    Great Job!
    You made a remark, "I put Flat Varnish over the interior paint. I know it's Not right, but it looks cool" NEVER MAKE EXCUSES for What you do to a model!!!
    We build for US Not anyone else!
    Yes there are individuals who Judge others on HOW a model is built. To them, I'll Pray for you.
    Keep up the Great Work!!!

    Hello mr. Spruemo!the Tempest was one of my first modells I have ever build.i was not aware of contacta or tamiya quick setting. So the glue came out of the tube and i did a mess handling that gluetube.and i left fingerprints everywhere all over the intire modell.i had a lot of modeling fun.that took place in 1994.i had no spruecutter or skalpelblade.but mamas Kitchenknive and papas toecutter.ohh those happy childhood days.with best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian

    Love leaving these videos on while I work. I did get a little confused with the way you said the word decal. I've always heard it pronounced "dee-cal", so when I heard "deh-cull" it made me stop and look.
    I will check out your other stuff. Cheers!

      @@MrGibsn1960 Glad you enjoy my work!! And yes it’s a bit confusing lol. When I was younger I always used to say “dee-cal” but the more I spent time around other modellers in my local IPMS community I started to say “deh-cull” as habit 😁

      @CanadianSprues I totally get that. In the late 90's I started playing 40k and picked up a "tie-rah-nid" army. I think people let me say it that way for a couple years before someone pulled me aside. It's hilarious now.

      Thank you!! From what I’ve read, the series 2 tempest had different cannon mountings and overall seems slightly more advanced/improved :)

    @28:32 Wow, you made the pilot a top ace with 26 confirmed kills... none of the 7 Aces of Britain credited with 26+ kills was flying the Hawker Tempest, the highest scoring ace with the Tempest was Squadron Leader David Fairbanks from the Royal Canadian Air Force with 11 confirmed kills and one kill assist (shared score).
    I don't know how historical accurate you want to be with the paint on the model, but the "grave crosses" you painted (with the longer vertical bar) as kill markings in front of the right side of the canopy were never used as kill markings on fighter planes to my knowledge, most common were swastikas for (confirmed) downed german fighters. Rarely the straight bar cross ("Balkenkreuz") was used instead of the swastika as a marking, but if so, almost always as a symetrical cross with white outlines in the edges (search for "Balkenkreuz" in the german Wikipedia for visual variations used in WW II).

    • @CanadianSprues
      @CanadianSprues  Месяц назад +2

      @@40hup Close! Going by the history that I had read from the included information on this marking scheme, those “kill markings” are actually supposed to represent V-1 bombs. Tempests were used to take down V-1s and instead of a single pilot being credited for the kill, the 26 notches refer to the amount of takedowns the aircraft itself had achieved. Also, I didn’t paint them on, it was a decal that was specified for this version here :) (JN803)
