- I tried to repair an old model of an American Sherman M4 tank. It was the most widely used medium tank by the United States and Western Allies in World War II.

I would have left it in it's rusted state and build a beach diorama depicting left over abandon tanks on the beaches of Tarawa World War 2....but you did an excellent restoration job, good enough to be driven in a Memorial day parade.

I don't think so. The problem is that the titanic actually has real rust and real damage. He only "fixes" fake rust and fake damage he created. He has excellent modeling skills, but that is way different than actual restoration skills.

watch this guy work; he does actual restorations, he fixes actual damage and corrosion, and he fabricates actual missing and damaged parts. There is a huge difference......

Among all the works that I have seen carried out on this channel for one of the best or the best has been this one, you can see the effort and dedication that the person behind these great restorations makes to make them work again and are better than they were before.
A Tank of War I must suppose that it was a great challenge but with the final result I am speechless and I give a star to this work that shows how it turned out after a fierce combat and now it is ready again to go to war.
I know this is 10 months late but this is a WW2 M4 Sherman produced between 1942 to 1945 49,234 were made during this time period.
Quite impressive how you are able to turn back time on such these small things. It brings me joy to see these things have glory once again. Thank you.
I also believe I have the same model of tank, you have gotten it almost directly spot on, so congrats on another successful restoration.

Dude buys new toys, disassemble it, take pictures. Then put it back and destroys it (burn, smash etc.). I say that because all his vehicles looked the same destroyed / overly destroyed to the extreme. He then « restores » it and put up a video. And everyone believes it.
Your words are true, but, this tank model dates back round 1960's. Even I got this model, it's now a collectable item which you cannot find in both online and offline store.
This guy is luckey enough to find one.

Not quite like that. When I was a kid, I found some abandoned toys in the ground and they looked pretty much ok. He probably uses some sort of acid to make metal corrosion. Also, he disassembles the toys before the acid, so that only repairable parts would be damaged, unrepairable will only get dusty.
@@AbledProduct265 Nope. My bet is that he uses chemicals to quicken the damage. Every model he "restores" looks like this one.
@@ID-8491 very good theory to be honest a man like him would probably do that. As someone else said he burries the toys but leaves the pieces that can't be broken but need to be on the toy to dust on his shelf in in a few months (possibly years) he get them back and restores them that's what I'm starting to think

These types of videos are always so fascinating to me because I imagine these things in apocalyptic settings and it just fits so well I imagine it in the middle of a decaying city and it just looks so cool

This makes me think of some videos of someone finding a tank submerged in a swamp. And then hauling it out with heavy vehicles. And stripping it to be restored in a museum.
There actually was a German Panzer hauled out of a lake in eastern Europe.

How in HELL do you keep track of all those parts? Just looking at all the intricacies BLOWS my mind - then you put them back together! How do you know? You are INCREDIBLE!
It is easy, just take pictures with your cell phone before taking things apart. Very useful with electrical wiring.

That toy tank really went to war, like literally. Salute to all the crew who operate this beast.
The m4 Sherman saw service throughout ww2 and the guys who operated them had balls due to them having thin armor and a main cannon that couldn't penetrate front armor of a tiger 1 tank and could only penetrate back armor and sometimes side armor and was a very easy target for German foot soldiers and tiger 1's, it would take more than 6 m4 Sherman's to take out a single tiger 1 until the Sherman firefly was put onto the field with its upgraded 76mm gun that could penetrate tiger 1 armor more better than the standard 75mm gun but still had the same vulnerability of thin armor not to mention that if the ammo storage was hit the tank would blow up killing all 5 crew members. Sherman armor was at least 76mm thick. A tiger 1's armor thickness was at least 100mm thickness and having a crew of 5 with a 88mm gun. The guys had balls of steal and alot knew if they faced a tiger 1 they had a high chance of being another kill mark on the tigers gun barrel

@@elibarker201 its literally all facts lmao and its common knowledge if u know your History, everyone knows Sherman's where weak and where easy targets and that it would take more than 6 shermins to take out a tiger 1 until the firefly was made and with its 75mm gun, Tiger 1 ace was taken out by a Sherman firefly by penetrating the right side of the tiger which a normal Sherman could not do
@@kamash581 ok first of all, it didn’t always require 6 shermans to take out a tiger, that’s dependent on multiple other factors, like is the tiger being ambushed, or are the Shermans driving towards it and face it head on. Early Shermans had 75s, the later ones had 76s which were the much better gun. Early Shermans if lucky or from the sides and rear could still kill a tiger. Late Shermans with 76s could pen tigers from the front at closer ranges. Also tigers were rare, and Shermans weren’t and they didn’t encounter them a lot. Finally you said they couldn’t do anything until the firefly was introduced. Well no, the firefly was a British and Australian version of the regular early Shermans with their own 76 gun in them. Idk where you get your info or how old you are but just look some info up on Wikipedia about the Shermans history and variants.
