    • @TheCraftBeerChannel
      @TheCraftBeerChannel  3 года назад

      Great question! We tend to ignore BU:GU as there are so many extra variables so just aim for ibu by style then take the actual and perceived sweetness into account more subjectively.

    How much was the glycol chiller, that had to be more than the entire set up?

    • @TheCraftBeerChannel
      @TheCraftBeerChannel  3 года назад +1

      They are around £800 so about 1/3 of the set up. The fact they can be used with up to 4 fermenters (and they don't have to be Grainfather conicals any more either) means if you're doing multiple batches it makes a lot of financial/energy sense over lots of fridges!

    • @Brockdorf
      @Brockdorf 3 года назад

      @@TheCraftBeerChannel thank you so much, I am going to have to drink a lot more beer to justify that expense. Right now I ferment in a keg which gets ice cool down which costs $2 for 20 pounds of ice and takes 45 minutes to bring to temp. The hole theme though is a great idea.
