Thank you Jason. Your tutorial fills in just about all of the blanks for EZkeys 2 practical application. I've been using EZKeys 1 to write songs for about 6 months, and I love it. As soon as the promo for EZKeys 2 appeared I pre-ordered and began watching videos to familiarize myself with its abundance of features. Soon as it was released I began tinkering, but I became a bit overwhelmed. Your easy to follow video has really helped get me past the amazement, and get to work. 😃
If you are looking for a good B3 sound there are many good choices in the market, EZK2 is focused on the composition world, so compose with it and route the midi to the virtual instrument of your choice. Best regards.
Agree 100% … love everything from ToonTrack …. I also have IK Multimedia (everything, and they are memory hogs … I mean HOGS) … the B3 is good for IKM … but if ToonTrack would develop a great B3, I’d purchase immediately … ToonTrack NEVER disappoints … PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE develop a great B3 package!!
Jason, just found your channel - “TOP SHELF” … great communications skill, quality of production, and most of all incredible substantive content … looking forward to visiting this channel more often … GREAT WORK … thank you so much for sharing!! - Donnie SC
Literally not impressed at all. The piano sounds like a Digital piano. Copy drag works on a whim. I mean just trying to drag 1 part to copy it either; just doesn't copy, or you have to drag it out of touching the previous chord and sometimes that doesn't even work. ACtually it doesn't even work. Pull in a part from their library, there is no handle. Then maybe you want to grab 1 bar to transition. You can't. Copy drag a whole section, unselect, reselect, nope. Do it again yep. AS the chords are sectioned into parts the entire midi element is not. And you can't just select that bar either because the entire midi arrangement is tied together. And this is kind of the point being able to build quickly in the editor and it doesn't even work. I get the Piano Samples aren't going to be great compared to what else is in the wild, but these kind of remind me of the samples on the old digital uprights. Just bland. There is no way to turn of the Effects either and the Noise of the piano is tied into the FX so if you want to turn off the reverb you have to DIAL it out. The reverb isn't very strong, doesn't have a lot of of character. Even trying to contact Toontacks to let them know of bugs isn't even possible. I guess they have went the forum route and these simple functions that were overlooked is just standard practice. I had high hopes and even preordered it. It is a 2 out of 10 at best.
As someone that's been using FL Studio and top VST's for the last two decades, I 100% felt the same way. I saw your comment and was happy to see someone keep it real for once! I think this VST is marketed more towards people that use the computer to play their electric pianos etc. but not as much by actual producers that record and release music? Perhaps I'm wrong. But that's the vibe it gave off for me personally which sucks because at first I was interested. I'm getting bored using the same few pianos in Nexus that I've had for years, and the same pianos from the Alicia's Keys plugin within Kontakt. As he went through all the so called "different sounds/samples".. they literally ALL SOUNDED THE SAME except for some basic effects only making them feel a bit different. But the piano itself seemed 99% the same all the way through.
@@Mista808 Oh yeah. The NI, IK and Toontracks just don't have the realisim for me. By far my favorites are 8Dio 1928 grand, 1991 grand, East West Platinum pianos, and there is one from chocolate audio. Pryiat Pianos for some dirty corky stuff. I have like 60 pianos.

They need a Hammond B3 upgrade now EZK2 released. It’s been missing in their instrumentation for years

There are loads of good B3s out there but I would like some soul and funky B3 MIDI grooves

It's nice to see I'm not the only one that still likes the old Cubase 8.5.
Thank you for the video. They finally adapted the format used in EZ Bass and SD3. Looks great can't wait to try it.

OK, fair enough. BUT ... the graphics of the pianos in the sunlit room are very nice and relaxing. So you can always just look at those...
