This version of Aurora lives rent free in my mind forever. The way Everyone looks at Taylor towards the end. So heartbroken to this day over the loss of Taylor. It was the best sound I’ve ever heard. See you all in LA. Probably the saddest concert ticket I’ve ever bought.
Watched them live last night in Manchester and this song hit home massively, came home from a night out tonight and said to my wife "I need to dance with you to a song" had a weird feeling that I just had to, slow danced in the kitchen with her to it and it was all I needed ❤
"It is definitely one of my favorite songs that we've ever come up with," Dave Grohl said. "Lyrically, it's just kind of a big question mark, but the words sound good and it's a nostalgic look back at Seattle and the life I once had. That song actually questions the meaning of life, probably. It's probably the heaviest thing I've ever written."
ROOKTABULA ,Is there ever an end to you clever, cheecky, stirring, haunting lyrics; let alone the amazing driving rhythms, and tender melodies wouldn't't be interesting to see if the genius and the bside blulady could make a song that last even close to those you've done "alone"
Every time I hear this song I get tears in my eyes. Taylor's spirit is all around this beautiful song. In 11 days it will be a year since we lost him. I just can't believe it. It still hurts like hell. R..I.P. Taylor Hawkins. You are so very missed
Their best song, The most sweet riff, And most wonderful ending of a Foo's song...my fav *(Everlong doesn't count...that masterpiece it's amazing, And always The number one )
I saw them in August of 2021 in st. Louis. Told my girl I know it isn't one of their most "popular" songs but I'd love it if they did play it. I about shit myself with excitement when they FUCKING PLAYED IT. I'm one of those dudes that does NOT get excited about things. I flipped the fuckout and I'm glad I had that moment to hear my fave song by my fave band. R.i.p. Taylor you made this song what it was and I understand why it had that significant meaning to you.
I watched this show when it was live on tv and its what made me fall in love with the foo fighters. 2011 in Sydney, goat Island 💓 back when they were promoting wasting light.
It's an incredible performance. 5:40, the mood. They're so in sync, and even Pat looks like he's having a religious epiphany at 6:02. He just keeps staring at Taylor. My gosh, Hawkins. You truly were one of a kind. Felt it, conveyed it, and made us feel it, too. And one more thing on the visual side since I'm at it, 5:22. The look he sometimes got behind the kit was just out of this world soulful. Pure emotion, and he channeled it into music. Thanks for this video.
I was at the concert, and contrary to what everyone seems to think, EVERYONE there was a massive Foo Fighters fan, with the exception of maybe 10 or so others. I knew the words to every single song, including the album (and it hadn't even been released yet). Don't question our loyalty. We are, and always have been Foo Fighters fans forever.
i love this song so so much. whenever i listen to it i start tearing up, it stung especially bad this time since it's been almost one year without Taylor 💗💗
+Werner Heinsen Yeah I was thinking of Arlandria too but I like Aurora and Rosemary. Imagine having 3 daughters named them Arlandria, Aurora and Rosemary and introduce them to Dave!
Got to hear this a year ago and was both surprised and blown away by it.I had no idea until then this was a special song to Taylor,I just always loved the song and wasn't expecting it. I had seen them 4 other times and never heard it before, but I guess first tour after his passing.
To David, Pat, Nat,Chris, Rami and all the families and everyone who makes incredible shows like this possible. Many thanks,Happy Holidays, take care be good to yourselves and each other and then come up with some mind blowing, meteoric earg***mic maybe a tri/record.A an acoustic B.b.side/shreddy C just fun, covers, things you've already been demo said and for one reason or another said no before, but hey its going to be 2019 almost 2020. Thats when David drops his hat in the bigger hat........love you Foos, and the partners, wives, husbands friends, families that share all of them with us.Really grateful.Peace
My all-time favourite foo's songs ever. I like the relax feeling of it. I like the head movement that Dave Grohl makes all the time. All throw out the song. I can't stop humming the first part of the guitar riff. It also makes my head go from left to right all the time. When listing to the song. Pat Smear the impact on his facial expressions 🤣 Is absolutely brilliant I wish they could write a part 2 to the song or. Use it as inspiration for an other song
I love the interviews with Taylor Hawkins about this song....he's very proud of his performances......in his cute sheepish way he goes " yeah......that was totally me" ;) This is my favorite Foo song :)
how infectious is taylor.....godamn i wish he didnt leave this planet so soon
Talk about underrated/unheard song
Greger Haukelid lol underrated it's one of the greats.
He means underrated because they barely ever play it live.
That's what makes it special.
This song is hard to play live
Yes! And Fraternity
Taylor Hawkins said this was the song where he finally felt comfortable recording in the studio with Foo Fighters
Taylor on drums... Another level. Aurora wouldn't be as good without his craft added to it.
Dave says this was the first song they finally clicked as a band.
...and it shows!
This was his favorite song. Love you forever, T.
@@Juan________S12 Dave confirming this 3 days ago at the tribute, beautiful.

I agree. The way they vibe together is magic. So glad this was recorded and captured those moments. Pat was loving it.
It was the saddest ticket I've ever bought, but the show ended up being one that will live on forever. Nothing like that will ever happen again.
That intro is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard
Hell to the f@ck yes
Me as well…so much.
Watched them live last night in Manchester and this song hit home massively, came home from a night out tonight and said to my wife "I need to dance with you to a song" had a weird feeling that I just had to, slow danced in the kitchen with her to it and it was all I needed ❤
Best song off their best album..

Sean Wilkie Agreed!! I thought I was the only one who thought that was their best album. And song.

This song wasn't on The colour and the shape. Still it's nice to remember when the Foo Fighters were good....

They just leave speechless. I really have no words to describe what his band makes me feel. They're great.

R.I.P to Taylor, he always said this was his favourite track.

I love the melody of this song, one of a kind!!
Taylor’s favorite song! ♥️
AURORA always has been and always will be my favourite song.
Same
I love the look on the faces of the crowd at the end. Looks like they think "OMG! We just watched a real magic..."
Pat gazing back at Taylor with pure love❤️ One of, if not the best Foos song.
My daughter is named Aurora. I sing this to her all the time.
I've been listening to Nothing Left To Lose everyday in my car
💔❤️🎶😢

So happy for you. What a memory.
I love you Taylor . You’re one of the greatest rock legends. You’re my hero. Fly on Taylor.
I miss you forever, Taylor.
If ever Foo Fighters were to compile an album of their best songs, this has to be there.
Greatest hits
They already did and it's not on there sadly :(
Goosebumps!
And the last song of every Foo Fighters compilation album should always be Exhausted!
Andy Gibson SG sameeeee
Taylor’s favorite song.
Sweet soul. Your essence is amongst the stars now. You are so loved and will be so missed, by all of us. 🌹
That face at 7:17 explains everything
Mert Birdal You are damn right kanka!
lolz YEP he got it
@@burakcolakel4644 Hell yeah kardaş

Yes indeed
Taylor and Dave are so in sync it’s crazy! I am addicted to this band. Long live great rock n roll !

Always have my favorite foo song, Skin and Bones forever, and then I heard this...4 yrs running.
Performances like this are why Dave is an amazing musician/writer and he really knows how to build a band
Dave's favorite song!
Also one of my favorites from There Is Nothing Left To Lose.
Me too
Taylor’s fave, too…and mine, as well.
Love this song. We miss you Taylor ❤️
this song is really beautiful but when played live its sounds like magic
That outro though! AMAZING
Generator got me into these guys, aurora kept me there. They don't make bands like these anymore... #outofthisworld
i love this song so so much. whenever i listen to it i start tearing up, it stung especially bad this time since it's been almost one year without Taylor 💗💗
My heart skipped a beat when Dave sang heeeeell yeah instead of chopping it up. :)
Haha true I'm fine when he cuts it up live but it's better when he doesn't
Sounds way better that way
One of the best Foo songs EVER. Awesome performance. Taylor and Pat looked so happy playing this T_T
If I ever have a daughter I will name her Aurora
+Werner Heinsen Yeah I was thinking of Arlandria too but I like Aurora and Rosemary. Imagine having 3 daughters named them Arlandria, Aurora and Rosemary and introduce them to Dave!
+Luigi Moreano My good friend named his daughter Aurora, 6 years old knows every lyric. hell yeah, remember Aurora.
My thoughts exactly
I regret not naming my daughter Aurora...
Bender2497 You can always change her name...
dave grohl is a genius! only the foos couldve written a song like this so beautiful, yet still have alittle bit of hard rock
I love how pat Dave and Chris all played the last notes together, that sounded insane!
It's amazing how confident these guys are. They always have each other's back.
My favorite Foos album:) Fantastic song. God Bless Taylor.
A very underrated song! Love the use of the delay giving that trip main riff sound.
This is how you play live music. People seem to forget how to put passion in their songs, not these guys.
Best band playing in the best country in the best location......
There is nothing left to lose is my favorite foo album
What a beautiful end of a very beautiful song!
Best Foo Fighters song ever!!
This is my fave song off of Nothing to Lose
This is the most beautiful song by far! That "Hell yeeeeah" it´s just amazing!
Taylor Hawkins outro. thank you for the person who suggested it in a comment.

I LOVE that there is more "Hell.....yeah" instead of "Hell, hell yeah" goin' on in this performance.
Unreal....this IS music!
Go ASAP! They put on one hell of a show! Saw them in Salt Lake City.
I love that guy in a white shirt in the beginning! He is so excited!

The Foo Fighters know how to make music as beautiful as it can be.
This song is by far my favorite Foo Fighters song.
