- Join the guys for another mid-summer's day of RC plane flying at the Tokoroa Airfield here in New Zealand. Spare a moment to mourn the loss of poor Simon's new Tundra -- but Bill will fix it (almost) good as new!
Forget about the Northern winter and the lockdowns, share sometime with us as we have lots of good, safe fun withour models. There's a bit of extra summer footage at the end to keep you warm.

I came for the RC planes but stayed for the genius comedic wit. Thank you!
One thing I love most about this hobby is that landing is always guaranteed!
I dunno, my first ever rc plane that had no surface controls, just with differential thrust and power to climb, it once got caught in a thermal, it went so high I could no longer see it, never to be seen again.
Landing is actually mandatory
Some landings have the approval from Anakin Skywalker. LOL
Yes, a landing is always guaranteed. However, the condition of the model after the landing is not guaranteed.
not true. There is still an .049 plane I crashed in a giant tree back in 2001 still in that tree in 2020. It was over 100 feet up. I don't know how long foam lasts but it likely won't land at least that long. Other than that, you are completely correct.
The “spot landing” video reminded me of those nature films you sometimes see where they show bees in slow motion closeup as they come in for a landing at the hive - excellent editing there, really made me laugh.
Awesome footage Bruce, one of the best videos youve done for a long time!!
Incredible photography! You made my day better with your creation. Thank you!
Always a treat to watch you guys have fun. Miss it so much, thank you for sharing.
Love your videos Bruce helps pass the time here In the UK .with winter and what feels like a never ending lock down .. means no flying .. thank you for the amazing work you are doing for our rights to fly ♥️♥️
Hello and thank you from Cold, Wet, Dark, Locked down London. Looks like you had a lot of fun with the wind. The extra footage was much appreciated. Ah, blue skies, summer nights and sunshine, I remember you well. When will you return? Keep up the good work :)
Some excellent chase footage. And looked like fun was had by all, except the tundra.I loved the rescue quad,I think Bill should stick to the planes and give me the dji goggles;-)Good to see you all enjoying the weather.I''m S.E.England and its been gusting snow drifts and rain all weekend, cant wait for summer, and lockdown to be over. The whooping indoors is real good for keeping up the muscle memory, but I do miss blipping the throttle ...
That was beautiful.
Poor Poor Timber it never stood a chance. Looking like a great weekend of flying. Thanks again for the video.
Another awesome day of fun and exciting antics at Tokoroa. Well done guys.
Some very nice video and flying... Liked and subscribed. Happy Lunar New Year.
i llllove the sense of houmor of this channel tnx a lot and greetings from italy
Great stuff! Here I sit with about ten inches of snow outside, so seeing some summer fun is pretty therapeutic. ;-)
Looked like you all had a great weekend. Enjoy. It's 1°C or less here in snowy Scotland, lol. Roll on summer. 👍🏴
One year to the day....always a great channel to watch!
And ...FIREWORKS!!! AWESOME BRUCE!! Thanks ✌🏻
all ways so much fun to watch you lot fly and funny. Good way to start the day.
Bruce all the Best to ya Bro. Keep up the Great work you do, on all fronts.
You have a great group, good times.
Beautiful skies! Awesome drone shots!
Always said that's the only way you'll crash a Tundra. Mid air... or you're a complete beginner. Heart goes out to the owner.
Love mine dearly.... Epic vid and channel. Cheers Bruce!
Lovely video. Thanks Bruce!
Very cool video, excellent video and editing work, watching from Key West, Florida USA
Cool you got some water action towards the end! Nice!!!
All flying, no ranting...two thumbs up!
There were some darn good looking shots in there!
Variety is the spice of life!
Loved the spot landing segment.
One of your best videos, thank you.
Love it when you're colder days are coming. Greetz from the northern hemisphere
Cool song at the end. Nice vid.
Nice presentation Bruce. And Hello from the windy manawatu
😂😂😂😂 1st video I watched when I woke up this morning! Made my day!!
GO FLY!!! ✈🛸🛩
Bruce, yer on fire today! Awesome video.
Nice images, thanks for sharong. Greetings from Mexico.
Great video great music! Great visuals
It good to know that RC is well and alive in NZ, be it ever so humble...love the commentary miss that NZ twang...oh the video is not bad either.....OK its great swell head !! Yes I have just subscribed so as not to offend.
Great group of fellows. Enjoyable show.
If the pilot from that airplane were flying FPV the collision wouldn't happen. 😬
Awesome flying there, Bruce!!! 😃
Stay safe and flying there! 🖖😊
Thanks for the ride. Must have taken looong time to edit..... :-)
i love you guys lol...love the hobby love the love...not so much the gas lmao..watching from Iowa 🇺🇸
Oh man, I’m not into RC planes or any small man toys so to speak, but mate, your down to earth comedic commentary had me in stitches, thanks for a good laugh
Hi Bruce, I like watching your videos of Ron. I hope you are giving credit to him. I am starting a Ron Fan Club he is a Star as without him you can only rant Lol.
2 thumbs up, I normally hate music in vids as it sounds like a funeral/wedding(same thing)
But this soudtrack was Perfect.
Great video, believe it or not.. everyone loves crash moment. It's more amazing 😂
Great video 👊👊💪💪
In the early 1980s I was playing cricket on the main sports ground in Tokoroa and I saw the same thing happen high over the airfield.
So many memories going to the Lake Benbrook RC airstrip and seeing the planes fly and crash.
Very nice!
Nice flying day and the camera cinema photography slow motion carnage. 👍🛩️🛩️🛩️🛩️🛩️
Better flying today! Ron finally got something that flies.
The difference between men and boys
Is the size of their toys.
...and the fact that the Mrs. doesn't weep openly when the boy breaks his toys. Crashing a $3,000 RC aeroplane, then telling her that he's going to buy another which costs 10 times that is sure to put tears in her eyes.
Nice flight
Gangsta beats on your rescue mission Bruce!
You certainly got some great footage this time Bruce.
What were the fireworks for? Celebrating Wiakikamookow Day? lol
Beautiful !
I like how the guy just let go of the plane and expected it to fly.
Bill should be flying his floatplanes here in Perth, it’s been raining quite a bit for the past few days.
same over here in Canberra been nothing but rain everyday heavy rain storms, Do not think you be fly much :)
Bruce: Your new camera looks Great Only a couple of Minute FOCUS GLITCHES. Loads better than your old camera. Suggestion. On Mid-airs like you had Single frame through it, really shows the carnage. Great as always man. Looks like the Parkinson's is under control.
There was a *lot* of stabilization and processing in the edit :-)
@@xjet All made possible because of the 4K format that allows for the cropping to enable the use of stibliation in this video Correct?
@@HoundDogMech Yep. I would never have been able to turn that mid-air into a super-slow-mo "close-up" shot without 4K footage and a day's worth of GPU-based image processing :-) Stabilized flight footage also looks nice from time to time. Technology vs Parkinsons -- technology is still winning (so far)
Nice shielded operation under the fence height along the dirt track.
So sad for the Tundra. Was a beautiful plane.
Ah, that was a great looking crash .. for entertainment. Feel sorry for that fine Tundra, though .. and the owner, of course. Why can't models always stay in mint condition, I wonder 🤔😁 Good length video, Bruce 👍
19:06: I shouded: "Oh my gosh! He plans passing through the car! Hold your pants!"
One bladed prop very efficient but vibrate a bit😂
"This man's from Poland -- specializes in poles..." hahahahaha
Of all the airspace in all the flying fields of the whole world, she just had to fly right into mine.
Maybe Mentour Pilot can do an 'incident' analysis on his channel.
Gravity never ceases to amaze me. If he hadn't flown his plane into the gravitational field of the other plane that would not have happened ;-) See you in the Air!
Very nice
I have had the same problem here, cold and windy.
Good flying day... except for the Tundra. BTW never saw the other plane after the crash it caused....
Anyone know where Bill bought the Mosquito? Or did he scratch build?
'Fat Albert'' and the ''RC Goose'' taking off from the Pond, two of a kind.
Combat fighting, ''Plane down''.
Amazing
More a walk of shame quad than rescue! 🤭🤣
Did you have a ‘spotter’ for that black thing with the flapping wings?
have fun ..it is -42 here in canada and wind chill -55
Quite 'fresh' then....!
Somebody needs to hand Ron a pylon racer! Content guaranteed!
It's also very windy and cold and sunny in Plymouth England, but temperature is 1 degree Celcius LOL
In nearly fifty years flying R/C, just about every mid-air was when there were only the two airplanes that will mid-air, up there. More than that, you're safe, only two, chances go up.
What's a ADSB Alarm?
That's a pretty cool build at 5:58.
What's that at 14:30?
NZ is paradise No covid and no masks!
Tell me about the radio and alarm thing at the beginning please.
Rescue Quad should be renamed the Humble Quad.
It doesn't help quite as much as it does record your long walk as you pick up your little bits.
Where did Bill find that blue Angels Hercules from ?
More importantly, did the donuts survive ? 😁
As my grandpa used to say... dont worry hasn't been one of em got stuck up there yet. And what's this cold talk. -35 Celsius here today. Trade ya!
One thing I don’t miss about my club flying days is waiting for people to finish 20 minutes of flying circles and 8’s so I could put in a proper 3D flight.
Dont need a club or a runway for 3D bud.
Like they say taking off is optional..... LANDINGS ARE MANDATORY!! THEY SEEM LIKE THEY HAVING ALLOT OF FUN!!!
hehe .. oops .. reminds me of the days we tied party streamer paper to our planes and try to cut the other guys in half . the closer to the tail the more points .. mid air crashes were common and fun .. .lol
The "rescue" quad doesn't actually do any rescuing. It's just there to document the walk of shame. :-)
From 20:00....are you shooting a nature video of a pond?
You need to get some helium balloons and cray paper. Competitive mid air ribbon cutting. Or just have one plane drop the ribbons and the other planes cut the ribbons. Cray paper is biodegradable so it won't harm the environment should the debris fall where you cant get to it afterwards.
looks fun
Typical Old Men 'Slow' 😄
Slow Talking,
Slow Walking,
Big Farting,
Slow Flying,
Big Crashing 😃🙊🤣😂
Something to aspire to I suppose
@@elxero2189 ha😄 yeah, I'm nearly there 👍
Bravo 👏👏
😂😂😂😂
Well I was all excited to see the Ron’s nitros fly and I was very disappointed
Hi Bruce. Is the ADBS alarm ready to publish, it's a great time to build it in the UK with lockdown on ?
Just updating the code for the LCD... since the LCD I used on the prototype is neither very good nor readily available any longer.
Thanks Bruce . Keep the fun coming...........
I have just purchased a 2019 version X9D Plus SE Taranis radio, and I just cannot figure out how to get it to Work. Is there anyone who can help me out there ? Any Suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I await an answer with great anticipation.
Hey whats the name of that music at the end?
Special flatulence edition, brilliant
Been there!
