That's a great improvment over EZKeys. It took me quite a while to write something with EZK1 and moving all the notes to Lydian or Natural Minor with ableton (who has a similar highlight feature).
This will save me a lot of time and sweat !
Cant wait to see how the ezkeys midi packs I have will behave with the changing scale feature !

EZ Keys 2 is super product. I fully agree with fellow musicians for adding the capability to make your own scales (select or deselect notes) that will will open up the rest of the world especially India. The Indian raga system is pure scales (>3000 ragas) as also there many world scales specific to various cultures. The list of chords that appears under From Scales should also be expanded (can be auto determined) to include all possible chords within the scale like sus chords etc (if they are applicable). Secondly, it should have the option for varied ascending and descending notes in a scale for example pentatonic ascending and hexatonic (6 notes) descending and show corresponding chords separately. This variation is the central to creating moods inherent in scales/modes or the raga system. Hope the idea gels with Toontrack.

Finally. I have waited years for EZKeys to get the functionality like EZBass, EZDrums and S3. Looks like it will be a Scaler 2 killer. At least for me.

@@tendingtropic7778 you choose the scale you want to work with and it only allows you to draw notes in the chosen scale. Great tool if you don't know music theory

I do have a question for Toontrack:
When are you going to release a Hammond B3 keys instrument and midi?
Seems to me that this iconic instrument get way over looked by nearly all plug-in companies.
The midi for this instrument is even more scarce.

THIS version of EZkeys (EZkeys 2) actually feels usable as opposed to the first version which didn't do a thing for me... in other words I feel like I wasted my money. With that said, I feel like EZkeys 2 is something that I WANT to use. Hopefully there's an upgrade discount.

Hey friends, this is all wonderful... but I have always been an EZKeys user for the instrument, without the functionality of the grooves or midi. Since this is, at it's core, a musical instrument, can you please at some point discuss the sound itself, what piano it is, what mic positions and velocity layers you're offering? Can you do one on the SOUND of your instrument please?

@@alexandar5253 yes, I was just hoping for a video on those things, the way there is for the other features. It’s just a little funny to me that there are so many videos that Toontrack released already, but none of them about the sound of the piano itself.

This is really confusing. In the bottom transport bar, I can only set the scale mode to major or minor. I am trying to integrate ezkeys output into my DAW project which is in phyrgian. While I can select songwriting scales I cannot do a groove replacement of my chord progression which is in phrygian and I can't get ezkeys to output the groove replacement in phrygian. It's really frustrating how all composition tools treat scale modes as an afterthought. I need to be able to set phrygian in the transport bar of ezkeys so I can just output everything properly - not have to convert everything from the major or minor scale which breaks a lot of stuff and is tedious to fix.

Can you apply these to the groove editor? Example: G harmonic minor, applied to the groove editor? Closest I can see is G minor
Hi! EZkeys 2 only supports major and minor project song keys, meaning the project song key that you can configure at the bottom of the interface in the transport panel. We will let our development team know that you were looking for more song key options.
Will all these functions work with third party imported midi files ? Thanks 🙏🏻
Is it also possible to visualise the chord progressions in roman numerals? as is usual?
