That's the gimmick they use to get you to watch. Sex sells! They make you think the video contains something sexy that you might be interested in, then show you anything but sexy material, leaving you to wonder what was really behind the sexy story you thought you were going to see! - LOLOLOL 😂🤣
Was a fantastic show but did you know that they cut out little bits of the show on reruns so they can fit in commercials. They also time compress it a little for the same reason. The show is still funny but even better before they cut those out. Buying it on DVD probably avoids that problem.
I've noticed many videos do the same. They have these pictures (are they called thumbnails?) But when you go on to the site you never see the scene originally depicted. It's stupid really because often that is the reason you went on in the first place. Cannot see what the gain is as I never press like or subscribe if that happens
1:18 "You can clearly see a curtain on the left side of the screen" That is not a "curtain", that is a coat rack, as any fans of the show would remember this episode opens with Carla looking for Cliff's coat in the rack, then hands him a lady's coat, but Cliff is too scared to argue with her and takes it. 6:39 That was not Norm's wife, that was a girl that Cliff picked up, they danced all night and he had a second date with her, where they both show their faces. The episode that Vera was seen in was the Thanksgiving episode at Carla's home, Vera walks in at the end, after they got in a food fight, and Diane throws a pie in her face.
My favorite is when Woody Boyd played brilliantly by Harrelson is at the bar with Diane and Norman and Norm has to call Vera to tell her that at a dinner she didn't pass muster and Woody says maybe she couldn't reach it. Diane then pulls him aside to explain it and his response to her is just as funny as what he said. Just a brilliant character.

Wikipedia includes "Bar Wars IV" as an alternate title and I believe that some of the home video releases call it "Bar Wars IV: Cheers Fouls Out." I don't know of any way to know for sure what the official title of any Cheers episode is because, unlike many, if not most, TV shows of the era, Cheers episodes never display the title onscreen.
My favorite of "Cheers" was always a two-fold thing: Ted Danson, such a hunk of a man! The other was the theme song of "Cheers," it always stuck in my head for a while after it was played... both at the beginning of the episode as well as at the end of the episode. "Cheers" was one of the best sitcoms of it's era. Thanks for bringing back good memories, Facts Verse! 👍🤗
OMG - been a student of film and tele long time (no longer) and never heard of a picked-over actor coming back to propose his own character - a role so perfect! The bar's know it all, Cliffy! Must be done all the time! No different than actors improvising a scene.
So many memories of this show! And Cliffy has got to be one of my favorites! So glad he pitched his idea. Nothing about Woody though? He was a great mid-season replacement for Coach.
SO THAT'S where, one of my Nephews got the idea, to try out my Sister's dog training collar, on himself ! We thought he was trying to frame her before CPS, because she wouldn't let him do something else, STUPID !
I really have three favorites. The first when Diane came in with Sumner. The second would be Rebecca Howe's first episode and the third would be the one where Sam straightened Coach's picture. I did know a couple but you schooled me well on one of my all time favorite shows. Thanks.
George Wendt’s wife played the role of the woman in the Halloween mask but she wasn’t playing Vera, she played a random customer who fell for Cliff and vice versa. But yes, she played Vera in other episodes.
Thanks for the minutiae. FYI, some of your points can be cleared up without even looking at the screen. Just turn up your volume, for any episode, it's there at the beginning of all of them "CHEERS IS FILMED BEFORE A LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE".
Coach (answers phone): Phone call for Ernie Pantuso. Sam: That's you coach. Coach: Speaking. Coach was the greatest laughs in the show's history (no offense Woody).
greatest Cheers episode had to be the Thanksgiving edition where the whole cast went to, I think, Carla's house for dinner. When mealtime came around they hd a massive food fight. What a hilarious episode
@thomasdowns1117. That's close but my fave was from Season 1 when Diane's mom visited. She was played by the late great Glynis Johns, a real coup in casting. Too bad she never re-appeared. Love when she so innocently says to Sam "Diane has told me about you. You're almost as handsome as she says you think you are." The look on Sam's face was priceless.

Woody replies, 'Funny you should say that, Dr. Crane... that's Mothra... they're trying to figure out how to kill it.' 'Why don't they just throw a big wool blanket over the city, and when it comes in to land, zap it!' Or Frasier having a dream about Woody becoming President... and blowing up the world.
Sam; "Hows it goin, Norm?" Norm: "It's a dog eat dog world Sammie, and I'm wearing Milk Bone underwear"🤣 It's been almost 40 years and i still remember that one. And a few others.😉
I dated a lot during those years everybody talked about Cheers. Drinking was part of the lifestyle too and the characters in my personal life were reflected by those in the bar. Cheers was a great show. All the characters were unique in their own rite. Cheers is pretty much true. I worked in a nightclub and I have pretty much all of those characters.
Too many favorite episodes to list. When "Rappin Sammy" became a sports caster for a bit was a killer. Rapping about a 'groin pull'. The Wade Boggs episode. The bar rivalries. The Hungry Heffer.

When watching Seinfeld from inside Jerry's apartment looking at the window there are 8 squares of glass when they show the outside looking at the window it has 10 squares, just fun sometimes spotting little things
I believe you are talking about John Fiedler, a noted character actor. He appeared in dozens of TV and theatre releases, two of his most memorable for me was in the original Star Trek where he portrayed Mister Henguest of Rigel 4, and in an early Alfred Hitchcock show where Fiedler is a homicidal multi killer ( Leon Gorwald) whose identity is concealed until the end of the show. Oh and I'd be remiss to not mention him with Art Carney (as an imbibing Santa) in a Christmas episode of the twilight zone.
'Cheers' bar was established in 1895, when building and fire codes were different. Thus doors that open inwards rather than outwards would have been Grandfathered in. I know of at least one small town Pharmacy/restaurant where the doors open inwards and where my mom worked in the 40's, so the Laws governing door opening direction hadn't been put in place yet. Less of a 'Blooper' and more of a History lesson.
"'Cheers' bar was established in 1895" It doesn't affect your overall point, but it was 1889. 1895 is a number that Carla made up for superstitious numerology purposes when Sam had the Cheers sign made (watch season 8, episode 6: "The Stork Brings a Crane").
I watch this whole video so I could see Shelley Long in that sexy outfit, but it was nowhere in the video. It’s on the icon, but I was very disappointed.
I think the Narrator was talking about Comedy shows, not dramas. What cliffhangers did Hapy Days ever do. Like maybe how Richie's older Brother- Chuck- was kidnapped by Extra-Terrestials and the E.T's were so powerful- they erased everyody's Memory of him as well as any evidence of his existence.
think of this, Rhea perlman and danny divito were actually married. Imagine the conversations between Carla (the barmaid) and Lois (the taxi dispatcher) if they were married
Facts Verse always does this. Puts a racy photo up that is never in the video and they never even mention the subject. As soon as I hear this guys voice now, I turn it off. He lies for clicks.
Since you've discovered that the Men's and Women's bathroom door signs magically switch locations, did you bother to see if it was possibly done intentionally? Ex: If Sam had to use the bathroom, it would make sense if the Men's room was closer (to waste less time watching him walk over that way). And the same for Diane. If she needed to use the bathroom, it makes sense (in a TV production sense) not to have her walk all the way to the far bathroom.
what happened to the focus of this vid? You meander into some distant galaxy on bits of nothing that reminds me "Facts Verse" gave this 'nothing burger' and is the culprit here. Sure it is great Cheers but not edited or look closer or blooper. The single redemning thing? I watch from outside USA so didn't actually pay you for posting.
What about the portrayal of Frasier's mother in Cheers versus what we see of her in Frasier? Far less smoothly handled than Martin . . . particularly since John Mahoney played a creepy jingle writer in Cheers . . .
Ever noticed how cliff is a little different in season 1, it took a while for them to establish him as a complete loser and very weird. I also noticed how carla does not make her first sarcastic joke at his expense until halfway through the 2nd season.. Boy did she make up for it though.
Why would a curtain next to a window be a blooper? Isn't that where curtains typically appear? Since the bar is a movie set, they wouldn't have placed a curtain next to the window if a curtain wouldn't normally be near a window.
Although Cheers was set in Boston- I don't think they ever showed any live scenes of Boston (outside the opening drawings and photographs which I am not sure are set in Boston. As far as I know, they never filmed any scenes in some big Boston Landmark. The Mary Tyler Moor Show did the same thing wiht except for the openings- they never did any location filming in the City of Minneapolic. It would have been interesting if both shows tried to film some scenes in the Cities they were actually set in.
There were a few scenes filmed with some of the main characters standing outside the Bull & Finch Pub in Boston, which was the in-universe exterior of Cheers. But regardless of that, the Boston setting was an important part of the show even if very little of Boston was actually seen. It affected the accents, the sports teams they rooted for, and the celebrity guests (e.g., Massachusetts politicians and professional athletes such as Kevin McHale of the Boston Celtics and Wade Boggs of the Boston Red Sox).
I know it's a show but, growing up in Boston, I knew the fire laws required the door to open outward after the horrific Cocoanut Grove fire. I even understand why this was changed for the show. But it still annoys me to this day. So many unnecessary deaths, 450+.
AHH Shucks, I can't Say Anymore about Cheer's other than it was Great & a Classical 🏛️🏛️ Evening Sitcom, that we all could relate too. Over the Year's My favorites, would be Coach 1st, Rea Pearl Man 2nd, Sam 3rd and Norm 4th. The rest were All Great & Enjoyable but those Four were like the Glue that made it Stick together. And as for Cliff Clayven e He was the Typical Obnoxious Know it All? That Everyone Else, had to Tolerate because, Deep down they Really felt Pity for Him as well as Everyone Else. The Plot Centered around Sam Malone, Coach, Carla, & Norm, anyways because? The Bar 🍺🍻 had Originally been Coaches Bar after He Retired from Baseball ⚾⚾. Where Sam had been a Player for Him. Then Sam was buying the Bar from Coach due too Financial Troubles, and Carla had been a Bar Waitress Since the beginning Day's. Then Norm & Clifford, along with the Other's we're the Loyal Clientele that came Along with the whole Story of the Bar Cheer's. Like the Song Say's. A Place Where Everybody Know's Your "Name". What a Great Show IT Was. Thank You for Sharing ☺️😊☺️.May God Bless US All on Memorial Day 🍺🍺🍻🍺 CHEERS.
Why is everything "iconic" now? Can't people come up with more unique/interesting words to use? Don't you get bored saying "iconic" all the time? It doesn't make you sound cool to say it all the time.
It was bottles of non-alcoholic beer poured into a soda fountain dispenser (rather than a real beer keg setup). It got warm and flat from sitting around on a set under hot studio lighting. It isn't practical to keep dumping out mugs of beer and pouring new ones all the time, so when the cameras were about to roll a crew member would add a little salt to the beer that would be seen onscreen to make it foam up and look like a freshly poured draft beer.

I still watch this show every morning. I loved it and still do! Great cast and stories. I cried when it ended.

The actor who played frasier's dad in Frasier also played in an episode of Cheers. All I can remember is that he played the piano.
He was a terrible jingle writer hired by Rebecca to write music for an advert for Cheers
Beer and pretzels, that's our game, C-H-E-R-S.
A great deal of the magic of Cheers came from probably the best sit-com director of all time James Burrows.

The best FRAZIER episode hands down is the ski lodge one.
My favourite character was Niles
Fab was when Sam went back in time and got his hair piece
Older soap opera were famous about cliff hangers
Please you're not going to show the thumbnail please stop.
I like cheers here in the Philippines it's on Monday through Friday what is that? Yep every night we still have cheers.
This “exit” CACA stopped my in my tracks.
Favorite character is Coach
Fun stuff, thanks for sharing! What other types of video would you like to see?
He was an absolute gem.
So, they put the signs on the wrong bathroom doors when they what? Took them off to polish them?
"Probably" is pronounced "Probably." Not "Probly."
My fav episode was when Sam banged the barmaid on the pool table.
My favorite was definitely Norm!! NORM …
One of our favorites too, you've got taste! What other types of video would you like to see?
I know it's a show but, growing up in Boston, I knew the fire laws required the door to open outward after the horrific Cocoanut Grove fire. I even understand why this was changed for the show. But it still annoys me to this day. So many unnecessary deaths, 450+.
Shelley Long is so pretty!
US 'bathrooms', where there be only toilets and not single bath to be had...
We didn't have safety back then.
I preferred cheers with diane i love a bit of culture in shows
Maybe Bar Wars IV was pulled for just being too violent.
It's called TV, and entertainment. 🤷♂
isn't that the show that turned Woody into a Natural Born Killer..?
I never liked the ones with Gary's old town tavern episodes
Bunny outfit shown fake news
Wow ...some bloopers. You talking. Good idea genius.
Norm
Favorite episode is when Lilith attempted to seduce Sam in a hotel room. Favorite character? ...Woody.

Why is everything "iconic" now? Can't people come up with more unique/interesting words to use? Don't you get bored saying "iconic" all the time? It doesn't make you sound cool to say it all the time.
Did you know the beers they drank on set were warm and salty? Gross. Not sure why the producers couldn't give them cold non-salty tasting beer.
Interesting, thanks for sharing! Which episode is the most memorable for you?
It was bottles of non-alcoholic beer poured into a soda fountain dispenser (rather than a real beer keg setup). It got warm and flat from sitting around on a set under hot studio lighting. It isn't practical to keep dumping out mugs of beer and pouring new ones all the time, so when the cameras were about to roll a crew member would add a little salt to the beer that would be seen onscreen to make it foam up and look like a freshly poured draft beer.
