Season 1 Episode 10: Ahmet, 23 year old Londener, doesn't know when to stop splashing the cash. With almost £13,000 of debt, but with a salary of just a few thousand pounds more, his lifestyle will have to change. Jay Hunt and Benjamin Fry use shock tactics to confront Ahmet with his overspending, but can he commit to going cold turkey for 7 days?

Coco Pops I agree. Your true friends will do any socialising with you, regardless if you are spending money or not. You don't need to spend money to have good conversations. It's a shame Ahmet doesn't think he can socialise without money.

£13k in debt was very low for this show from memory. God the mid 00`s when you could earn next to nothing but somehow have 5 credit cards.
The best thing to do in that situation is to go bank or agency work. Swallow your pride and do dirty grubby work. I'm a sound op on indie films and it's my dream to go full time. A contract job would mean I'd have to give it up. I got a job as a hospital cleaner on the bank, I can work full time or as often as I want. Its incredibly boring unskilled although the pay is fair, but there is always shifts available. But....I can tell my bosses I won't be in for a few weeks or what ever period as I'm off on a sound job. For an actor or other creative person that takes you away, bank work is the way to go and it saved my sound career. Hospital work is the best option because there will always be sick people and therefore shifts

I like hanging out at home with friends, you buy the food yourself and drinks, you dont have to spend a lot, you put your own music on and make your own party. Especially during the winter you are safe, warm and not spending a lot. If your friends do not agree , get new friends....🤣
50 a week? That's two weeks of food for me. Poor guy never learnt how to manige money. You can have fun with friends without money love.
Sandra Isaksson yes I agree. I thought it was quite sad when he said he needed to spend money in order to socialise with his friends. Like he is needing to buy their company. What's wrong with going over to his house for free for a good evening?

The best part is always the first half when their lives are a complete mess. The second half isn't as good. It's the same with all reality shows. Maybe I'm just cruel lol.

Trails & Travel You can also cut your food outgoings by going to local farmers markets and shopping at the end of the day if you can. Or if you can have a vegetable patch grow your own food.

emma M yes absolutely that too. Especially if you are not using it everyday. It's also good too if you have fresh fruit to just freeze it as soon as you get it as it will keep for weeks. I do that with bananas. Buy them ultra cheap and then freeze them in freezer bags to use up to a month. They make excellent cool fruit smoothies blended up.
@@greenkitty82 i onli buy food once a week. I think if you are going to shops multiple times a week you might pick up things u dont need and spend more money. So i frezze milk, bread and ham too. I also have a problem with spending 😢

Ashley BaDashly they probably fed the rest of the crew with it. I doubt a show about saving and utilizing money would throw away expensive food

Still can! I'm 23, I have 7 credit cards with a combined credit limit of £20k/month. I work part time, £12.5k total yearly income. Attained most of the cards during my undergrad when I picked up 1-2 £50 shifts each week. My credit utilisation rate is well below 5%, debt free with an excellent credit score, but if I was less savvy I could easily be £100k in the hole now.

No, I disagree. There are very few ugly peolpe and a lot normal looking people. A bit eyeliner and mascara can help make the eyes look bigger and more awake. Even if you don't have the perfect features like a supermodel. All the stuff with primer, cocealer, make up and I don't even know what it's all called, is useless. You're right with saying don't waste money on make up. But not because you're ugly, but because you don't need it.
You can have fun with makeup and express your personality with a particular look, regardless of how pretty or ugly you supposedly are.
