+GoGetta49 "Come to My Pod" is a song from Weezer's aborted rock-opera Songs from the Black Hole in which Maria suggests she and Jonas can go to her pod and get stoned if he's down for it... I'd say the chance of @ZyxthePest's comment not being a reference to that is minuscule.
The thing about the fuzzy, crunchy guitars and the theramin-esque sound that echoes the melody is that it adds a level of texture that Weezer is sorely missing in most of it's non-pinkerton stuff. It makes everything after Maladroit feel very disposable. You listen to it a few times and you're like, "alright. I've heard it. I know how this all goes. I don't need to listen to it again."
Wow! Nearly tears in my eyes and a lump in my troath....beautiful song, this is the talent and quality of Weezer they had lost after Pinkteron...I feel the emotions flowing through this song.
The most sincerest thank you to Weezer to transporting me back to Pinkerton days... I know it's not exactly like that era, but I almost cried hearing this for the first time.. Amazing
Saw their show w PATD and took my grandfather because he’d never been to a concert and wanted to. He started not feeling well just as Weezer came home. Of course I took him back home but I was slightly heartbroken
I first came across this video on the week it was released. I was on LSD and the image began to melt. I thought it was me at first. The music is a gem.

+raiden-aiden12 or River's first solo album
+Graham Ryan I think he means "Point Of Death," meaning he did not like this song lol
This is my favorite official post-Pinkerton song. Easily. Love the vibes of this performance!
one of the best weezer songs, and I'm anti-most new stuff and die-hard old stuff.
*looks away from video about 10 seconds in*
*looks back in about two minutes*
._.
Wouldn't mind a whole album like this .
Pinkerton II
I had given up on new music.. this kinda renews my faith. Thank you for this
That bridge though... Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.
*screams at 3AM*
"CUZ I'LL NEVER GET TIRED OF YOUUUUUUU"
Literally me last night 😁
it's 3 am and i'm doing exactly this
Discovered this song while high, and thought it was pretty good. Now I'm listening to it while I'm not high, and it still sounds pretty good.
I played their song playlist and I originally thought this was part of their older album but nope, it merges so seamlessly with their earlier work.
one of the best weezer records ever
I can’t get high very often anymore because of work and life in general but this song always reminds me of the good ol days
Reminds me of "Moving Out" by Billy Joel. Good shit
Dom's Sketch Cast how does it remind you of a completely different genre of music
Well for one it’s the exact same chord progression and tempo.
litterally the same chords, i couldn't listen to this without hearing billy joel
There's no way it's just a coincidence.
Good ear
OKAY HOLD UP!!!!! DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THIS @ 2:54 ........ thats the fucking pinkerton cover. That shit was planned dude.....
I know!
+Ethan's Workshop just the general pattern not the actual cover.
+Ethan's Workshop just look at the whole thing. The album art melts away into the same shape as the mountains in the pinkerton cover art.
+Gavin Peterson i think were grasping at straws on that one.
i dont think so, no doubt that it is very vague but that is no mistake
@2:15 => Pink Triangle. I love it!
The most sincerest thank you to Weezer to transporting me back to Pinkerton days... I know it's not exactly like that era, but I almost cried hearing this for the first time.. Amazing
That bass tone, that crunch, that interesting lyric work, that Weezer! It's all here, baby.
GREAT SONG, HOPE THEY REVISIT IT SOMETIMES IN THE FUTURE
I've been obsessed with this song tbh 💖
This guitar solo is what depression sounds like...and it always soothes my troubled soul.
I miss this revival era so much. God, this changed my life and filled me with good ol natured hope
Saw their show w PATD and took my grandfather because he’d never been to a concert and wanted to. He started not feeling well just as Weezer came home. Of course I took him back home but I was slightly heartbroken
i miss the white album era all of the songs were great and this song is a perfect example why
I love the drums damn
I listen to this from two perspectives, addiction and depression. The second one I sense a lot when listening to weezer
Pinkerton FTW, was top 10 best albums ever..this bonus track just adds to the glory..
I first came across this video on the week it was released. I was on LSD and the image began to melt. I thought it was me at first. The music is a gem.
The most consistently good band there is...
I wouldn't say consistently... they gave us the Red album.
"Can't stop partying"
In every Weezer album (yes even the "bad" ones) there are at least a few songs that are awesome
VarynDar true, let it all hang out and if you're wondering if I want you to(I want you to)
Numb Mind raditude. that is all.
that beginning had such a big Pixies influence sound to it.
The main riff/progression also sounds very close to Billy Joel's Movin' Out...
1st time caller , long time listener lol = )
This hits home.
This sounds a little Pinkerton-esque...much better than the last single!
+Don Beck Thank God For Girls wasn't that bad man
+Jesus A. The lyrics were awful, cleverly phrased, but awful...and it didn't have a punchy chorus, otherwise the instrumental was pretty cool
+D00MGamer I disagree, I'm not a fan of the lyrics in that song at all. They're just too immature and weird
+Don Beck You have to go *deeper*. They're silly on the surface, but look at what they're saying as a whole.
+Don Beck weezer's always been immature, it's what made them so special in the 90's. i do and will always love them for that. thank god for girls was different but wasnt a bad different like raditude or make believe.
Weezer is really making me happy, I missed this vibe
*looks at cover art* me: i wish i was high*looks at cover art again* voice in the background: you have two more wishes
Best new song I've heard in a while. Maybe it's the same old Weezer formula, but this is the finest specimen of the species. Love it.
Good to hear a familiar sound again. Sounds like the old CD's. Love it.
Can't wait til the music video comes out, assuming there will be one
This song just rocks. The best song of The White Album. Sounds like Pinkerton.
I'm seriously addicted to this
This is so Weezer. I can't stop listening to this. They're this good 20 years later. Weezer and Pixies forever.
This song is so great. I can’t stop listening.
