this album got me through one of the hardest break ups of my life, i was 19 years old and was being cheated on by a girl i thought i loved she would lie to my face and it was just to unhealthy. i started drinking every day and i was so depressed, i lost weight i could not sleep i was a mess. This album gave me the inspiration to change career paths, start my own company, i eventually started eating and sleeping normally, moved back in with my parents temporarily to help get sober and now im a new man. Now im happy, i make more money, got my own apartment, a big truck and a dirtbike, thanks WEEZER!!!

normally success stories from listening to an album eludes me but for this one i can actually understand
To me this song was the sign of a new fantastic era for Weezer. Everything Will Be Alright In The End made me hopeful that Weezer was going to be good again, but with the White album it was confirmed that Weezer could be just as good as ever any time they wanted. And now we have OK Human to prove that not even Blue and Pinkerton are safe at the top.

To me Pinkerton was their most underrated album for many years and criminally under appreciated. It was almost just swept away with criticism by fans back then, but I loved it.
Now though? Pinkerton is getting overrated. It's a great album, definitely one of their best. But the best? Nah. But that's just my opinion because when I listen to Weezer I'm looking for Nirvana meets Beach Boys, and Blue and White deliver in spades in that regard. While OK Human reminds me of Weezer's answer to Nirvana's Unplugged album, and I love that to death too.
I also recognize people listen to Weezer for much different reasons, and that's why Pinkerton, Maladroit, and Everything Will Be Alright in the End end up being rated so highly, and I can appreciate that too.

I think the video is about Weezer rediscovering themselves throughout this album. After seeing all of the memories of the white album songs, he realizes where he really is, and digs himself up.
I fucking love this album.

The intro and the "Ooowheeeeeoooohoo" vocals during the chorus are so amazing! 110% Weezer. No other band makes you feel that way, with such beautiful melodies. They can bring a tear to your eye. Geniuses!!

This song came out when I was six, and it always fills me with this hopeful feeling of nostalgia. Weezer was always there when I was at my lowest, and its part of the reason I have such a love for rock music. Thank you, Rivers, for everything.

I'm cool with the Damn Daniel. In the context of the song, it applies to them perfectly. They're beach kids from California who love to surf and have fun. Is it a bit cheap? Sure. Will it be dated in a week? Absolutely. I don't see how it ruins the video though.

this makes it a bit easier to accept. pork and beans was another music video that featured lots of dated memes, and it's viewed very favorably now as a time capsule for early 2000s pop culture, maybe in a few years we will look at this in the same way

I actually giggled at the damn daniel bit, mostly because it felt like rivers who was in his 40s at the time of this album is trying to act like the cool kids but fails miserably.

The whole point of the p and b music video is viral trends, which mixes really well with the song being about selling out. This one just feels extra and forced.
I appreciate that it feels like Weezer's music has grown up with me as much as I've grown up with Weezer's music. Man, Cuomo's voice alone is enough to invoke a lifetime of memories - good and bad - and I've got to say, thanks for keeping me company all these years and thanks for a great soundtrack.

I've been listening to this for about 2 weeks because it leaked and I think this is the best weezer song since Pinkerton. I really love a lot of post Pinkerton stuff, so this is a big achievement.

Can't wait for the album. Already obsessed with the songs released so far!
Not only is this a mix of the videos but it feels like a mix of the vibes from the songs we've heard so far. For example, after the first chorus, in the background you can faintly hear distorted guitar whines like in Do You Wanna Get High. The overall song has a similar feeling to King Of The World but both the sound and lyrics seem more in depth. I think Rivers portraying all these different characters of California relates to the summer of hanging in Cali that this album is based on and how he found himself in all these different people he met. They showed him their lifestyle and the lyric "if you're up all night, thinking about something you did, the California kids will show you the sunshine" as well as the "California kids will throw you a life line" really represents how he learnt to let go of these problems and just be free in the sunshine.
I went a bit in depth there and I'm not good at deciphering things but I think I'm actually going to take a break from my video style to do something about this. April 1st couldn't come sooner.

How are they still so fucking good? I can't get over how long they have been in my life and they still can put out an album that is on the same level (if not better) as the first one I ever heard from them when it came out (the Blue album). I heard Buddy Holly on the radio and went to buy the album right away and was blown away from start to finish.
