I own both of these controllers and I love them both but like you said the missing features is quite the drawback. There is a perfect in between though that being the Nyxi joy con options. Their Hyperion controller is exactly all the things you wish these Hori controllers were.
Just ordered the NYXI Wizard Wireless from your recommendation first impressions then later on a full review view coming soon! I’ll shout you out in the videos!
Wow this is some Great Video Quality, Great Audio, Great Information! I love the video all around! Keep dropping bangers like this & I just know your channel will grow🔥🤝 Im happy to be a new Sub 😎
I genuienly thought I was watching some bigtime RUclipsr with more than 100k subscribers, before realising you don't have many at all. I'm happy to subscribe to you. Super under rated.
I believe the chances of the hori getting any type of hd rumble or nfc reading or eveb gyro is close to impossible the reason for that is if the hori gets all those features nintendo will start loosing money because no one will buy joycons anymore , look at it in this way ( why would you purchase a product for 80 dollars if you can get one with the same base features with a beter and more comfortable build when also saving about 30 bucks). The only way any controller will have the joycons features they probably wont be licensed by nintendo. I hope my point is understandable 😅 sorry for the grammatical mistakes , english isnt my first language. ❤
Well said! And I believe your correct I have had my eyes on a few nonlicensed Nintendo controller that offer rumble! No NFC that I can find but a review is coming soon!
(notices quarters on the D-pads of all the Switch Joycons) I see SOMEONE is a fighting game fan frustrated with the Switch's design! I can dig it. The Switch Lite has a D-pad straight from the bowels of hell.
I bought the Split Pad Compacts about a week ago since I wanted to play Switch more in handheld mode and they are great. They are really the shape Joycons should have been. They made it so that I can easily use my Switch for prolong times in handheld mode while when I was using Joycons my hands started to camp in a matter of minutes. The only thing I regret is buying them in the basic colorway to save some money, I should have just spend the extra 20 bucks and gotten them in the Gengar colorway because I've wrapped my Switch in the Rainy Night skin from EasySkinz so that would've looked a lot better. One negative about the Split Pad Compacts is that the plasic used feels a little cheap mainly because they are really lightweight though on the other hand that's also a possitive because you don't want to be carrying around unnecessary weight. So all and all really happy about the purchase.
I really play mostly in docked mode but sometimes i wanna play in portable mode . I also hate the joycons because of the drift and they're uncomfortable, and as you said in the video theyre 50 50 . Would you recommend anny other joycon alternatives?
Im current testing the NYXI Wizard Wireless Joy-pad, I don’t want to recommend it yet because I like to use it for at-least 90 days before I review! But so far so good at week 2 I have also preorder the Nitro Deck Classic by CRKD - it will be released in September! Keep a look out for that one it should be good! I’ll do a first impressions and unboxing video of that one then a second video with my thoughts on the Nitro Deck!
The only problem I have with the split pad pro is the joysticks grip, they’re pretty much are like the texture the Xbox 360 controllers joystick (Which overtime if I can remember the rubber turns to a slippery mess) so I recommend getting a standard controller sized joystick grip for this
All good I’m still learning and when people like your self leaves feedback its only going to make me better at creating content! It’s all good this is a learning process for me and I have only made 5 videos so far so you feedback is valued and welcomed on this channel!
@@SimplyGordon wish i could get them fixed but horii wont fix them for me under warranty and no chance for refund, even took them apart to clean and de dust and still drifting

The compact one is what joycons should have been.
I agree so much with everything u said but I’m still going to but this product cause it’s Nintendo but keep it up love it stay safe and happy gaming
Thank you for you kind words!
Most if not all licensed controllers lack rumble from what I've seen.
I had to buy a second one because the first one broke just out of warranty....

Good call out my friend!
I got thumbstick grips which add a whole lot of grip and keep them from wearing out. They're relatively cheap too!
Fits in the satisfye case
Gotcha good to know Thanks!
Nice review. Totally agree about lack of rumble. That’s a no buy for me.
Totally agreed, thank you for your comment!
Do you have a link to these items?
I do not, but I’m going to update the description and I’ll ping you with the link!

The split pad pro is trash, cheap plastic hunk of junk that got drift in 2 months
Yes I agree I was not happy with the quality of the product at all for the Split pad pro!
