Excellent work as always Jamie love the use of a “ multitude “ of products for filling etc that all work , and the “clear parts “ work you have done 👍👌
Excellent stuff. ASK, they are in Liberec, Czech Republic, where I live occasionally, when not living in Devon. Excellent company and nice guys to do business with. Love your channel, even though I am an ex pongo.
Hiya Jamie. Loving how this is looking already. Your prep work and attention to detail, returns dividends at the final reveal. And that's the difference between a nice model and a stunning model. Always a pleasure watching and listening to you build mate. Thanks for all your vids this year, looking forward to next year already! H😊ppy new year! Take care 👊 Bobby
Great work as usual Jamie. I have started using CA to fill gaps on fuselages, and find it much better than using any fillers. Not used it to actually join the halves -that might follow!
As a young air cadet in 1978 on camp at Church Fenton, I spent a week on night shift on the flight line strapping pilots in and out of JPs and starting up with Hootchin. Also marshalling them out and in... wouldn't be allowed these days.
Ah, Fenton. That place was impossible to find from the air until you were on top of it then you wondered why it was so hard to find, we accused Air Traffic of turning off the cloaking device at the last minute every time! Once my mate panicked and joined Elvington by mistake!
I started using Ultra Glue recently (inspired by your videos). It is amazing stuff. Strong, slow to dry, easy to clean up with water and dries clear. What more could you want? I'm so glad to get rid of the faff and ugly glue marks of superglue (not to mention sticky fingers and bottles drying out!). My superglue is now only reserved to gap filling and seams!
You did a great job with what is an Airfix kit. So much filler and sanding shows for it's size one to avoid. Just goes to show Airfix are years behind the likes of Tamiya. Airfix just can't raise the barr at all. They will never lose that Saturday morning buy a kit for your pocket money of a ten bob note and get satisfaction. I don't think Airfix will ever raise their game. A company of the past backed by model builders who can't see past their childhood.
It's not much filler, I probably went overboard just to be on the safe side. The latest releases certainly have raised the bar, this year's new toolings were really nice.

Each has it's strengths mate!
Great work as ever Jamie, I enjoy watching the amount of care you take in your process, always shows on your finished builds.
Thanks Dean

Thanks mate, Pongos are always welcome, just as long as they've not got dirty fingernails!
The only positive from the old, light blue soapy old Airfix styrene is that it carves nicely with a sharp blade. That's about it.
Fact!
Great kit. Build 3. 7 in the stash. Deatailed the fuselage with scoops and antennas under the wings.
7! Awesome
Great build Jamie and in my scale 1/72 just goes to show how much detail you can add in 1/72
I think you'll like my forthcoming book then...!

Thanks mate. Give it a go, I recommend the black stuff as it is more supple and less brittle
