Ms Bledsoe was a big part of the best sitcom ever. Favorite Vanessa moment was her and Robert at the Halloween living room party. Her, theo, and Rudy the only kids to be on most episodes; Sondra and Denise bounced in and out.
People forget the episode where Cliff and Claire turned the couch to wait for Vanessa. Jeremy needed her. 🤣🤣🤣

I remember in the 80s Bledsoe who is only a couple years older than me was my hero. Ppl even said I looked her back than til every Thursday night I would wait till after the Cosby Show went off so I can style and wear my hair like her at school on Fridays😂and crazy part I was also in love with Daryl Bell back then so til this day she is still the coolest Cosby Kid to me😂😏🖤

Yea Sondra was the least memorable Huxtable kid but her character brought Elvin. Elvin "women should be in the kitchen" mindset brought out another side of Claire. Classic TV

@@andrepayge Well I liked Sandra's character. She was the most adult, more level-headed, and focused of the kids. Her character was pretty much already an adult when she first appeared, so she would not get into juvenile, pre-pubescent, and adolescent hijinks that her other TV siblings would get into. Sandra's character arc focused more life after college and starting a new life.

I enjoyed all of the Huxtable children. Vanessa, Rudy and Theo were the funniest children, but Sandra and Denise were interesting as well imo. The more chill and laid back , so created a more realistic dynamic.

Vanessa consistently wore her hair natural. Maybe a press and comb, but never some sleek silk press permed look.
They were all natural on the show, various textures, all beautiful, including Rudy and Olivia. No one wore their hair bone straight. Yes, Clair had a roller set but her hair was natural too. I love OUR hair! So versatile! Silk presses on healthy natural hair are beautiful too!
I cannot think of which TV show this is,not even today,the adult Tempestt Bledsoe said she never for the most part wants to have permed silky straight or any silk pressed hair.Even when most directors of movies/TV shows want black women to have that kind of hair.

I just feel like she was misunderstood. Not a bad troubled child but treated like one just because she made mistakes. I could relate to the character because I did the stuff she did but sometimes I felt like I was the misunderstood black sheep of the family because you're struggling to live up to your family's expectations even though you mean well.

Nothing can match the Cosby Show episodes. The actors, the writing, and Bill Cosby himself. That was then and the present is simply the way it is. The actors became famous on that show and have never made it elsewhere. Please don't tell me how wonderful Lisa Bonet is. She was wonderful on that show and the adult movies she made, are already forgotten! Don't compare her to great actors, she is not one of them.

The Cosby Show is still the greatest Black sitcom in my eyes. It has positive Black representation, comedy that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, and addresses important topics with class and intelligence. Say what you want about Bill Cosby, but don’t act like that show isn’t pure Black excellence.

I hated Vanessa's clothes and hair styles on The Cosby Show. They used to have her with the ugliest hairstyles and the weirdest clothes. Denise was dressed dumb too but not like Vanessa.
