When pulling in on the axel it is important to notice the timing that your free leg is pulling in. You want to pull in at the same time with your arms. Are your legs doing ok with the pull? I would suggest maybe when trying axels or even the walk throughs, put a skate guard, or a glove in your right hand when you are going through the exercises. This will trigger your mind to pay attention to the movement of the arms. Also practicing the arm motion/quickness of the pull in off ice will be helpful. On ice you might want to try doing backscratch into a single look with a guard in your right hand to just practice the motion of the pull in. Let me know how it goes for you! :)
This was helpful. My son learned how to do a single a couple weeks ago. He is 10. We need lots of tutorials for off ice training.
I have my axel but I still think these will help a lot! I'm going to add them into my off ice warm up!
Excellent tips! Never seen these exercises before & will incorporate them 😊 thank you ❤️
Thank you! 😊 hope you find them helpful!!!

Thank you for the video!!
Glad you found it helpful!
Dear Shelly, can you post some off-ice double jumps? Thank you so much.
I have serious problems with pulling in on the Axel. Do you have any tips?
