LHI is Optum i just had an exam last month. was mt first exam in ~15 yrs and lasted 90 minutes and we only covered 3 disabilities. I have to go again for the other 3. I get my nexus letter today for PDD from you guys which should be 70% and 90% overall. once I add that to my file and get that official rating from VA I will file for TDIU. I am working with a vocational expert now and will add that to my TDIU claim. Once i get approved i will file for SSDI. 🤞
3 of 4 C&P examiners were not highly qualified for my examination. Two had credentials and qualifications from Mexico. One had credentials from India. They are trained & qualified by the VA. The VA trains them to put key words in their exam statements, “it was LESS THAN likely caused by their military service”. I received this on 3 exams. Their statement overruled my super professional specialized Doctors opinion that “it was MORE THAN LIKELY caused by my military service. One C&P examiner did do it correctly, she said that she knew what the VA need to hear to grant my claim, she said that she would make the exam statement where I would be granted my claim compensation. She did, and I did get my claim granted. C&P examiners should NOT be able to override professional/specialist doctors statements.
:08 Was at my VA medical appointment, gave the PA a print out from my C&P, told her I was diagnosed with a knee issue at a C&P exam and would like it added to my problem list. She looked at me all confused and asked "you were diagnosed with a cnp what in your knee...?" Not the only eye roller in the appointment, but at least I got three of the things I was there for and set the groundwork for another.
Wow, I didn't expect this misinformation from you Hill and Ponton! 38 CFR 3.159(c) (4) states VA will provide a medical examination or obtain a medical opinion based upon a review of the evidence of record if VA determines it is necessary to decide the claim. If the veteran has all the sufficient medical evidence then they can deny the C&P exam. I get cautioning veterans about going this route without the use of a professional service but don't just outright lie and say that will be denied!
The VA does not give you the C&P exam records. You have to file a FOIA request through your regional VA office. It took me 8-9 months to receive mine on a CD. The examiner contradicted himself, omitted information, and recorded information for portions of the exam he never even did. I had no idea it was that negative, so had no reason to contact the VA to complain. Now that I have filed a Supplemental Claim with a Doctor's Nexus letter, they have scheduled me for another C&P exam next week. I don't know what I'll do if the PA with 5yrs experience they have contracted to do the exam overrides my specialist with over 25yrs experience and says my problems are not service connected or secondary to my already connected issue. I guess request a Higher Level Review and wait another damn year to get seen and heard.
Favorable c & p exam from a physician assistant..at least as likely as not...not satisfactory to the va they got a nurse practioner to do an addendum to the c & p and give an opinion that is less likely than not...this should be illegal
I went to my P&C exam yesterday all he did was read off what my Primary Doctor and specialist has said I have from Pact act. No question on what happen during my service
I was just watching another video stating if you have a dbq filled out with a service connected disability you are not required to take part in a c&p exam"with sufficient evidence"
Exam for testicular cancer had a 15 minute discussion on residual conditions urinary issues and he Got rated at 0% got a copy of the file and they had mentioned nothing. 😠
LHI is Optum. QTC is QTC still

My C and P examiner was uninterested and rude, and could care less about all Ive dealt with and had a predetermined negative decision!

Many VHA Employee's are not aware of the VBA Aspects Like C&P Nurses and VSR raters diagnosing You with a medical condition!
Thanks ladies! That was very beneficial and easy to put into action!!! 🙂

Look at the OIG report about the VA employees requesting C&P exams for absolutely no reason. They don't even follow the laws that they are governed by
That what I was thinking aswell
I do know of a couple people who didn't go and still were awarded 100% but I'm sure that's rare. Also one of the people was a va claims rater
If your C and P examiner is not caring and uninterested in you, you're just screwed!

Hire an VA Disability attorney, they use case law to fight for you, Berry Law are great at it, if you don't use these folks on this page

EXACTLY!!! What kind of crap are they getting away with
VES is one also
Any advice on a good way to get the results that the examiner sent to the VA after the exam?

Will the VA get a transcript of the entire exam or just the dbq filled out by the doctor?
What about a prostate cancer exam, will they even do one if they have all test results
Nice tips thanks
I had a c&p exam back in July, and have and haven't heard about my leg results?
Exam for testicular cancer had a 15 minute discussion on residual conditions urinary issues and he Got rated at 0% got a copy of the file and they had mentioned nothing. 😠
I am still waiting for a c & p exam
Veteran Evaluation Services
Yeah they suck. Actively tries to have your claim denied.
Where is the link she described?
I wanted that link too!
wrong, I have been a no show, and the claim was processed. and not denied.
You got lucky
You got lucky idiot 😂
I would not advised others to be no show. If you got your exam, make sure you go to it or have a video exam if your conditions allow it.
C&P yeah
Cat & Pony Show
Doesn’t sound very equitable - 10 min exam vs 1 hour … smh
