I've never had lumpia with coconut. Most lumpia has bamboo shoots, minced meat, and some other thinly sliced vegetables. And fresh lumpia will have some variety of sauces from sweet and sour to peanut sauce based.

Im surprise this ladies do not know why buco pandan is green! Its green because of the pandan leaves. Its basically buco juice , flavored with pandanus leaves. Amd since its difficult to extract the pandan leaves juice, its incorporated to the gelatine, thus its green! We have to know what we are selling, right?
Lumpia and "Fresh" Lumpia are 2 not really the same, Fresh Lumpia uses something like an egg crepe and is uses a specific peanut-gradlic sauce, regular lumpia is fried and uses sweet and sour or sweet and spicy sauces

we stayed in BGC Uptown side for 3 weeks and we just got back 4 days ago and man we are missing Philippines so much especially food prices, everything seems so expensive now that we're back 🤣

the modern part of dhaka like gulshan and banani still far far behind from the looks of not so modern part of MANILA, BGC and Makati alone is utra modern than the western major cities.

You can grab a quick lunch at a bistro, enjoy casual dining for dinner or spoil yourself at various dessert shops.
High Street Café, Voted as one of the best restaurants by most visitors in BGC, the High Street Cafe serves a variety of authentic Asian food.
Mercato Centrale, If you’re after a different vibe and want a quick bite, visit Mercato Centrale in BGC. There are plenty of street food options and you can casually sit in the public areas to enjoy the snack.
It's nice to see my home city featured in vlogs. It's so nostalgic. Christmases along Ayala Avenue was a magical light show. Hung out in Glorietta, Starbucks 6750, and Greenbelt, Legazpi and Salcedo, Rockwell, Jupiter, Makati Ave.. we were surrounded by malls and parks. I'm reminiscing lol.. I like BGC but Makati will always be home.
Worst traffic in the world, LRT MRT also one of the worst for cramped and long queues. Many plastic particles detected in the air of Manila. One of the highest electricity and gasoline cost in ASEAN/Asia. The price of goods are exorbitantly high in most high end malls and only normal/affordable in some low end ones/dirty street markets. Too many slums just a few hundred meters from these 'fancy' areas. Malls are boring in terms of design and lack uniqueness. Buildings are generally dull and ugly except some cathedrals. Kidnapping is rampant. Terrorist groups sneak around waiting for assassination opportunities. Crime rate is high. You don't feel safe walking in most parts of Manila. Most 'fancy'areas either prohibit public transports from entering or lack/far from public transports to prevent the entry of poor people. The fanciness is really skin deep and every high end malls are like duplicated. Residence units are smaller than most countries and selling/rental price are higher than most ASEAN countries. Food is generally bad compared to neighbouring countries. Lack of tourism spots and mostly under maintained. List is not exhaustive from the view of a foreigner who lived there for a year or two.
