I'd love if jerma would just secretly start playing the game, and over the span of two years just drop hints about it and then just stream it one day with a extra extreme song on 100% being like. " Yeah baby. im Jermin' Jerma "
Hearing Jerma say he liked Meltdown was absolutely surreal considering it's one of my favourite songs and I've listened to that song thousands of times since I was a kid and played it until I got Excellent for each difficulty on this game.
I HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE AHH!! meltdown was the first vocaloid song i truly became obsessed with, after years of casually listening to a few of the more popular miku songs as a kid. i literally got so excited when he said he liked it lmao
There’s something about watching an almost 40 year old man with a jawline sharper than a kitchen knife playing hatsune miku project DIVA mega mix that you can’t quite get anywhere else
1:52:56 is some of the tightest and cleanest vocal chopping I've ever heard. This stream really opened me up to some music I never would have heard otherwise, good stuff!
i feel if most people could get past the whole “blue haired anime girl synth” they’d discover something they like in vocaloid. insane to think about sometimes that these songs are essentially just “fanmade”
@@Skwadley esp cause there’s so many real people covers that you don’t even have to actually listen to the vocaloids singing to be into vocaloid. A lot of the big name vocaloid producers have been breaking into the wider anime demographic by making ops for animes too! And a lot of them just make their own original songs that they sing too. So it’s so much more than the blue haired girl and I just want people to appreciate how amazing this community is
i can't believe this is a real stream this is one of my favorite games ever i'm so happy he played it. seriously if you enjoy rhythm games and haven't played this game i highly recommend giving it a chance. it's the best arcade rhythm game imo
@@coconuto7 I also have the same problem with the project diva series, but the project mirai deluxe game on 3ds actually fixes that issue if you're ever interested! The letters are clearly visible since they're always on top of a lighter colored circle instead of right on top of the background
another comment I wanted to say: he played through this entire game for 2 and a half hours only using one hand. he only used the D pad to hit doubles and multis. he never used the d pad to do holds
@@GhostMan407 It is, actually! The song was made at least a year (not entirely certain myself) before the meme, but the version used in the original nyancat video just used a version covered/sung by a different synthesized voice.
I forgot how big of a meme Popipo is. Miku singing "We are vegeterian!" While trying to force her big blue (vegetable) juice down your throat is amazing. Couple that with Jerma's "popipo" almost made me spat out my coffee
I wish mega mix kept the diva rooms, would've loved to see him play around with those. Also seeing Jerma and my boy Kaito on the same screen is cursed and great
the difference between Vinny and Jerma is that Vinny would require a $100,000 charity goal just to speak this game's name while Jerma just does it and rolls with the pure anime bullshit.
(Warning, semi related tangent) Yeah, I love Vinny but I hate how stubbornly he'll go out of his way to ignore some games or series, he purposely decides to have this weird stigma about some series randomly. People meme about the whole Undertale scenario but while the beggers and fandom were very irritating to say the least I hate how he makes things awkward whenever someone just mentions the game, look at the clip of him playing that Egglike where he finds an Easter egg of Devito cosplaying Spamton, he doesn't think much at first but as soon as he sees chat say it's a Toby Fox reference he starts acting really weird and doing over the top mocking voices. The series would've been right up his alley considering how much he adores MOTHER, and while I respect he doesn't want to play the game I wish he'd just treat the series with some normal respect instead of making everything uncomfortable everytime it's mentioned or makes a cameo (see the Deltarune Switch announcements) He can be a similar way about anime and other styles like this often, despite the fact he watched boatloads of Pokemon as a kid and played tons of heavily Japanese JRPGs like Chrono he acts like he had never touched anything like it until he recently watched Akira (which he did as the "loss" of a bet) and he acts like it's super weird for an anime character to talk in a cutesy voice or say some tropey words yet at the same time he's constantly talking about Snake being a ABDL or Kirby being used as a fleshlight. Sorry for this rant, Vinny is a great streamer and I'm fond of him but since you mentioned that aspect it just got me thinking of how much I hate the way he acts like that sometime, either play the game or don't, don't make it a awkward will I won't I where you pretend to be forced to. Though on the other hand Vinny DID play Orc Massage on his own volition a mere week after discovering it's existence, so I guess there's some, unusual, exceptions to that trope of his. (The TiGirl is top tier BTW) Sorry for the rant, just got my mind flowing and felt like putting it into words.
I’d recommend Jabroni_Mike in that case- he’s the drummer for Vinny’s band, and he seems to have much more tolerance for things like Undertale, Deltarune, and JoJo’s than Vinny does.
@@governor_explosion I've started binging Mike lately and my god he's a glorious degenerate, he makes so many weird crass gags but I find it hilarious. Definitely my new favourite of all the vinesauce team, very underrated, I'd place him on a similar level as Jerma, guys hilarious.
@@Spodumene He’s a little more reserved with guests out of politeness, he can get very filthy (and loud) on his own. Him and Rev have been talking about anime periodically.
I'm glad at the very least, around 15k people give or take found out first hand that hatsune miku games aren't some girlfriend sim visual novel, but just a glorified music video gallery with rhythm game gameplay
I feel like chat was trying to troll Jerma with the song choices, but he keeps on surpassing his human limits to achieve clears. Apparently his Rhythm Heaven training finally paid off.
i love how overwhelmed he got at some of the songs tbh. this is not in a "haha sensory overload" way more of a "that is so relatable because i Too lose my shit and feel overstimulated by some of these songs."
I've been a vocaloid fan since childhood and it makes me really happy that he never has a condescending tone even when it's about something that he knows nearly nothing about ("I thought Miku was a real person until a year ago"), or just comments on the difficulty of some songs which is understandable to anyone. I also really like that he asks the audience what song they want (he played most of my all-time favorites too).
this stream was really entertaining to watch, and honestly Jerma did a pretty good job for playing this for the first time, even if he didn't know the D-Pad could be used as well
Jerma saying he’d be mad over not being able to dance at a miku concert is exactly why I NEED nightclubs or bars to start doing vocaloid nights for the love of god. I just wanna jam the absolute hell out of vocaloid songs!
okay but chat trying to help jerma with the song name "rin-chan now" and jerma temporarily mistaking it as chat just suddenly and unanimously making vague demands about rin was such an underrated moment lmfao 2:20:23 but seriously like other people were saying i'm really glad he gave this game a fair chance and seemed to be enjoying himself at some points instead of making fun of it or rushing through it. i did a double-take when i saw this show up in my recommended and i had so much fun watching literally the entire time. for never having played it before he's pretty good too haha :'D

the fact that this exists reminds me of a dream i once had where i was at gamestop by myself and jerma was the only employee there and i was trying to get this specific version of project diva called "project diva: jerma version" which was just the same game but with jerma in it and it was so sought after that they had to put a special lock on it. and so basically i had to go up to jerma and ask him to unlock the thing but it was on a wall with other locked games and i forgot the name of the game mid sentence so i kept stuttering (think "the uhm uhhh um uhhhhh") and the store was gonna close in a few mins anyway so instead of me buying pjdjv (project diva jerma version) he took me to a room full of different cardboard cutouts of various video game characters. one of the most notable ones i remember being there was sans, and i think i bought that one??? or at least almost bought it, since i cant remember much of the part right before i woke up. but yeah weird dream, wish i could have bought it and played it in the dream i think it would have been neat.

Hearing Jerma say he liked Meltdown was absolutely surreal considering it's one of my favourite songs and I've listened to that song thousands of times since I was a kid and played it until I got Excellent for each difficulty on this game.
I HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE AHH!! meltdown was the first vocaloid song i truly became obsessed with, after years of casually listening to a few of the more popular miku songs as a kid. i literally got so excited when he said he liked it lmao
jerma fr fostering our parasocial Relationship. 😊
FR I LOVE THAT SONG SO MUCH
He's a miku MANIAC fr.

I love when he says "it's the last one, i promise!" and then proceeds to play 3 another ones
Just like me fr
Why did he unprompted pick extra extreme unhappy refrain? What feral instinct was pulling him to play that song
It's a banger
I love Dramaturgy and never knew there was a Miku cover. But when I was watching this live I got whiplash when he called it "Dermatology" (33:46)

@@kawaii33366 no literally. makes me so happy to see people getting into vocaloid, as adults, in 2022, the year of our jerma
i feel if most people could get past the whole “blue haired anime girl synth” they’d discover something they like in vocaloid. insane to think about sometimes that these songs are essentially just “fanmade”
So it’s so much more than the blue haired girl and I just want people to appreciate how amazing this community is

seriously if you enjoy rhythm games and haven't played this game i highly recommend giving it a chance. it's the best arcade rhythm game imo

@@coconuto7 I also have the same problem with the project diva series, but the project mirai deluxe game on 3ds actually fixes that issue if you're ever interested! The letters are clearly visible since they're always on top of a lighter colored circle instead of right on top of the background

Me too
I wish mega mix kept the diva rooms, would've loved to see him play around with those. Also seeing Jerma and my boy Kaito on the same screen is cursed and great
New desktop background for me tbh
Jerma playing rock paper scissors with a vocaloid would've been hilarious to see.
Also KAITO supremacy!
But those were from project diva x not from future tone, which mega mix is basically a port of lol
@@HeyItsNovalee OP said they wished they kept them on Megamix.
@@HeyItsNovalee Every project diva game prior to future tone had them
the difference between Vinny and Jerma is that Vinny would require a $100,000 charity goal just to speak this game's name while Jerma just does it and rolls with the pure anime bullshit.
(Warning, semi related tangent)
Yeah, I love Vinny but I hate how stubbornly he'll go out of his way to ignore some games or series, he purposely decides to have this weird stigma about some series randomly.
The series would've been right up his alley considering how much he adores MOTHER, and while I respect he doesn't want to play the game I wish he'd just treat the series with some normal respect instead of making everything uncomfortable everytime it's mentioned or makes a cameo (see the Deltarune Switch announcements)
He can be a similar way about anime and other styles like this often, despite the fact he watched boatloads of Pokemon as a kid and played tons of heavily Japanese JRPGs like Chrono he acts like he had never touched anything like it until he recently watched Akira (which he did as the "loss" of a bet) and he acts like it's super weird for an anime character to talk in a cutesy voice or say some tropey words yet at the same time he's constantly talking about Snake being a ABDL or Kirby being used as a fleshlight.
(The TiGirl is top tier BTW)
Sorry for the rant, just got my mind flowing and felt like putting it into words.
I’d recommend Jabroni_Mike in that case- he’s the drummer for Vinny’s band, and he seems to have much more tolerance for things like Undertale, Deltarune, and JoJo’s than Vinny does.

Rin Chan Now felt like a crack fueled fever dream.
the fact that this exists reminds me of a dream i once had where i was at gamestop by myself and jerma was the only employee there and i was trying to get this specific version of project diva called "project diva: jerma version" which was just the same game but with jerma in it and it was so sought after that they had to put a special lock on it. and so basically i had to go up to jerma and ask him to unlock the thing but it was on a wall with other locked games and i forgot the name of the game mid sentence so i kept stuttering (think "the uhm uhhh um uhhhhh") and the store was gonna close in a few mins anyway so instead of me buying pjdjv (project diva jerma version) he took me to a room full of different cardboard cutouts of various video game characters. one of the most notable ones i remember being there was sans, and i think i bought that one??? or at least almost bought it, since i cant remember much of the part right before i woke up. but yeah weird dream, wish i could have bought it and played it in the dream i think it would have been neat.
