Truth! What a big pain! Thanks for posting. I installed on my 2007 Yaris, Starting and turning the upper bolts is nearly impossible. Anybody thinking about installing this hitch should have a sufficiently long ratchet box end wrench, which I did not. Forget torquing to spec, that's not going to happen so just get a feel for what 27 ft/lb torque feels like and shoot for that. And be patient - it's gonna take a while.
