XIAOMI should find a solution with you. You are a few of RUclipsrs reviewing fair and square their products and of course all we know how much Americans love Apple and give them free pass and throwing shade on anything outside of US. I bought Poco F3, Lenovo Tab and Samsung Note after your reviews. I don't agree all the times but you are consistent and methodical. A family guy and not an overzealous kid wanting to make quick money leaking the balls of big companies.
Thanks for the comment. I don't know it happened before they tried to "send me a message" by pulling review units delaying them and messing about with me. It happened again and I'm not playing their games with them trying to manipulate my reviews. This doesn't mean I cannot buy Xiaomi tech that interests me like this Pad 6 Pro and 13 Ultra which is coming maybe next week the review. 99% sure I will buy the Xiaomi 14 series and review it (Chinese ROM) and also the Mix Fold 3 when out if it's interesting.
I feel like if Tech Tablet was hired at Xiaomi they would really improve. And he'd be honest with them coz Xiaomi really doesn't listen to their fans

Keep up your great work ! You do help me to understand xiaomi products more with your detailed review. i am from Indonesia and every xiaomi products released in here, i am making sure to watch your review and your honest opinion. I totally agree with you that even xiaomi has a variety of products, still, there are several flaws including usb still 2.0 speed, mediocre selfie camera, and etc. Hope you are doing well mate! Thank you.
Thank you for the support. I'm doing fine and review unit access might have been pulled for Xiaomi but life goes on.
Took Xiaomi long enough to finally put USB3.2 on their products. Am surprised at the fluidity of MIUI 14 for pad and how you commended it! Android tablets have really came a long way.
One of the possible reasons, is inventory. They might have many lower version USB ports lying around.
To keep the price low, they order or manufacture in bulk to save cost.
nice
and i wonder how about split screen on vertical mode is they can use split screen on top and bottom now ?
on previos pad 5 they cant split top and bottom on vertical mode it suck that why most of people go with galaxy tab s instead
How can I buy it

my very first proper android phone was the LG Optimus L5 II E460, i remember it even had the option to put the launcher in landscape.
Thanks alot for the review on this TechTablets! you are probably the first few to review this.
So far Im using my new Doogee T20 Tab, Id love to get a Xiaomi Tab once I decide.
Tho the Lenovo Tab Extreme has just released
Thanks Chris, great informative video as usual! Do you think it is worth paying the extra $ for the pro version over the standard?
Thanks for the review as always Chris.
Tablet looks good, I like the 11" size and the 8+ gen1 is a great choice from Xiaomi. Bezels are fine, we still need something to grab into. Still disappointed in the IPS screen, hopefully if the Galaxy Tab S9 comes back with an AMOLED the Chinese manufacturers will follow suit.
Glad you finally got your USB video out lol
I wonder what it will retail here in Europe, Lenovo recently always has their P11 Pro gen2 8/256 mediatek model (currently typing from one!) For sale at 349€ from their website and a bunch of etailers and that's a lot of value to go against.
Cheers
The P11 Pro gen 2 is a great tablet. I would have loved to have seen this with OLED or AMOLED that was a mistake I think and the removal of MicroSD support.
Comparing an MTK device with a tsmc made snapdragon, lol

Hi Chris, again a great review, thanks!
@Techtablets A question: I want to purchase a future proof tablet mostly for remote work with zoom. Would you, in terms of selfie video & mics, rather recommend this Xiaomi 6 Pro, or the Xiaoxin Pad Pro which you also highly recommended? 💙
I am thinking the same, i was gonna buy the Xiaoxin Pad Pro but now i can't decide. @Techtablets give us a help :)
Thankss for the great review! Are you also going to review the vivo pad 2 what seems like a good offer for the price in combination with the specs?
Great video
Have you been able to upload to HyperOs?
Or at least ROM change?
Wow... The first RUclips on RUclips who shows Ebook performance rather than only games and movies performance... You are awesome 🙏🙌🙌🙌
Not everyone is gamer, we are hard working college students, we want to know more about ebbok performances... Thanks 🙏
Normally I include that with all tablet reviews. Thanks for watching!!
@@Techtablets im thinking of buying a pad 6 pro, is there a global version already?
This and then the 13 Ultra reviewing coming, but no POCO F5 coverage from me, no more Redmi or others unless I decide to get them myself to review.
You should review them. Now we would come to your reviews to get the unbiased version❤
It would be too hard now 2-3 weeks after the first videos.
Thnx, chris for the grt review ❤❤
Once again just an overall excellent and honest review. Thanks.

Hi there,
Your content has always been helpful in terms of understanding the specs of a device especially the ones that aren't released in US market. I'm interested in getting the Xiami pad 6 pro but I'm a little bit concerned since there is not a global ROM.
How's your experience using the Chinese ROM outside of China?
Thank you!
Looks like a great tablet. I have the mi pad 5 and it held up pretty well. Still great with all the tasks I through at it. I guess maybe I will upgrade to this new version
Not a huge atep up mostly the performance. If you game a lot it would be worth it.
Nice video bro. Great to see that u are still reviewing Xiaomi device 👍👍 I hope Xiaomi global will appreciate your efforts more 💪💪
This and the 13 Ultra and then will see what I decided to buy to review maybe the Mix Fold 2 next.
@@Techtablets look forward to your videos buddy. I'm still thinking whether buy or not the 13 ultra. I'm currently rocking Xiaomi 13 Pro & magic vs as daily drivers.
Many thanks for this review. I am thinking about the 512 GB version which is available in Vietnam where I live. I bought their flagship phone 12S Ultra last year and use it exclusively for photography which I am quite pleased with…
Chris, I just love your in-depth reviews. I bought an Alldocube i40Pro tablet based on your review including a Teclast T7 laptop all on your reviews. I now need both in one and would enjoy a review on a Chinese tablet to take over both units for me. Maybe Lenovo tab p12 or Xiaomi pad 6.
Great to hear that!

Nice, I've been using Mipad4 since it came out, and it's working still and awesome. Could be an upgrade :)
Mi Pad 4 was a great tablet.
@@Techtablets owner of a mi pad 5. bought it almost 2 years back and i think it was and still is quite one of the best value / money tablet (now a bit more in the budget friendly area). and i am saying this not because it the most powerful... but more like for the small price for a decent all rounder (great battery life, bright display with dolby vision 120Hz (even though not oled - that's it's only small downside that i see), very good speakers, and snapdragon 860 which is still a great chipset even now - powerful enough to run most things smoothly and also battery efficient and no issues). the price i got it then on offer was like 290euro and now you can find it easily at around 260 euro -> very hard to deny it's value for money. But yes it's time for the new gen to show it's prowess. the pad 6 with the sd 870 - it's also a very hard to ignore offer... and this pro version with that 8+gen one... even though a bit higher prices i still think it's more than a decent price at 430-450$. As much as xiaomi seems to be struggling a bit with the competition in the mobile phone area, I think they nailed it with their tablet offers

Does it have options for display out? Can you use a monitor as an extension for example or is it just mirrored?
15:59 Its perfect for your hand Chris. Do you think this can be use as a stream tablet? Like plugin on streamlabs or OBS and stream in via RUclips or FB? I hope Xiaomi will do this to all of their products having 3.0 spec USB
Yes I hope Xiaomi will go forward and give all mid and high end devices USB 3.2 with video out now. As for streaming and OBS via RUclips I think it will as it has the power and good thermals. Throttling is almost not there at all which shocked me.
I have the Xiaomi Mipad 5 and it’s still really good. I prefer smaller tablets but I can’t argue with Xiaomi’s quality. I just wish Netflix would allow the best video quality on them

As always, and consistently, one of the best reviewers out there. If you are in the hunt to buy any device and you want a thorough review and opinion TechTablets is the goto man. I have bought a whole ecosystem of Huawei devices thanks to his reviews. Love from Argentina.
Huawei tech is great even handicapped with sanctions they are still pushing out some awesome tech. I'll have more Huawei content soon!
@@Techtablets kind a looks like copy of iPad Pro
It does but that's what they all seem to do, copy apple and constantly compare themselves to Apple.
@@Techtablets Thanks for your reply, and yes, although Huawei has been hit by the sanctions it is quite livable using HarmonyOS in my Watch (Fit 2), Phone (Mate 50 Pro), and Tablet (MatePad Pro 11), 99.9% of Apps are available and work well. I also have a MatebookD16, super laptop. Happy with Huawei. All the hardware is phenomenal.
Hi! Coming from a Huawei matepad t10s user. What are much more better? Xiaomi pad5 or xiaomi pad 6 pro? Because I want to find an amazing tablet for schoolwork, gaming, and videocalls. Unfortunately Huawei Matepad t10s lacks alot of features when I first got it in my birthday, not that I'm dissappointed but just want better specs for a budget price.
Thanks a lot for the great, fair & trusted review as usual.
Do you plan to review Oneplus pad & compare with Xiaomi's pro pad?
Another honest tablet review. BTW, I seriously think companies should invest more on putting a dedicated 'Reading mode' on tablets like these, which will not strain the eyes. Focusing on camera tech in a tablet of this size doesn't seem all that necessary.
I have had Xiaomi Pad 5 for 1.5 years and the thing is excellent... Best tablet I ever owned.
Does it support 5G wifi?
@@BenSXD. If you mean 5 GHz Wifi, yes it does.
Alright !! Thanks for the info
Same here. Had it since it was launched..
@@jackwilson5542 do you use stylus? If yes, how good is it? Also how good service does it give for taking notes?
Hi I want to ask if you if it supports other language keyboard support ?? (Spanish,Greek etc,) ?? Will support other keyboard languages on office and othe programs??
I need a tablet to keep building my brand on the go. Would you say this is better than the ipad air 4th generation? I can buy both at around the same price with the stylus included in both :)
Wow this surprised me, was expecting the rom performance to be much worse. It seems this really will be the best reasonably priced gaming pad out there given the fact that unless you are willing to pay crazy Samsung prices there is nothing else with a Snapdragon Gen 1 available. Would love to see how this compares to the Oneplus pad / Oppo Pad 2 / Vivo pad 2. Will you be reviewing any of those? I love the aspect ratio and look of those new BBK pads but they won't be able to compete on performance with Dimensity 9000. I think the vivo is also the only one with video out over USB 3.2 as well. I do wonder though what we can expect in terms of android updates as a lot of these Chinese manufacturer pads tend to get neglected, my mipad 4 didn't get a single update.
Mi Pad 4 had terrible updates and yes I also expected to see some performance issues with the rom but nope it runs so well! Not sure if I will review the OnePlus Pad has they said there are no review units. If I buy one it's delivered in June. Far too late by then no interest or views.
@@Techtablets Yeah hopefully nowadays xiaomi is a little better with tablet updates. The OP pad seems to have gained some pretty positive reviews already. I think giztop and ali are both selling the vivo pad 2 and oppo pad 2 currently.
If I buy one it will be the Vivo Pad 2 less coverage.
@@Techtablets Sweet, that would be great, no English reviews out yet, love to see that.
I bought Vivo Pad 2 with its pencil 2 and been using it 1week now. It is 80$ cheaper than Oneplus and Oppo pad 2 and with USB 3.2 while Oneplus and Oppo offer only 2.0 version. I hope you can review it soon Chris.
Nice review. Thanks. Interesting product.
Regarding HDR support in Netflix: I had the same issue with my Poco F3 I think.
In my case, I went to the apps menu in the settings, flushed the cache and deleted the storage, maybe also restarted the phone (can't recall) and then opened Netflix again.
Obviously your user profile and login info will be reset to default, so you'll have to log in again, but when you do, you should have HDR if it's the same issue I had.
....flushed the cache *of the Netflix app* I mean, obviously. 😁
Hi, thanks for the tip. I did try that as it was a method to sometimes get from L3 SD to L1 FHD. But still no HDR, I think it must be Netflix isn't reading the widevine correctly or doesn't want to enable HDR10 and Dolby vision support? Hopefully this will change as I've been enjoying Netflix on it some much due to the size and weight. (Coming from my huge S8 Ultra)
Been following you since redmi note 3 pro days, ive been growing fond of this channel
Thanks for the support it means a lot!
Hi @Techtablets. Does genshin still have those jagged lines? I have the pad 5, and yeah... Graphics for genshin is bad. Is it better now with pad 6? Thanks
A little yes.
Good specs but frame looks bit thick for "pro"device in my opinion. I'm still in love with my first generation Huawei Matepad Pro. If I need a new tablet I would probably prefer an oled screen. Thanks for the review Chris.
The Matepad Pro's are awesome tablets, I have my Matepad 11 still works great and really nice type cover keyboard. 6.5mm isn't bad Vs 5.5mm 1mm doesn't make too much of a difference.
Great review, I like this tablet maybe it will be available globally. I already have the the pad 5 and it still perform very well. Battery life is excellent. The camera is actually decent for a tablet but no fingerprint senzor. But I am not going to upgrade with this one. I don't know if there is a big difference.
I probably will launch globally
Great review here, but long-term reviews would probably also gain some fans. Keep up the good work.
Hey @TechTablets, any chance you'll be reviewing the Vivo Pad 2 anytime soon? I'm interested, but at the moment there's not a lot info about it out there
No plans to buy it.
There are a lot of impressive full size tablets coming out, but I prefer small tablets that have decent performance. That leaves me with 3 options total, Apple iPad Mini 6, Lenovo Legion Y700 and Realme Pad Mini (I have all 3). All of these tablets have some annoying problems with them, but the Y700 is the best of the bunch. I would love to see Xiaomi, Lenovo or Google make a good global market small tablet again.
Why do you need 3 tablets?? Serious GAS problem there!
@@paulneedham9885 I can't deny it.
Hi im considering to buy y700 but waiting for the 2023 version to come out.what would you say the cons for the y700 that you have experienced so far compared to the others?
@@maharah93 The typical overly customized Chinese ROM issues. Over aggressive battery saving, background data restrictions, you have to enable a setting to allow Google Play to work. Just weird stuff that should not be in Android and really provides no value. Also, for some reason I can't play Wild Rift anymore. Works fine on my Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021 which seems to have the same OS.

Still running strong on Mii pad 5. Great review.
Mi Pad 5 is still great!
Unfortunately, the old pen is not compatible to Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro, so you need to buy the new one. Xiaomi channeling its inner Apple on that one. ;-)
Are these considered reliable? I'm in the USA and it's hard to trust other brands for tablets not named Samsung or Apple. Do you trust the quality?
@@Alien_Nukes There are global versions so you should not have any problems.
Great video as always! And nothing from Xiaomi bringing a desktop mode in MIUI. Google needs to do this soon so that everyone can enjoy apps with advanced functions, work mode and games.
Desktop mode would be great if they had their own POC mode like Lenovo and Huawei do with their tablets.
But they had desktop mode in MIUI with pad 5. I don't know why did they disabled it with pad 6.
I'm pretty curious to find out how the performance of this pad would be compared to mobile sd8+gen1 devices in terms of gaming and or geekbench antutu etc
Nice Review, which is better this or Lenovo p11 pro gen 2?

Best size for gaming but not many are aware of it, especially when many (of the few existing) 7-9" tablets have underwhelming performance for gaming.. 🥴🫣

And also, testing their native pens, for me it's a must as it's my most used input method 😅 but I get it that business wise, doesn't make a lot of sense
As the owner of the Xiaomi Pad 5, I think, that there is absolutely no reason to buy the Xiaomi Pad 6/Pro. In my opinion, the only obvious difference is the more powerful processor.
SD 860 is still great. If you do not play heavy games, then this processor is enough for all tasks, including browsing, reading, watching videos, etc.
The rest of the changes are minor. I don't need a USB 3.2 with a VideoOut.

Title does suit as it was a pleasant surprise I thought it might have bad throttling and thermals but not at all. As for the watches I use myself the Huawei Watch 3 GT Pro and it's fantastic up to 10 days battery life. It just goes so long. I hate the 1-2 day battery life watches.
@TechTablets me too. It's totally useless. To be honest, I'm not a fan of Huawei Watches at all. They don't work too well with Samsung phones. Maybe the newer ones do, I stopped buying them since I last used GT2. I've heard that Garmin is very good. But I've never used any. I'm surprised at how good the tablet is. A bit disappointing with the screen
as a person who likes to mess with my devices, you can do a lot of workarounds in chinese ROM to have for example multi language support and nearby share. It becomes the same experience as the global ROM but with 5x its smoothness (currently doing it with my pad 5 and it's game changer)
Does this pad has GPS. Is it able to run navigation applications??
Can it connect via USB-C to HMDI to an external Display?
📡📲 Do you install a sim card or connect to the wireless 5-G internet from the phone?
Hotspot from your phone. Or home wifi.
Thanks Chris - I would love to see a video on how to install Google play store and apps on a Chinese ROM device ? I have 5 Chinese Rom phones that I love but are no longer used because of Google incompatibility ?
They probably were originally planning on adding a sim tray but backed out at the last second due to having to cut costs
I wish companies made it more normal to use external storage like a SD card
Does this tab has a specific pen for its use? I am looking for a new tablet and this looked promising
it s not a phone..............and after you say tablet????
people are really weird
is that video out displayport alt mode or HDMI?
Hi.
I'm torn between the pad 6, pad 6 pro, the xiaoxin pad pro 2022 (mediatek version) and the xiaoxin snapdragon 870 version.
£83 difference between the 2 Xiaoxins, unsure if I should save the money or get the SD870.
Also xiaoxins have amoled compared to xiaomi's LCD
Great review.
