is so incredibly disheartening.

Bud, you just burned ALL of the good will you built up this off-season, in a single decision.
I look forward to the day you are both gone. Idc if this team wins the cup with this guy, like the Blackhawks did after he was gifted that team. I will never get behind this guy as GM of this team, and I'm sure I'm not alone, judging by the ratio of this video.

That is unfair for the fan base and it’s a bad look when he should have at least been assistant GM. I’m a Blackhawks fan, I understand that he did things good for my team but also he put the team in a bad situation. it’s not bowman that got the Blackhawks a dynasty it’s tallon for drafting Jonathan Toews and Kane and players that made a winning culture.
