I just bought an ex-ozpost bike! I went out and trimmed back the bushes around the letter box when i started watching this. My local posties thank you. ✉️😂👍
@@aussiewantok You did. I went looking for tips on riding the ct110, watched your video, and released i was making it hard for my local posties. Chainsaw and pruners out👍😁
Two annoying types of letter boxes. Vertical boxes with thin spring loaded flaps and small terracotta log shaped boxes with slops too small for even standard letters.
Shallow wall/fence mount vertical boxes with flap on the front face, bolts inside catch anything you try to put in them, and anything that's not bendy also doesn't go in them .
Try that with small parcels that are too big for the front letter opening ..😄 Too bad you wasted more time going back to the same boxes than you might have saved with the no stop, slow speed letter posting..😏 Stopping gives you enough time to 'safely' double check the mail to follow, so as not to miss any attempting to check them on the fly, taking your eyes off the path of travel..😉
Mate, it's FNQ, angled gutters, not many inaccessible letterboxes, some vicious dogs, not much traffic, mainly sunshine As a part time gig, it's OK. The work will never runs out, until they start using drones ;-)
@@aussiewantok, Just started postie & parcel work in my little inland NSW town, in the Southern Highlands. Streets are hilly, grass paths get muddy & slippery on rainy/snowy days, and the letter boxes are all over the place, different heights, some hidden in or between trees, and sometimes in different streets than their address shows.. makes it interesting.. lol
Not really, one guy went off at me cause I rode over his freshly laid lawn, he had a good point there. Another moved his letterbox to the curb, and the rest of my customers were pretty good about it. It is far north Queensland, things grow overnight here
Yeah definitely not what to do, but we all do it sometimes to entertain ourselves. I was a contractor motorcycle postie as well, good job but i was on abn and only getting 6hrs pay for doing over 8hrs a day so i left
Much harder at the start of the day when filled to the brim with mail. Do they still use those old scanners for the mail to do safe drops and all that.
With some of the new parcel boxes I'm sure the customer wouldn't mind if you just dumped their pizza inside xD I mean it might not look much like a pizza when they go to get it out but it fits right
thanks for the laughs mate. good work
@@ianjohnston7211 I'm assuming you might be/have been one of those cogs in the machine...
You make it look easy, brilliant. It would be a train wreck if I tried that...!
Thanks mate, "we deliver", hahaha

Figures getting caught, hahaha
Reading while riding eh?
I’m pretty sure your manager will appreciate it that hahaha
Anything to get the job done 😊
There's plenty of rules they "should" be following, and then there's getting the job done
And this was done when we had the census? I recognised census mail in the first part of the video.

It's just a challenge, to see how long you can go without stopping...

Nice little vid 👌
Hey mate, if your still working for AusPost, can you do an update?
Mate, I finished Dec 21, twas a nice job, but I've moved onto packing live tropical fish...vid out soon.... seriously
Reading and riding. Tsk tsk.
hey mate do you take the postie bike back home or do you leave it at the facility?
We used to leave them at the sub-contractors house. I believe all that work is sub contracted out these days
Do you not get told off for going across everyone’s lawns?

i love your job very much..I heard some dogs barking
@@Hữu-Nhân-2024 it was a good gig, ;-)
I have ptsd from all the junk mail they made me do.
It's dominoes for dinner every night!😂

It's a little bit like that, I've left
Uncertain start hours, uncertain duration of shift
Hard to do another gig around that, for that money.......
Have u tried the e bike. Are u allowed to use Google maps on your phone?
Do u have to sort the mail or its already resdy for u?
It's already sorted, and I think I used Google maps like twice when I first started. It was an easy job ;-)

Yep, the size of a mobile phone. I've lost mine a couple of times, had to backtrack, hahaha
If only I could do this with pizzas lol
You cannot pick the anchovies and than deliver, that would be not 'professional'

Are you contractor or directly employed by Aus post
Contractor/casual, pay per hour
@@aussiewantok same here 👍🏼
I deliver on an electric bike and yah... similar thing.
3 wheeler?
That a nbc110 I think
Let's call it a scooter...
Yeah the NBC110 is the later gen model of the older CT110 postie.
It's It's Honda C110x
I thought ct110, either way fuel injected, single. Reliable machines, people do world trips on them...
więcej o rosyjskich ciągnikach proszę
Is the bike automatic ?
4 speed semi-auto, no clutch
To be specific it does have a clutch, it’s called a centrifugal clutch :)
why are you only showing us half of the job? what about sorting? your bike technique leaves a lot to be desired
Yes , yr right again, been riding road since 86, no accidents. Bad technique, inappropriate,
Lmao shut up bro you probably crash into a stopped car and blamed it on them. The dudes just doing his job
are you reading and riding 🤔🤣
