Yeah! It was probably one of the most memorable gigs I’ve been too. It sent shivers down my spine. My partner who accompanied me but wasn’t a fan of the Foos pointed at the birds flying as they were flying to me as the song started even cried abit there.
Very emotional. Was fortunate enough to see the Fooies in Geelong in what ended up being Taylor's last performance here. That night will always hold a special place in my heart. Fitting tribute.
yeh man! i was standing behind this camera i could believe when the seagulls came out in the dozzens acrros the stadium.. was a goose bump moment literally! RIP legend Tayloy Hawkins!
Thanks for posting. I feel like I was standing not far away from you. This was definitely a special night. Very spiritual had shivers when the Birds flew. & the way Dave looks up. Just couldn’t of been more special
I wish i couldve seen anything at all, when your short it sucks. aami park is not a very good venue. Wish we had a concert hall in melbs. I dont know why concerts are played at sports stadiums its a joke. Slash is gonna play at a tennis court, gee. Walk of shame to the city planners, what are you doing! Dont get me started on the sound dont even think the speakers worked up the back. The only good thing was dave. Glad this was filmed so i can actually watch it.
Really? I feel your frustration, but if you are GA, you are free to strategically shift location. If you are seated, then you should be ok? Lots of us are short, and improvise...No matter how tall you are, you will end up behind a 6'10" basketballer! Murphy's law. I was under the impression that Melbourne is the up there with the best when it comes to stadia/indoor venues. If u think it is poor there, come to NZ, you would piss yourself laughing at the state of our facilites...
Yes, we all loved Taylor and may he rest in peace. But you gotta move on. Josh is trying hard enough to get out from under that shadow without it constantly being brought up.
I don't think he sees it that way. I don't think he sees himself as "the new foo fighters drummer", especially this early. He has been with other bands, he has an extensive career. I'm sure he's happy to help the guys continue after T's passing. I'm pretty sure he's not thinking about himself and just wants to help and be part of this rebirth.
You gatta remember homie that Dave not only lost his bff, four months later, lost his mom, who he was incredibly close to. He’s also had to grieve publicly. Just cause the guy did it once before in 94, doesn’t make him a pro. ❤
it was crazy that the birds flew right over as soon as the song started. WHAT A CONCERT. RIP TAYLOR- he was one of those birds

How long did it go? Perth went for 3.5 hours!! Right up there for me, my fourth FF gig. Chch x 2, Auckland, Perth
@@gregbooth1551 About 2 hours 50.
It was magical, there was something spiritual about the whole night.
@@gregbooth1551 went for 2:45 hrs
I was at the back and I saw it...
Unreal, happened again tonight, halfway through the song a lone bird just flew straight over the stadium, one side to the other ❤
Wow! Taylor is always around watching!

Can see why he loved this song as a drummer!
It was the first song they ever made as their current lineup at the time. Before that it was a mixed bag. Maybe other reasons but that's what I heard.
@@Dust80It was also the song that made Taylor comfortable playing in the band
Also my favourite FF song, love it. RIP Taylor.
Me too! one of my favourite!
I was there it was amazing
Crazy amazing evening with Foos!
Also one of my top Foos tracks. That album is so damned good. Foos are doing amazing remembering Taylor while still moving forward. Mad respect.
the "Learn To Fly" tone as Dave strums along in the beginning , yep that's it.
So good to have you all visit us in Australia, thanks for the time
So GREAT!!!❤💙❤️💙❤️💙🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🦅🪽✨💫
Thanks for watching! :)
Thanks for posting this, and thank you for the clean video. FF never cease to amaze!
My pleasure! feels great to relive the moment watching them perform!

@@therealwilfreddierkes9980 Yup, just like Kids do not come with "instruction manuals", neither do "farewells" 😞
Disagree. I think they are doing a fine job moving forward.
